I ordered online where there were plenty of options to choose from. The site was easy to use and select a pick up time. I got an email when the order was received and another when the order was ready. The flowers were ready quickly - one order was ready to be picked up in only 2 hours - and they looked beautiful. The shop smelled wonderful when I went to pick up the bouquets. Beautiful arrangements.

As a business owner in Lynchburg I am HURT by the customer…read moreservice I received after costing another local business. I visited Kathryn's Flowers one weekday morning. I was seeking a specific color but the flower type itself did not matter. Everything I inquired about the saleswoman would cut me off mid sentence stating the price as if I could not afford what I was seeking. She shouted at me "100 roses? THATS LIKE 700 dollars !" And went back to what she was working on. At this point I'm upset but I really needed beautiful flowers and I know they are the shop. I ask to see a catalog she throws it on the counter. I picked out two arrangements and the woman at the counter "wasn't sure if she could get the flowers." I just say thank you and leave.. take your hard earned dollars elsewhere! The price didn't matter as I'm throwing a celebration to honor my mother. I'm actually glad her service was pitiful because I received 100 beautiful orange roses from an online vendor for $100!!!! Now I'm off to spend the other $600 I guess she assumed I didn't have, else where! Money isn't an issue with me. Bad customer service always will be.

Teresa and the team at Glencliff are incredible! She was extremely reliable, responsive,…read moreprofessional, and knowledgeable. She has an absurd amount of experience and knows exactly how to focus on the couple so that it is a stress free day! The grounds are beautiful- they put a ton of work into making sure flowers are blooming, everything is clean, and the set up is exactly how you like it. They maintain tons of lights that make the venue look like something out of a fairy tale. Teresa went out of her way to help me during the planning process so that everything was prepared and she took care to communicate all of the details with us so it was all taken care of. She solved countless crises (the cake baker backing out last minute, the rehearsal dinner being double booked, our outside caterer being non responsive, I could go on...) without ever adding stress to my plate and with always taking care of the problem in a quick and professional manner. Everything is also priced very reasonably- I honestly would have been willing to pay double what we did for the great service we got and the beauty of the venue. Also, we received massive discounts from other vendors because they love working at Glencliff so much. The bouquets were also incredible! Teresa included extra flowers and designed the bouquets to fit in perfectly with the rest of the day. She is clearly an expert in her trade. Everything was fabulous and I'm so thankful we chose Glencliff for our wedding!

The grounds are breath-taking! (Many of our wedding guests were very complimentary on how beautiful Glencliff was!) Teresa was wonderful to work with - she handled so many details for us that would have been difficult to take care of long distance. Although we did not use all of her "team" for one-stop-shopping, it was nice to have that option. We had our wedding ceremony at a nearby church and Teresa was there for the rehearsal and service, making sure everything came off without a hitch! Teresa did a beautiful job with the bridal party flowers, the poolside spread of hors de oeurves, and a delicious dinner. Her DJ, Carla, was fabulous - handled the job of Master of Ceremonies professionally and kept thing running smoothly! I was most impressed with Teresa's willingness to do what she could to make it truly "our wedding". We appreciated her expertise and suggestions but bottom line, she listened to what the bride desired and did all she could to accommodate our requests - even if it meant making last minute changes. I have no reservations in recommending Teresa and Glencliff Manor for YOUR wedding/reception venue!

Moms sip coffee while kids play in an enclosed play area. As a single mother I can't explain how much I appreciate this-only $22 for 2 children. The kids meals were $5.50, drinks $3. I got the best white chocolate matcha I've ever had for like $5. Every detail was thought about in the operation of this business. From the diaper vending machine to the thoughtfulness of the play area to the decor, the menu, the snacks. All you had to do was put a card on file and hold up the things you wanted to buy, viola! No swiping a card or anything. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was laid back and chill. There was staff keeping an eye on the kids. It was clean, bathrooms included. Despite the busyness there was no wait for food or drink items. Bravo. Please open one in Roanoke.

The person on the phone was very helpful and accommodating. I requested a natural, woodsy arrangement in green and white. She asked if I liked curly willow (...do I like curly willow??!! Yes!), and when we concluded our business she said, "We'll make something very nice for you." Well let me just say, Leo Wood hit it out of the park! The pic doesn't do it justice. The finished product was formal enough for the occasion but it had long pieces of curly willow reaching out in stunning asymmetrical glory. I highly recommend this florist!

There are currently zero florists in Rustburg that I could find, so I thought I'd order from a florist in nearby Lynchburg. I went to Leo Wood's website and placed an order for a $45 bouquet with a delivery fee of $18, with a total of around $65 with tax. About 5 minutes later, I got a call without so much as a "hello" and was told in a frustrated tone that "I'm not delivering anything to Rustburg for $45! I'm cancelling this and you can order a more expensive arrangement! It gives you a minimum cost on the website for deliveries outside of a certain radius!" I replied, "Excuse me. You are being very rude. I am not from Lynchburg or Rustburg and have no reference on how far that drive would be from your place of business to my family member's home. Also, I did not read the whole entire website and did not have any alerts that stopped me from placing the order. Go ahead and cancel my order. I refuse to do give any money to a business that speaks to customers in this way." I'm assuming the person I spoke to on the phone is Leo Wood himself, although they never greeted me on the phone or offered their name. Would absolutely recommend Kathryn's Flower & Gift Shop though. They are where you should spend your hard-earned money, not this place.
