I purchased a house last year with a pool and discovered quickly that I needed to replace the liner. I called around to several different pool companies and had many questions since I had no idea about anything about a pool. JP pools wasn't the cheapest quote that I received. But they did answer all of my questions and what they were claiming to do seemed to me far above what other companies were telling me. They finally came out last week to replace the liner. I thought I needed my base redone, and when they got here and looked at it, he told me it wasn't necessary, which I thought that was very nice of him to be honest about not needing it. They put foam down on the bottom of my pool and around the walls and I was very impressed with the entire job that they did. They were quick and cleaned up all their mess like they were never here. I wish I could give "0" stars. What a nightmare this company has been to work with. They installed my pool purchased from Namco on May 18th. On June 23rd, the town came to do the building inspection. Come to find out, JP Pools installed my pool in the wrong spot - too close to my deck - and is not to building code. The building department will not pass it unless I either move the pool or shorten my deck. I have been trying to reach out to them since then and they continue to ignore me. Save yourself the headache and choose ANY company other then them! read more

JP Pool knowingly installed my above ground pool liner over incorrect substrate causing leaking issues within the first year, and now will not back their workmanship. I've been calling them for 2 years with problems, asking them to back their work and fix my pool. I have been ignored, neglected, and fed the biggest line of BS, so they don't have to honor their work. After getting a second opinion from another pool company, I have decided to move on. DON'T EVER TRUST JP POOLS LLC!!! What adds insult to injury, is how the semi-retired owner John, spent 20 minutes on the phone with me bragging about how well his company did in 2020. That the COVID money they earned not only helped him to retire, but in his own words, "built me a brand new house, which I am sitting in right now!" This was during one of my calls in 2021 when asking him to come out and look at the problem, which he refused to do. read more

JP Pools is the go to company in CT. The owner is extremely people friendly and great to deal with. They kept there promise with timelines and their communication in the process could not have been any better. These guys do get booked up in the early summer months but it is worth the extra wait. We hired another local contractor who claimed to have been putting up pools for 20 years. They did not put the pool where it was supposed to be and the workmanship was horrible. I took the pool down immediately. JP pools put the pool exactly where we wanted it and the pool was setup as it should be. 1 year later and I still could not be happier. I can not say enough good things about my experience with JP Pools. I would recommend them to anyone having a pool put in. Thanks to John we can enjoy are pool with years to come read more

Very poor service we paid a deposit on April 15th, we called 15 times after that to try to get an appointment for our liner replaced (we had the new liner). They never returned our calls. read more

If I could Give them no stars I would! The amount of balls this company has is amazing. The way they talk to customers who are paying them thousands of dollars, who are hiring them for a job is absolutely revolting. John Paradise Is his name. He texts you saying "don't take this as a threat but you need to make yourself available for when we are ready to install your pool" um no that's not how this works, I hired You. You work for me. I'm paying you thousands of dollars. He Then proceeds to unprofessionally send me heart emojis. after sending two 20 year old kids to build my pool and pump/filter, we found out they installed the pump wrong and stripped the screws so we couldn't even fix it. when I asked for someone from the company to call me before I made My final payment to see how they would fix this situation, no one called me for an entire week. Then they proceeded to charge my bank account I paid Them the deposit with, over drafting it and for a larger amount then originally quoted. after i told them I wanted to pay with a different card. He then called me at 10:30 at night screaming at me that I wouldnt Get my money back and to find another pool company to deal with. do not do business with them! read more

I have to say that my experience with JP Pools was pretty solid (so far). I know a few different people who had bad experiences with them, but I'm very pleased. We recently moved to a new home and had to replace the pool liner to get it up and running for the summer. We called and the owner came out for a quote within 24 hours. He seemed like a great guy, but did try to up sell us a little bit (can't really blame him for this). Aside from that, the prices are fair and the work quality is top notch. I also loved the fact that they work directly with a water company to deliver your pool water almost immediately after they install the liner. Huge points for convenience here. So far so good! I will update my review accordingly if things go sour when we need them again... read more

i was fortunate enough to have John and his crew get the install contract from Namco for my pool install. it amazes me there are not more reviews for this company. I spoke with owner, I took a couple pictures of install location texted them to John, 4 days later the crew showed up, 4 hours after that my pool was in place. John is a great guy to work with. He has a very chill personality and is extremely knowledgeable. He installed our new above ground pump and filter. We absolutely love how maintenance free it is. Our pool is crystal clear following the advice John gave us. We look forward to him installing our new pool liner in the near future. Very knowledgeable about pools and always makes himself available to help. Communication was great as I was paying for my liner for my pool. However, after the work was done, they were not nice when I complained about an issue I was having. This year, being only the 3rd season with my new liner, I noticed the liner had totally separated from the foam base behind it. I emailed, called at least 3x and have not heard a peep from them. I told them I would just like them to come by to look at it, but not even a phone call saying they are busy or anything. It's as if they dropped off the face of the earth. I hope the Better Business Bureau can find them...hightly not recommended unless you only want to see them once even if something goes wrong. Never, ever use JP Pools for your pool installation. They did a decent job at installing our pool but destroyed our yard with their trucks. They also left garbage all over. I called the owner and Saturday afternoon and never received a call back. I called again on Monday and finally spoke to the owner. I shouldn't say that I spoke to the owner. He proceeded to raise his voice and belittle me the entire time. I was on the phone for 50 minutes and I couldn't get a full sentence out. He told me that the customer isn't always rights and that input him in a tough spot because his son installed the pool and that he would believe his son over me. He blamed all the damage on my husband because he told them how he normally drives into the yard. The got the truck stuck several times and had to tow it out of our yard which caused so much damage. They even ripped out our dog fence. The owner proceeded to criticize how my husband ran his own business. At one point, the owner told me I wasn't being an adult because he wasn't telling me what I wanted to hear. I actually would've been fine if they didn't repair the lawn damage. The part that really bothered me was how I was spoke to. As a business owner, I would never raise my voice at our customers. Through some research afterwards, I found several complaints stating that the owner refuses to listen to his customers, gets frustrated with them and raises his voice. I also found complaints about shoddy work being done. After going around in circles, I finally hung up. The owner proceeded to call my husband right after and complain that you just can't talk to women about these things. So let's add sexist to the list if complaint. He proceeded to raise his voice at my husband and told him that we owned his damage. So I hope this review helps anyone else looking for pool installations. read more
