I clearly remember him being a charming man that would always make me laugh so I would be comfortable. After two years I had the best smile one could achieve. He placed permanent retainers behind my front upper and lower teeth and gave me separate retainers to sleep with. Like a common 14 year old, I lost those after 6 months, never getting to use them again. Let me tell you, IT NEVER MATTERED. I am writing this review to let you know my teeth did not budge one bit until about THIRTEEN years later as I now have a very small gap on the side of my smile, barely noticeable. That's how great his work is. It took almost a decade and a half for my teeth to change at all, despite me not using the recommended retainer and my permanent retainers remain intact. I have had many dentists praise his work and even ask for his name when going in for my yearly cleanings. Before starting treatment, I wasn't really happy with my smile. I used to actually force my upper lip up when I smiled because I felt like you couldn't see enough of my teeth. I wanted to be able to show more of my teeth and create a wider smile. I had also started noticing that my teeth were shifting, and I knew it was going to get worse if I don't do something now. I had orthodontic treatment in my teens with a different orthodontist, and I always wore my top retainer, so getting braces again as an adult was something I thought about very carefully. I researched orthodontists in the area pretty heavily for over two years. I wanted to find someone who had experience with adult braces and was comfortable treating someone who has crowns on teeth. I also wanted an orthodontist who understood that I wasn't looking to simply straighten my teeth. I wanted to change my smile and the overall appearance of my face. One thing I really liked was being able to see pictures online of their real patients, rather than just stock photos. I also started asking people in the area who had really nice smiles where they had gone for their orthodontic treatment. Honestly, I think this is one of the best ways to get a true referral.. asking people whose results you genuinely admire. From the beginning, the staff was kind, accommodating, and, most importantly, honest. The office is clean, modern, and up to date. As an adult getting braces, I thought I would feel much more embarrassed or self-conscious than I actually did. The braces were barely noticeable, and most people didn't even realize I had them unless I told them. Friends, family, and peers were actually more curious about why I decided to get braces, and so many people would tell me they had been thinking about changing their own teeth too. Now that I'm finished, I can honestly say I'm so happy I did it. Dr. Grzetic and Dr. Prose were amazing. I love my smile, but what surprised me the most was the overall change in my face. I truly didn't realize how much your face can change when your teeth and smile are properly aligned. You're going to have your teeth for the rest of your life. If you're not happy with them now, you're probably not going to be happy with them 10 or 20 years from now. Don't keep putting it off. Make the appointment. It's worth it. Another was so strung out on caffeine, I swear I never saw him blinked. So when I found CS Dental Associates many years ago, I never wanted to go anywhere else. I even commuted in to see my dentist when I lived in downtown Chicago. They have several dentists working here, and I actually saw a few of them for various reasons (maternity leave, vacation, etc.) I was nervous every time they made an appointment for me with a new dentist, but they have all been great. They give me the play by play while they're working in my mouth, which helps me stay calmed and informed. In the recent couple of years, they were able to assign me a regular dentist. This is nice since he knows my history and I am comfortable with him. The staff is friendly, the office is clean, and there's a TV in the waiting room. It's conveniently located a few doors down from Jewel, so I can get my grocery shopping done at the same time. Hooray to efficiency!
