We had them out last year for a tune up with no issues, but this year when they came out they charged us an extra $50 for a "trip charge" after the service was done that no one told us about prior. I called and asked why I was getting this and they told me "every other heating company charges this now" but I called around and none of the other local companies do. The other issue I had was that they came out for the tune up on 12/15 and our payment didn't pull from our debit card until 2/2. When I called to ask why they didn't pull the payment for 6 weeks the guy blamed it on our debit card which is false. Someone there messed up and didn't run the payment right away. I would probably still use them if there had been any sort of apology for not telling us about the trip charge and waiting so long to run the payment but the guy I spoke to just kept trying to pass the blame and didn't offer any sort of apology. Terrible customer service and shady business practices.

All told, over $10,000 to start and finish a bathroom and WE supplied the toilets, sinks, faucets, etc. This guy is a rip off. Buyer beware, he will lie when his own guys screw up the layout of the supply and drain lines and you have to pay them to come bust it up to fix it. When they didn't install a required pump, yup he charged to come fix it and took a month to do it. Costing me a months rent while we waited for occupancy. Run from them!

Because of his knowledge, we decided to go with a new heater. He helped us get financing quickly and it was installed by two awesome techs he has. They were so considerate, putting down tarps so they wouldn't damage the floor as they came in and out. At one point, the tech redid all the wiring so it would "look cleaner". They were so nice and quick. Cleaned up everything before they left. I would highly recommend Jack.

Afterwards, I had concerns about how to properly clean the grate, as there was no accessible panel. A representative from Bob's confirmed that the grates are not removable and advised using a product called Nu-Calgon Evap Foam No Rinse to clean the condensing coil. Earlier this year, Matthew's Heating & Cooling inspected and cleaned my furnace. They determined that the condensate drain had not been installed in a workmanlike manner and strongly advised against using the cleaning product mentioned above (see attached report). To date, we have identified at least two furnaces that experienced this same issue. I scheduled a meeting with the condo board president and a representative from Bob's Heating. No one from Bob's showed up for the meeting. I would urge any resident living at Richmond Terrace to use another vendor when replacing their furnace.
