Jason recently did our wedding for us in October and we are beyond happy and excited for how amazing everything turned out for us! Jason not only was prompt and on time throughout every meeting, email or phone call he also was above and beyond outstanding the day of our wedding. As a suggestion have him do your engagement pictures before you give him a deposit for your wedding now we're screwed out of $600 because we hated the pictures. I could understand if the wedding was called off and we lost the deposit but why on earth would anyone go through with a wedding photographer when they aren't even happy with engagement photos. We used JS Photography for our wedding pictures and i could not have been happier! we had originally booked a different photographer but, after he took our deposit and did our engagement pictures we couldn't get a hold of him for weeks. so - about 6 weeks before our wedding we decided to find another photographer. After meeting with about 7 different companies i met with Brandi and knew i wanted her to photograph our wedding. Their packages are not very expensive (compared to some of the places we've seen) and you get A LOT for your money. we got an engagement sitting (which included an album of all the proofs, plus the pictures on CD, PLUS a bunch of prints). For our wedding day we had Brandi from about 10 in the morning till about 10 at night. she was fantastic. she didn't miss anything! Our proofs (TWO ALBUMS FULL!!!) were ready when we got back from our honeymoon. We also got a copy of the proofs on CD. We got so many prints and our album was AWESOME! it is a Fine Art album and looks like a story book. the pictures are all printed right onto the pages. i love this idea ... so years from now our wedding album will look just like it did the day we picked it up! no worrying about pictures lifting or discoloring ... anything. and since it is all flat printed i had the option to put as many or as little pictures on a page as i wanted ... as well as having the option to put one picture across two pages (which was good since our wedding party was so big!!!). the service we received from Brandi was fantastic. she was professional while still being fun. her pictures were amazing. the posed pictures still came off looking impromptu (which we liked). My mother in law decided she wanted a picture a year after the wedding. so she called Jason (the company owner) and said that he was great. highly recommend JS Photography. read more

We had Joe shoot our wedding last weekend and he did a phenomenal job. He was fun but professional, listened closely to what we wanted and made our dream a reality! The slide show at the wedding was a big hit with guests and Joe never seemed intrusive during the night as the party raged on. Joe, was on time, and really knows how to pose people so it looks natural and elegant. His wide angle shots and expertise was perfection for our outdoors woodsy wedding photos. While the photographer assigned to cover my wedding took some good shots, he asked my wife during the reception if he could leave early after she tipped him $200, which she did not appreciate given: (1) it was our wedding and he was hired to photograph that day; (2) we were paying his company a lot of money; and (3) he had been tipped $200. Prior to hiring JS Photography, my wife met with Joe to discuss what kind of wedding album we'd receive. She was shown a very nice leather bound, high quality photo book as an example of what she'd receive. The product we actually received was comparable in quality to a Shutterfly book, which we are familiar with because my wife makes them all the time. The book was thin and cheap, and at least one picture appeared grainy when it was blown up on the page. When we reached out to Joe to remedy the situation, Jason the owner emailed the following response: "Mike, This is Jason the owner of JS Photography. I received your album today along with your letter. The images, album design, layout and content. are of perfect quality. The issue you have with the quality of the album is out of our hands. When your wife met with Joe he showed her a variety of albums and explained each one in detail. This album, the one you guys chose that came in the package you chose is a great album. It is however a 400.00 dollar album and met to be a more "middle of the road" level album. the other album he showed you (the fine art album) is a higher quality album with thicker pages, better binding, and all the things you wish this one had. But that album is quite a bit more money (almost double the price). You not being happy with this album is not anything that is our doing. We simply show you the albums, you pick the package, we make that album. I will need an address to send this album back to you at. If you would like to purchase a fine art album of the same design and size I can save you quite a bit of money as the design work is already done. original cost is 650.00 but I can have one made for you for 475.00 if you choose to. Thanks, Jason" We have not asked for the photobook back because we would not put it on a coffee table where people could see it. This review is long overdue, but my wife has been battling lupus for a while now, and just thinking about this incident stresses her out and makes her sick as this marred an otherwise perfect wedding experience. If I had a time machine, I would have had a family friend just take photos and then put together our own photo book. At least that way, our photographer would not have asked to leave the reception early. read more

How many good things can I begin to say about Jason at JS Photography. At our first meeting with Jason we knew we wanted him to be our photographer for our wedding day. He made us feel at ease and even gave us some education on choosing the right photographer, even if we didn't go with him. JS photography also did our engagement photoshoot, it was great fun and gave us time to get to know Jason before he turned up on the big day. All our friends and family were very impressed with how friendly, organized, and how he made the shoot stress free on a stressful day! On the day Jason was fantastic. He talked and mingled with everyone and recorded our day beautifully. His pictures truly captured the mood, atmosphere and emotion of the day. We are so pleased with all the photos he took and had lots of awesome comments from our guests wishing that he had photographed their wedding rather than having set poses. Jason even provided a mini display of the photos he had just taken earlier in the day for our reception just hours later, what an amazing bonus. Jason and JS Photography is by far the gold standard of wedding photography! For your event you get a great guy, partner, and the "grandmaster" of the camera. We used JS Photography for our wedding photos. Joe was amazing. I cannot say enough about him and his work. We met with him beforehand, and one piece of advice I got was, "make sure you're comfortable with your photographer because that person will be with you for a long time." We liked him right away. He was professional, and patient, and we liked his work that he showed us. We also called his references. Our pictures are amazing. Again, I didn't have anything that I wanted to have, so I let him do his thing. He took some really great photos. We had more girls than guys in the bridal party, and he worked with it perfectly. The photos were up 4 days afterwards, and we got the rights to our photos. When we got home for our honeymoon, the cd and the proof album was waiting for us! read more

Joe was great from the very beginning! We loved our engagement photos and were even more in love with our wedding photos. He was very professional but still a lot of fun and relaxed, which helped us and the entire bridal party to be at ease and have fun with the photo shoots. He was super efficient at our wedding - family photos took like 10 minutes! He had some very creative ideas for all of our wedding shots - even using random but creative items he found in the salon. He got great photos at the ceremony and reception but was never once in the way. He did a great job ensuring that each photo would look great - no extra 'stuff' in the background. He gave us our photos super quickly - which was awesome because we're impatient. He did a fantastic job capturing our and our family's emotions throughout the day. He was also super helpful throughout the wedding planning process, answering our general wedding questions and doing so promptly. Wedding photos were a big deal for us for our wedding, and Joe from J.S. Photography delivered beyond our expectations. read more
