I admired their resilience after the Quick Weight Loss Centers went out of business just before COVID, leaving both the employees and clients high and dry. They stayed in touch with their old clients, which I thought showed dedication. So, when they opened GOALS and expanded to three locations, it seemed like a great comeback story. However, after my experience with GOALS, I'm left with some serious concerns. I was referred to the center by a friend who had followed Jake and Michael from Quick Weight Loss. During my consultation, they were very focused on selling me a package, offering a "ONE TIME ONLY" 30% discount on a lifetime membership. This hard sell immediately raised a red flag, especially since I had previously visited the center with my friend and saw similar discounts during a holiday promotion. . . Imagine my surprise when, just a month later, they called me to check on progress and push this holiday discount (which was a greater discount than they offered me one month before for the ONCE IN A LiFETIME deal). This made me question their transparency and whether the discounts were just a ploy to pressure people into signing up, Which of course they are. Another thing that bothered me was their sudden shift in approach to weight loss. A few years ago, before the rise of Ozempic, Jake and Michael were vocal about the dangers of drugs like ozempic, advocating instead for a healthy, low-calorie, high-protein diet. They may push you to start with ephedrine to jump start your journey. Now, however, they're pushing the very same drugs they once criticized. Although they can't prescribe these medications themselves, they have a doctor who conducts virtual visits in their office. The whole process felt a bit too scripted, with the team prepping you on what to say to the doctor to get the prescription you want. I'm left with an uneasy feeling about GOALS. While I don't think they're harmful, I can't shake the sense that something isn't quite right. The inconsistent messaging, the pushy sales tactics, and the sudden shift in their stance on weight loss drugs all make me question whether I can really trust them. I would advise others to approach with caution and thoroughly research before committing to anything.

The next day the office manager called me and said we can't see you as a patient any longer because you missed a week? I traveled for work and let Sterling know I was going to be out of town in advance. Complete retaliation for my survey. Never would recommend a place that treats patients like this. The day of appt they proceeded to spin down my blood, while waiting for that to process the doc and I had a chat (very nice & professional doctor) and I got lidocaine injected into my knees. When the tech came in with my prp blood the doc started to give me the injection I said wait, what about the stem cells, aren't you supposed to mix it in. Mark you the whole time my blood was being prepared by the technician in the lab, the doctor never left my site. Dr. Mackey stated oh, it's in there it was added already. That made me a bit nervous that it was mixed by the technician and not the doctor and the fact that I didn't see the vile the stem cells came in. Well, for the next 3 days my legs from the knees down swole up like a elephant's leg; and I was getting shortness of breath and chest pain for two weeks later. I had to go see my primary care physician about it. As far as I am concerned I paid $7000 for PRP mixed with saline water. I don't believe I got any stem cells with my prp, and if I did the cells weren't viable. Big disappointment because it didn't work and I've been having issues since then. I shared something my doctor had prescribed and was uncomfortable with - so the Doctor prescribed me a cream with a local pharmacy and let me know that the first prescription needed to be picked up and the rest would be mailed to me. I was given a price and paid it directly to the office and was told I needed to give 30 days notice to cancel. I was also making an appointment for PRP so didn't pay too close attention to the price- paid it and went to pick it up in North Palm at Compound pharmacy. I had been using bioidenticals for years- and used a diff compound pharmacy so as I walked into the other one in North palm- I needed to wait 15 minutes till it would be done, so I called my pharmacy to ask the price of the same thing there- and it was 1/2 the price I was charged!! When I shared the dosage that I was prescribed at Novagenix- they had 4 clicks listed and my pharmacist said that he would make it 1 or 2 clicks so it would last me 2-4 times as long for the same price he originally quoted!! The Novagenix office never offered me an actual prescription to take to my own pharmacy! So in essence- I was paying for something that would only last me a month--and could have gotten it at my own pharmacy in a better dosage (I would have gotten 4 months worth for the price I paid). I called my OBGYN and found that I can get this same prescription with my own doc at the pharmacy i was using. Saved me a ton of money. What I don't understand- I would have no problem paying a fee to see the Dr. at Novagenix to get his advice...like I did when i went to my OBGYN (since I cash pay-- less than $100) What also disappointed me -- I asked the pharmacy where I was sent to pick up this prescription-- they said if I walked into their place with a prescription in hand, the price was basically the same price as my own pharmacy !!! How can a doctors office collect SO MUCH MORE money than what a pharmacy charges?? Just be aware of this- if you like paying ridiculous prices for your prescriptions - i understand feeling better could be worth it to you, but not good business practice in my opinion. My pharmacist was very surprised at how this was being handled - paying at the office. He said this could be a "legality" issue. In addition, when I was trying to get an idea of how much my PRP was going to be- I got many different numbers ..nothing conclusive. I got a very high number per area. I was looking at doing 4 different areas (had a car accident)-- and the person who was in charge of that- was trying to get out the door.
