Finally was able to hire Billy for some rehab work and I couldn't be happier with the results…read more As a former contractor, I'm always amazed with how poorly the vast majority of contractors communicate. Go ahead, call five contractors. How many answer their phone? How many even respond? You probably already know how many. 1? 2, maybe? This project was a little annoying because I needed it done immediately. Also, it involved working in conjunction with a separate contractor that was working in the home. I was worried that it'd be hard to find a contractor to complete in time. I felt bad having such an immediate need but I wanted to call Billy first. Billy answered, with tools in his hands, mid job. I explained what I needed. He asked the right questions. We setup a time to meet and like clockwork, he showed up on time. Always friendly. Always informative. Bam! Work scheduled. I left Billy the lockbox code and he estimated his finishing time. I called him around that time to coordinate getting him paid. And, of course, the work was already completed. Not only was the work completed sooner than expected which allowed the entire project to progress faster than expected, but it was done perfectly. Which is a word I rarely use. But from the precision of the work, the cleanliness of the work, coordination with other contractors, quality of products he used...and yes, the value of everything involved...perfect! I'm not sure if I'll ever need contracting services in the Yuba/Sutter area again. But if I do, I'm only making one call. The same call you should make. I can't recommend Billy, his crew and his company enough. Quality work at a great value, performed efficiently and precisely and communicated well. Billywood for the win!!

As I was researching contractors Billywood certainly stood out. The name pulled me in but the excellent service made me stay. Billy and his team worked rapidly and thoroughly to replace my fence and the structural integrity of my garage, in extreme heat I might add. I received constant communication and updates, a new fence and restored garage wall in better condition than before the accident! But you don't have to take my word for it check out the before and after pics! I am truly grateful for Billywood Construction and wood (see what I did there lol) definitely recommend.

Took over 3 years to finally get my building to me. Years 1 and 2 we had trouble with scheduling,…read morethey always had a window for installation that didn't give me time to align with them. Year 3 we finally could get a window for installation but I was informed that I needed a permit (which I didn't need before). I went through the county for the permit process and more information was needed. The county wanted detailed plans from the manufacturer. When I reached back to American Carports it was explained to me that I needed to pay for those detailed plans. I ended up just having the material delivered and doing the installation myself. I am an engineer's son, so the installation paperwork they gave me was generic. The only positive was that most of the pieces were pre-cut but no detailed plans to tell me where the pieces went. I also noticed when the material was dropped off that there wasn't enough material to completely enclose my carport. After talking to a rep on the phone it was determined that the dealer didn't order my carport correctly after I explained multiple times that I wanted it enclosed. Now, I'm having to order pieces to fully enclose and costing me extra money I did not plan for. In the ordering process there should have been more done to make sure the order made sense. Why would someone order a roll-up door and exterior door with no siding? American Carports takes no responsibility in the matter and shifts blame to the dealer. Even for the miscommunication/misunderstanding, they did not offer any kind of assistance with extra cost after I explained the situation. This experience has been completely frustrating. If i could give negative stars I would. Would I recommend this company to a friend or family member? NO!

They kept a close eye on the quality of the work and if they notice something that should be done, they they pointed it out to me and took care of it. I would recommend their company to anyone that needed their siding done and they also do other things so if you wanna get your siding done, don't overlook WSG at least let them come out and give you an estimate and meet Max and his brother.

However, this review focuses on my experience with interior demo work--specifically, a partial wall demo in our home. Overall, the project was completed as promised, and the results are good. We needed a wall removed to open up our space, and I was told that while WSC mainly advertises as more of an outside/siding work business, they can without a doubt take care of what I needed and was assured the work would be professional and look as if the wall was never there. They went through a lot of dedication to achieve this, despite our discontinued flooring requiring them to pull up and reuse flooring from another area of the home (our primary bedroom). They made sure that area was properly restored, understandably at an additional cost. That said, I feel there was a lack of attention to detail in many aspects of the work. While most issues I raised were eventually addressed, I reached a point where I didn't feel it should be my responsibility to catch and report quality issues. These included: * Poor wall texture in some areas. * Paint that didn't match. * Dings in the wall that were either left as-is or patched sloppily with silicone. * An outlet that does not sit flush against the wall. * A noticeable line on the wall where the paint job was stopped abruptly. I will add that the splotchy paint job on the baseboards was partly due to me providing the wrong paint can when worker B asked for it, as I recall being informed by worker A that it was that can of paint. However, when I eventually called to address my concerns about the mismatched paint, the response I received by worker B was that he is "not a professional painter." I found this response unprofessional, especially considering I was paying for a professional job. It also felt like there was a lack of experience overall given the young age of most of the workers. Even guests have pointed out imperfections, and when I showed the work to a coworker with a background in general contracting, she was appalled by the quality--especially considering this was done by a professional company. I understand that with reno jobs, there is coordination to be done with multiple specialists (demo, drywall, texture, electrical) and they may come from diff companies, but the work performed by these contractors reflects directly on WSC and their standards. Additionally, I was told I would receive a closing form summarizing the warranty for their work via email, but I never received it --even though the job was completed summer of '24, around July or August. On the positive side, the space has improved significantly. The wall is no longer an issue, and the home feels more open and functional. However, the lack of attention to detail left us with several things to fix on our own, despite paying thousands for the project. While WSC seems to excel in siding (as reflected in their reviews), I would recommend looking elsewhere for interior renovation work if attention to detail is important to you.
