I emailed them in October 2021 & they responded the same day saying they'd get the pictures in the mail the following week. It's Feb. 5, 2022 & I have no pictures STILL. I've sent THREE more emails asking where my pictures are & they haven't responded. I've tried calling multiple times, but the phone goes to their voicemail, which conveniently is full so I can't leave a message. They've stolen my $20, as far as I'm concerned, because I paid $20 for 2 pictures that I do not have & they refuse to respond. HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this terrible, dishonest company.

Katie was beyond our expectations! We were told that she is starting her photography career, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We saw some of her work with family photography and immediately saw the potential. She arrived the day before the wedding and what a breath of fresh air. There was no pretentiousness, no "Well, I wouldn't do it that way" attitude. Instead, she listened to what we were looking for in a photographer, asked some questions to dig deeper in some areas (i.e. important family / friend photos, dancing photos, etc.), and then got a feel for the flow of the event (as it was really an all-day affair). The next day, she showed up early and was ready to rock. She did a phenomenal job of meandering throughout the crowd to get shots that we'll cherish for a lifetime. The wedding was at a lake-side resort in Northern Michigan (Chimney Corners, Frankfort) and Katie used her expertise to incorporate the lake and rustic surroundings. One minute she'd be taking a photo of our family, the next she'd be laying flat on the ground to get the perfect shot of our friends. At one point, she was laying in the middle of M-22 (a lovely road that winds through Northwest Michigan) to get a priceless shot of us walking down the road. We escaped the party and did a more private photo shoot with the bride/groom, leveraging the rustic exploits of the resort. She was never pushy. She knew where the good shots would be. She was always asking us for any feedback. It was reassuring to know we had a budding photography wizard at the helm. Wedding photography really comes down to one thing - the end product! It was delivered to us in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! We plugged the thumb drive into our computer upon receipt and were immediately whisked back to our wedding day. The quality was immaculate. The photos looked like they were ready to be printed. She already touched them up, picked out the best photos, and provided them to us for immediate use. She even gave us good advice on what companies to use for printing photos for us and our families. If you are planning on having a wedding in Northern Michigan, or any other event where a professional photographer is needed, do yourself a favor and contact Katie Wind Photography. We know she will exceed your expectations the same way she did for the best day of our lives! --Brian & Kristine Noll

Christopher was incredibly patient and attentive in helping us clarify our vision and work within our budget. He was always honest with his suggestions, yet supportive through, providing photos and examples of how we could make it all come to life. Everything was delivered on time and looked lovely at the reception. I used mostly calla lilies and they held up very well, looked fresh, etc. The hand tied bouquets and table arrangements were simple, elegant, unique, and most importantly captured our style / vibe better than I could have described in words. It was great to work with Christopher for the invitations as well - he had a nice selection, good advice on invite etiquette, and detail oriented to ensure everything was right the first time. Made it so helpful to have one less vendor to work with and partner with someone we already knew had such great customer service.

He was funny, and he has the ability to get people to dance. (I'm sure the open bar helped). He has video and AV equipment available as well (DJ and videographer). I needed a slide projector last min and it was great to use an existing vendor (rather than search for another person). He had it, brought it, and presented it better than I had en-visioned it myself. What a relief! My parents, whom I"ve never seen or heard of dancing at anyone's wedding, was forced by my brothers to dance, and they stayed and danced a couple songs. It was great. He set the right tone and mood to the event, and we had a great time. My wedding was a mix of grandmothers to ringboy dancing, and they all had a great time. The ring boy said he has the most fun dancing. My mother-in-law loved the dancing. I survived 3 line dances requested by my mother-in-law. I'm amazed by John's skill and very happy that I hired him for my wedding. My friend who lives in San Diego wants to hire him, but unlucky for her, he is only in Michigan. I don't regret my choice of DJ.
