Stopped in for lunch, hubby had one of their burgers, it came with fries, special that day was chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, slice of bread, soup or salad, so I had to try it. Hubby said burger was good, it was huge and falling apart as he ate it, and they gave him a nice portion of fries. The special was really good, meat and potatoes had brown gravy on top. It was a big chicken fried steak, I wish there had been fewer lumps in the potatoes and they needed salt, the salad was iceberg with cheese/dressing, but it was all very tasty. Sub par food. Mediocre service. I visisted this restaurant twice with friends. The second time i got a taco salad which was basically a bed of lettuce with a hamburger patty that had been chopped up and thrown on top. Tomatoes, onions and cheese on top of the lettuce. It also had a added ingredient. There was a hair on the plate. It was totally inedible. I showed it to the waitress and was charged for it anyways. read more

Terrible service, the place wont even take responsibility to hire more than one server. Food was very subpar, ordered a bacon western omelette and it only had one strip of bacon in it. Then its $4 extra for just a serving of hashbrowns with an omelette. Didnt even drink half my coffee and she asked if I wanted it topped off, said sure. Then found I was charged another $1.50. You're better off driving 30 minutes to Better B Cafe in New Town trust me this business is a rude scam with poor quality food and service dont waste your time. My friend and I were in town and stopped here for lunch. It has that nostalgic diner feel. When you first go in, you think the restaurant is just in the front. When I went to the restroom I noticed there were more tables in the back. They have an extensive menu, breakfast isn't served all day though. I ordered the patty melt with chips but a lot sounded great. Prices were good. It's always fun trying small town restaurants. Service was decent enough, everything was clean, if I came back to town, I'd stop back. read more

Shabby is the only way to describe this hole. The service was horrible the food was garbage and I have eaten in third world ghetto bodegas that were cleaner. Start out with having to sit at a dirty table,no big deal, but when the waitress cleared the table she wiped everything into my and my crews lap. I enjoyed the used toothpick. Move on to the special, which they were out of. Once again no big deal right. No special was actually no special for non locals. These were the high points it went down hill from there. This is the ONLY decent place in Stanley to eat. Their burgers are your best bet. Never had their breakfast. Mushroom Swiss burger is delicious. But my husband did get a French dip that was absolutely disgusting had no flavor, not even good meat. It was dried out and hard. A ju sauce to salty and cold. Fries are frozen from a bag.
