I have bought fabric here as well as quilting supplies and a quilting machine with frame. Excellent customer service. The only drawback is the lack of my favorite fabrics but hey, they can't carry *everything*! Most of their fabrics are batiks, 1930s reproductions, modern prints. They also have sewing machines for sale, and do cleaning and servicing on existing machines regardless of brand. They did a wonderful job with my Elna when it developed a problem! Good prices, service with a smile!

David handed it to me with NO Apology for the wast of my time or the lack of communication or accountability!! Terrible customer service!! We struck up a great conversation on sewing and the town. The store had a huge selection of fabrics. We were so excited to get to pick out fabrics compared to online. They had a wide array of embroidery and quilting materials too. At checkout, I picked up "that purple thang" I've seen used in many YouTube videos. It was just a great experience overall. Candia is a lovely town! P.s., if you go west on rt 27 (toward the Smyth Public library), about 2 mile down, there is an outdoor maple syrup stand that's locally sourced!

I had been searching for local furniture stores and though I often use Yelp, I finally went…read moreelsewhere to find one. Low and behold, I read about Seavey's in Portsmouth (with parking!) which apparently is in a new location. It is a light-filled factory building space but not overwhelming. It is set up so you want to walk around and try things out. Much of the furniture brings you back to the 50's. Some pieces are works of art! But many were beautiful but affordable. And made in this country! And it is locally owned! Which is what I wanted. Michael the owner is friendly and informed. And no pressure. He spent a lot of time with us trying to choose pieces for our limited space. We have swatches at home now to make decisions and look forward to returning to work with him. Maybe the categories on Yelp need to be switched up with furniture stores at the top so you don't miss going here first.

Every time I go there I find the decor refreshed with something new to feast your eyes on. Their upholstery is 8-way hand-tied springs! and kiln dried hardwood frames, which are hard to find at their price point today. Quality, quality, quality! I sing Red Bird's praises to everyone and I highly recommend their other shops (Wish Basket and Nola).

I really like being able to find cards that are unique & somewhat local instead of CVS, target type places. I spent more time in this store than I should've but bought several birthday cards that were pretty neat.
