A bit of a stickler for looking at ingredients on packaging I need to befriend someone who reads Chinese/Japanese/Cantonese/Mandarine so that I know what I'm buying exactly. Pre-packed, wafer-thin beef and pork rolls to drop into your instant ramen noodles, millions of soy and oyster sauces, billions of chilli oils, gummis, Poki, bamboo shoots, it's happy hour at the freaking flavour factory and you've got the golden ticket. Of course, at least half of this place is things that I don't recognise and will probably never try (read: weird, so weird) but I try one new thing every time I come here. It's has the range of Asian products as well as a range of what Coles & Woolworths would stock. Free 1 hour parking when $50 is spent. I was very impressed by he helpful staff upon exit when I asked if the shopping trolley could be taken to car park. Answer is no. However, they send a staff member down to the car with you. These little touches & the staff attitude is what would bring me back here. Unlike some other owners of Chinese shops that are just plain rude that I don't even shop there anymore.

I've had 2 Brennans batch loafs delivered along with my black and white Clonakilty pudding that was later drowned in Ballymaloe relish and washed down with Club Shandy. Not good enough for you? Throw in some Kerrygold cheese and butter which they now deliver, why not have it on on some of their soda bread? What about the other brands and food they have on offer? George Hook himself would find it hard to pick holes in their selection. Whenever I feel like if we only had old Ireland over here, I know these guy's have heard Ireland's Call for food from home and will bring it to your doorstep! And somehow an unpretentious and homely cafe pouring lavazza coffee with white fluffy raisin bread and other comfort food is stuck on the front of this tiny emporium, evidently with a big sister cafe in Artarmon. And I unexpectedly had to have coffee and raisin bread and found about fifty bucks worth of spices and stuff I desperately needed. Well worth a visit. So not hipster.

Yes :) -GREAT butcher - I'll be back for meats.
