I've been a patient of Dr McFarland for years now. The only reason why I keep going to him is…read morebecause he listens and never criticizes me. EVERY other Dr I've gone to will tell me I'm fat or how fat I am causes headaches or carpal tunnel syndrome (which I believe is complete malarkey). I understand weight can cause joint pain or heart problems, etc. but not headaches or wrist pain. Anyway, I digress... I agree with all the other reviewers saying the office ladies are rude AF. And they are, that's why I'm giving the practice 2 stars- Dr McFarland is the saving grace. The ladies won't smile, won't say hi, they always look miserable and if you ask them something they act like it's a huge inconvenience for them. It doesn't matter how nice you are, or if you smile at them, they'll look at you like you're the scum of the earth. Also, for whatever reason, they always call in my Rx's to the wrong pharmacy. I don't use Laura's Pharmacy, I only went there ONCE for an ointment like 5 years ago, and they ALWAYS call my Rx's to Laura's. Mind you, I've been going here FOR YEARS and see the Dr EVERY 3 MONTHS, and they STILL SEND MY RX TO THE WRONG PHARMACY! I've left messages to ask for them to cancel/ delete Laura's from my record but they still send my Rx there. I even confirm my pharmacy during my visits, and they still send my Rx to Laura's. It is what it is.

My brother ended up here for a ruptured appendix after an urgent care said there was nothing wrong…read moreother than perhaps a little dehydration. We went in via the ER and were seen quickly. Shortly after a physician spoke with my brother and reviewed his history and the urgent care visit, some scans were ordered and what the ER's initial suspicion was, appendicitis, turned out to be a ruptured appendix and a quick trip to the operating room followed by a few days post op stay because of complications the ruptured appendix caused. Overall we felt the staff were good and they took good care of my brother, which can be tough because he has some learning disabilities which makes something like a hospital stay with a NG tube a bit of a scary deal. Both the attending physician and the surgeon made their rounds and we ahad the opportunity to speak with them several times throughout the recovery process. And, the surgery and recovery were successful and my brother is fine. Also, I really liked their patient portal as I could see, almost real-time, when test results and doctors notes were input. This allowed me to really keep track of what was happening when I couldn't be bedside. For a small hospital, I thought they did a good job for us.

They gave me a special number so I could follow his surgery on a big screen. I was able to sit with him before and after surgery. ALL the staff, doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist, etc were so friendly and informative. He was treated like a King. When he woke up he drink 2 sprites and ate 2 bags of graham crackers. They also provided all kinds of snacks, coffee, sodas, water, hot chocolate in the lobby for anyone waiting on someone having a procedure. The place was extremely clean. Couldn't recommend enough.
