He did a great job at communicating with me throughout the process. He gave me an option of satin or gloss for the coating. I was very pleased with his work and it looked amazing. Juan does quality powder coating of rims at an affordable price. His shop was located on a row of a bunch of other shops down a narrow driveway. Went into the shop and the owner is very rude and will tell you to go elsewhere if you even disagree with the price hes saying. Their are nicer ways to say things like that. Just bought brand new Fuel rebels a week ago and made a stupid mistake and made a huge dent into the rims. Like everyone else, found Luis on the Tesla Reddit forum. He truly is one of those hidden gems. Doesn't appear that he advertises or does anything other then great work. Luis was super responsive. Unlike some others, Luis did not my specific rims in stock to just swap out, so he had to powder coat it. Process took about 9 hours (8 AM - 5 PM.) This includes the painting of the caliper. Basically I dropped the car off in the morning, Ubered to Disneyland for the day, and came back to a beautiful newly coated set of rims. His prices were beyond responsible. Really happy to have stumbled upon this place, can't remember exactly where I found it but I believe I may have stumbled upon it on Yelp. Like others, I wanted to make sure I took my car to a place that had experience with teslas, since the car can be odd for people unfamiliar with it. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up 30 minutes before close, and man, am I happy with the quality of the work. Haven't noticed any imperfections, and finally got rid of that ugly stock silver color that come with the 19 inch tesla wheels (literally why doesn't tesla offer this color as one of their customizations for the wheels). I also last minute opted to get the calipers painted, also glad I did because the blue really pops with the gray. The staff is friendly and specializes in wheels, I like to go to places that focus on one thing because experience usually leads to quality. They take care of your car and only work on one car at a time at the store (which was a big selling point for me). Lastly, the price was more than fair. I shopped around a few places that came in way higher in price, and wanted to hold my car for nearly a week to get the work done, which isn't an option for me. Overall 5/5, would recommend giving these guys a car if you're looking to have some wheel customizations done. read more

I thought I would give Luis at JR Wheel some representation on Yelp because I am over the moon ecstatic about the job he did on my Tesla Model 3. Many owners sang praises about Luis' shop so I had to give him a call. I am a pretty nit picky person when it comes to quality of work, but after reading all the positive things about Luis I felt confident leaving my car with him. I had a difficult time deciding on which grey color to use but Luis was nice enough to make a sample for me so I could compare it with another option I was considering at his shop. I texted him many times with a lot of questions and he always responded and was very kind (not to mention patient). When I finally decided on a color I was able to take my car in immediately (the following business day), drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon on the same day. Not all places can do a same day pick up so I was very happy to be able to do this. As for the quality of work, it is IMPECCABLE. The gloss and pearly finish is so beautiful. Honestly, I am so pleased with the outcome and want to tell everyone about Luis because I believe in the work he does so much.
