We discussed him mowing, edging and weed eating each week, and he said he would come out before the first service to make sure the irrigation worked. We hired him and he send an invoice that specified all 5 dates. The problems started right away. The day he was supposed to come to house to check the irrigation he called and said he couldn't make, but that the yard was so nice he didn't feel he needed to now. I figured he was busy and wrote that off as he trusted the yard was good. We paid the invoice in full. While on vacation we didn't get any alerts on our cameras for him showing up the first Thursday. We had to text him from the UK, and he said he would go out the next day, Friday, which he did, but the video showed he didn't mow. He raked, used a weed eater, and blew the yard is all. The next week the same happened. No show Thursday and we had to text. He explained Fridays were better and we said fine, but Friday he didn't show. We texted from abroad again Saturday and he apologized and said he'd be out that day. That personal stuff had come up. But nope. He didn't show. Sunday - 3 days late (2 from the day he said was better) he texted a screenshot of a map saying he was on his way. After over 2 weeks he finally mowed The next Sunday we came home and no word. It appeared he was going to wait 2 weeks again and maybe come that following Friday, but at this point he'd missed every date, changed the schedule, and not performed the duties he'd agreed to. We fired him and, even though the 2 on site visits he didn't actually fulfill his job we asked for a refund. To be fair and easy we asked for only half, not 3 of 5 days, but he has since refused to answer. I sent a message saying that at that point he could keep 2 days but wanted a refund for the 3 he didn't do. Again no answer. I called and he did answer but hung up on me. Jr charged me for 5 days barely did 2, and seems to intend to steal 3 days worth of my money. Money he didn't earn. Do not trust him.

We contracted J-House and were initially happy with the service. We did ask for additional services…read morethat were never fulfilled even after reaching an agreement and over 6 months of waiting. But understandable, we were requesting a larger sprinkler addition to the yard, perhaps it wasn't in the wheelhouse. Multiple sprinklers were broken over the course of the service and after we stopped service, we found cut lines and broken sprinklers that required repair and replacing. Weeding was done with a weed whacker, and no longer any spraying which ultimately spread more weeds and has caused a larger problem. Some visits were 10 minutes for the front and back yard, others were up to 30-40 minutes. Communication was somewhat a challenge. I hesitate to review when things aren't positive, but J-House could use some improvement. I really just felt like it was a mow, blow and go scenario, rather than a gardening team that wanted/worked to improve the yard over time.

When I finally did get ahold of him, he apologized saying that he was having equipment issues and would be there the following week which he again failed to do and again ignored all attempts to contact him. He just stopped showing up completely. Don't waste your time. He is very unreliable.
