The job was repeatedly delayed with various excuses, including health issues, and was never completed. At one point, paint was spilled on our carpet, and we received ongoing misinformation about when the work would be finished. Eventually, Lee said his business had closed due to illness and offered to refund part of the money in instalments. We agreed, but he failed to make the very first payment on the agreed date. This has been a long, frustrating, and disappointing experience.

I met Dene for the first time when he came out and did the quote and he told me that he was very experienced in this line of work as he had been doing it since 1987! This reassured me that I had made the right decision for choosing this company to do my work. When Dene turned up, he started work straight away without no fussing and got on and did the job. I knew that what I was asking would be a challenge as I had asked Dene to paint my walls and ceilings and I also had a lot of old wood work which needed to be doing as well. I was surprised that he managed to get the woodwork from a yellow color to a bright white color, I thought that would have been impossible! When Dene had finished it looked astounding, I would recommend him to anyone.

They were to do fencing work in the garden where they broke and damaged the concrete posts and broke the concrete off and just left the broken bits in the neighbours garden. They built a little wall out the front and painted the floor behind the wall. The wall is good but they charged way over the top for building it which my parents found out after it should of cost a lot cheaper then they actually paid. What builder threatens to knock the wall down if they DONT pay up on the day he wanted. They included in the price getting rid of the rubbish which he lied about as all the rubbish got put in the alley way behind my parents house so they paid for it to be taken away just to be put round the corner. The paint work that was done was a disgusting job he poured the paint out and just left it thick and it's peeling and looks worse then before he started. This man Michael, mark, John whatever his name who is the main man he gives different names to people. He knew my parents were vulnerable as they are elderly and he took advantage of that. When u hand out business cards to ur customers do u always tear them in half thats strange in itself. I managed to find a house they were working on and warned the family of who they were dealing with. DONT get caught out by this company get paperwork and receipts and get the work checked out by someone else to see if it's been done correctly.

Anyone reading this review, please read it carefully and think twice before hiring anyone. I don't…read morenormally write reviews, but I think it is my duty to protect others from traders like MSC, who do not do the job correctly let alone finish it. MSC carpentry & construction Ltd. gave me a quote for my small and easy extension job. I accepted the quote and paid the 50% deposit. The agreed date of finish was in 3 weeks after the start date. First week, there was no problem, but I guess this is because, first week's work was outsourced to a different company. The nightmare started from second week. There was no work done, but a demand for additional money came; as per MSC, this is for; "to be on legal side, to get drawings and building control approval". I paid the amount, to make sure there is no delay from me. Since then, MSC has done only 20% of the job at the most in 7 weeks. They did not apply for building control or get the drawings done by architects even after chasing them many times. So, finally I applied for the building control, planning control myself and got the drawings done. They took the additional money for no reason. The baffling news came when building control inspector visited the site and failed the foundation for multiple reasons. They put me in a very awkward situation, I cannot leave the things as it is and if I have to finish the extension or bring my garden to what it was before, I will have to dismantle the work they have done by paying additional money to someone. This is because MSC never answer calls or return your calls. They only thing they do is keep promising over the email/WhatsApp messages as an act of procrastination. In short, MSC took 77% of the total amount for doing less than 20% of the work and that too failed to pass by building control.
