WARNING:: Has anyone around Croydon who has had work done or…read moregoing to have work done by a so called company called Hurley roofing and Guttering if so DONT This so called company ripped my parents off for a lot of money they never gave receipts or any paper work for the materials bought. They were to do fencing work in the garden where they broke and damaged the concrete posts and broke the concrete off and just left the broken bits in the neighbours garden. They built a little wall out the front and painted the floor behind the wall. The wall is good but they charged way over the top for building it which my parents found out after it should of cost a lot cheaper then they actually paid. What builder threatens to knock the wall down if they DONT pay up on the day he wanted. They included in the price getting rid of the rubbish which he lied about as all the rubbish got put in the alley way behind my parents house so they paid for it to be taken away just to be put round the corner. The paint work that was done was a disgusting job he poured the paint out and just left it thick and it's peeling and looks worse then before he started. This man Michael, mark, John whatever his name who is the main man he gives different names to people. He knew my parents were vulnerable as they are elderly and he took advantage of that. When u hand out business cards to ur customers do u always tear them in half thats strange in itself. I managed to find a house they were working on and warned the family of who they were dealing with. DONT get caught out by this company get paperwork and receipts and get the work checked out by someone else to see if it's been done correctly.

The job was repeatedly delayed with various excuses, including health issues, and was never completed. At one point, paint was spilled on our carpet, and we received ongoing misinformation about when the work would be finished. Eventually, Lee said his business had closed due to illness and offered to refund part of the money in instalments. We agreed, but he failed to make the very first payment on the agreed date. This has been a long, frustrating, and disappointing experience.

I have had these builders on a couple of projects since April 2019. Work should have been completed…read moreby end of August but they over ran to November. Unfortunately they left the site without completing the agreed work, therefore terminating the contract. This left me in the position of holding back the balance to engage a new team to complete the work. I Have tried to resolve issue with builder but to date no resolution and am now appointing a new team to complete. In the main their general building work is very good and often to a very high spec, when attention to detail is paid to. The standard of work can be variable depending on which team attends the site. They are very good at providing solutions and working organically. Builders are not gas safety registered or qualified electricians. There have been issues in these areas. They are not up to date with their building regulations. There have also been issues with communication and prices for jobs have not always been clear. There was no paperwork or receipts provided and cash payments were often wanted. Towards the last 3 months of the job, builders became very unreliable, often late or just not turning up. Also the electrician contracted through the Witek Constriction as to date not completed the electric safety check at both properties. This is a big disappointment as they came highly recommended and the issues could have been easily resolved on the part of Witek Construction. Had they been mutually resolved to the satisfaction of both sides I would have continued with them as there still lots of work to do across a number of sites.

Recently had Dara builders come and look at a fault in my bathroom electrical circuit. I had tried…read more3 other electricians who couldn't find the fault and walked away saying it was too difficult or couldn't be bothered and it would take too long. One of them even recommended I get my entire flat re-wired. Arian from Dara was the only person who actually took the time and was able to locate and fix the problem. The price they charged was very reasonable so upon offering a tip, he declined but only asked I write a review if I was satisfied with the work, which of course I am more than happy to do. Extremely courteous and amiable. Highly recommend.
