I bought a very expensive glass jug of peach cider as a birthday gift for my husband. His birthday is in a few days.
As I was going to wrap it, I noticed mold floating around the inside of the cider, so I brought it back to JP Total on Independence Pass.
When I showed it to the woman working there, she said that two other buyers had just brought back their ciders with mold, and she wasn't about to do it for me. I asked politely for an exchange for another product and not a refund. She refused and said because two others had already completed an exchange, I would be denied completely. That seemed unfair.
I always try to support local businesses, but JP Total lost my business with floating mold in their cider. Someone could get really sick from ingesting it.
She accused me of opening the jug, but it was sealed. Nice customer service! Since it was a gift, I hadn't even given it to my husband yet, so I left it in the counter and walked out.
I was stunned and I left telling her I would never return.
It was gross! Don't buy the cider!
What governmental entity should check in on this place?
Then I promptly called American Express to dispute the charge and the Representative was also grossed out at this story of floating mold.
What a shame that JP Total doesn't stand behind their very expensive cider and just lost business from a 20 year resident and another small business owner. I can't imagine how they will stay in business with such poor customer service. read more
