Just stopped in San Juan for the day off a cruise ship. Ignored the giant jewelry stores with their constant sales come-ons and looked around for a real store with jewelers running it instead of sales people. (Not one getting a cut from the cruise ships). Stumbled upon this one and was very pleased with the service and the prices. The selection was smaller than a giant store, but so were the markups. It was more like a mom and pop store, but had nice things and a jeweler and two assistants where I could talk, try things on, not fight for attention, and I was very pleased and bought a couple of items. They also had some Judaica, which I bought for a friend. The owner was American which in my case made it easier to converse, although he speaks Spanish too I assume. The assistants were from the island, and so they could speak both languages (and maybe more) Happy with this place, try it out. read more
