Last week a rock hit my windshield on the freeway and cracked my windshield (about a foot long). I called my insurance (State Farm) to file a claim and they said I only had to pay my deductible of $250. They also referred me to JSL Auto Glass to do the replacement. The process was seamless. I calling JSL and made an appointment. They came to my house and replaced the windshield in my driveway in one hour. Installer was on time, and they did a good job. The problem was their office HQ could not provide me with an invoice showing details of why they charged over my deductible by $267. They hand wrote on the invoice that shows a balance of $500 (my deductible) adding $267 due to use of OEM Glass. They said their system is not able to print an accurate Invoice!!! Not disputing the total just disputing the fact if its legal for them to do it why cant they give me an real invoice showing this detail! read more

This company did not properly install the glass on the rear of my car. The installers were un trained and could not even speak any English! after installation, they realized they left some glass residue inside the panels and could not fix it. When i complained to the company the blamed me and push back to my own insurance to handle the issue! unbelievable. I would stay away. read more

Sadly, part of living in San Francisco is rampant car window break-ins. Getting my window fixed quickly and with OEM glass was a top priority and JSL surpassed my expectations on professionalism, price and speed. They were able to get the glass even faster than my dealer and at a reasonable price that my insurance would approve. The installer (Angel?) was on time and went above and beyond trying to get every piece of glass out of the door so that nothing would rattle. He also was very knowledgeable about my car and methodical in taking my car door apart and installing the glass expertly. While I never hope to use RSL again, I would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Leaving one star because, while I can tolerate things not always going to plan, I can't tolerate having a company's phone rep insult my intelligence while trying to defend their incompetence. They were supposed to come to my wife's work between 1-3 to replace our windshield. She works at a well know location in San Rafael. At 2:10, the rep called to say the technician was in Mill Valley finishing a job and would be there shortly. At 2:58 rep calls us to ask if the technician is there because they haven't been able to reach him and then proceed to ask my wife to have him call them when he arrives. At 3:05 the technician calls us and states he can't find her location in downtown San Rafael so, in an effort to help, my wife suggests coming to our home...if he can find it. She then has to leave her work to come home just to make the technician's life easier. I'm working from home so I am now in the loop and incredibly annoyed that we, as the customer, are bending over backwards for this company to get this damn windshield replaced. I call the rep and tell her we want to cancel the job but am told that it's a custom pane and therefore not refundable; she then has the nerve to tell me he is one of the best technicians they have. Here's why I find this comment insulting: don't make excuses for an employee when he can't find a business that occupies several acres of San Rafael and then ask me to have him contact you because you can't get a hold of him -- it's not our problem. Just own the fact that he is either an idiot or your company doesn't know how to communicate. Anyway, I said I wanted to reschedule but the rep put me on hold so I could speak to a supervisor. After a few minutes of waiting the guy arrived at our place so I hung up. He is working on it now. Like I said, I can deal with mistakes especially when it's been so hard to find good employees during the pandemic. I just can't stand businesses inconveniencing their customers and then acting like I don't have reason to be annoyed by it. read more

Unfortunately we had a large rock hit our car windshield and we needed it replaced. We went through our insurance who recommended JSL Auto Glass. JSL always picked up their phone and followed up on updates about our windshield. We went through a nightmare experience trying to get the part from Mazda (who took weeks to ship the window, then the first window was cracked when it got to JSL, and we had to wait another 2 weeks to get another one) but the manager, Lisa, kept us in the loop and tried her best to figure out what was going on with our window. When the window finally came in, she got us booked for the next day and her technician was on time and finished the job within 20 minutes. I love that they will come to your house, job or wherever else you like to get your window fixed. Though we officially hate Mazda now (who's customer service is embarrassingly terrible), we are happy with the outcome and service from JSL Auto Glass. read more

The JSL folks were wonderful in repairing my smashed window! I was under time constraints (leaving on a road trip the following day) and the wrong glass had been ordered, but the JSL folks got the correct glass and returned in the evening to replace the window. They vacuumed, were courteous (wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic), and I even got a followup text from a dispatcher ensuring that everything was taken care of. I was referred by state farm to this place. I was told that they will call me back. I waited hours and no one called. I called the number and I was able to talk to a guy who is nice. He told me that someone from scheduling department will call me back. No one is calling so I decided to call again for the 2nd time, a very rude lady answered the phone she said there is no scheduling right now. Okay I know its about 5pm but because I waited for the return call. Also, if you don't want to work on Saturday remove it on your posted schedule!! What a waste of time!! Victim of a smash and grab in Santa Clara, and I commute in from the Tri-Valley. I called in and they immediately ordered the new window and visor glass - Shawn was out the next day and fixed it in less than an hour - coming to my work to do it. They took care of all the paperwork with my insurance on their end - I just had to sign the invoice. Tinting matched perfectly and window works and looks great. I needed a cracked windshield replaced, and with a $0 deductible on my comprehensive insurance, I didn't really care who had the best price. JSL Auto Glass came up first on the State Farm insurance search, and a quick Internet check showed that they were mobile so they would come to me. Today they showed up right at the start of the 1-4 window, were polite, did a great job, and cleaned up inside with a vacuum. Done in half an hour. Perfect. My windshield was broken by a golf ball. JSL ordered a new windshield for my 2019 Honda which took a few days but set up an appointment while it was on order. The guys came to my house and did a great job. While they were waiting for everything to set they even vacuumed my car, including removing the floor mats, all without asking. Someone broke into my car over the holiday weekend and smashed a window. I called JSL and they were able to book me the next day. They finished the job in about 30 minutes and even vacuumed and disposed of the plastic bag cover i had over the window. Would highly recommend these guys. I had a great experience with these guys! One of the joys of living in San Francisco is expecting your car to get broken into at least once a year, at least where I live. The day after a break in occurred, I called JSL and they were able to squeeze me into an already booked day. It was such a relief to have them come to me, versus me driving around the city with a busted up window. It was well worth paying about $35 more than going to a brick and mortar place, and JSL's quote was considerably cheaper than another mobile window repair service. On top of it all, they vacuumed my car really well and put everything back (it was still kind of a mess from being completely rifled through). They came and went in about 30 mins- speedy! I will definitely recommend these guys to anyone who befalls the misfortune of needing a window repaired. read more

They put a scratch on my dash but claim that they didn't. They guy was training the other guy and on that side the weather strip or whatever you call it inside the windshield is twisted. Don't recommend them. Wish I could post pictures. read more

JSL replaced the rear window on my Honda Odyssey last week. Spoke with Kim to setup the appointment. Got a phone reminder the day before to confirm. Angel and another installer showed up on time and did an excellent job. It was quick and clean. They even removed a sticker from the broken window and put it on the new one. :) read more

JSL arrived at my home 2 days later, vacuumed all of the glass from my car and the door panel (the guy even picked out my son's tiny lego pieces from all the chaos [every parent knows how much of a pain that could be]) and got everything done in less than an hour. My ins co sent them. the tech was not polite at all.!!! he thru the old gasket on the hood of my 2016 Nissan, left black mark from the old rubber, now i have a whistle in the wind shield that he installed !! now i have to make and take more time to have it done right!! use someone else save your time and use someone that has a real shop that you can see and talk to a real person !! read more
