Office was pretty organized and I didnt have to wait too long. The doctor explained things in a way that made sense and didn't rush through the visit. I have had chest pain for weeks and this group of "health care professionals" hasn't done enough to make me better. Sure they asked me to get some tests from a lab....but no one from this office will call me to share the results. YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM AND ASK FOR THE RESULTS OF YOUR TESTS. It doesn't leave me, a new patient, with the sense that they have my best intentions. Now I'm off to find a new Doctor. Bummer! read more

Sent my mother to see Dr.Joyce who was suffering from eye discomfort/pain and stomach issues. She came back super depressed telling me that the secretary wouldn't even look up at her and make eye contact when she spoke to her. Upon seeing Dr.Joyce, he asked what was going on with her eye. She explained she felt pain and simply said he'd send her to a specialist without even examining it a bit. They didn't do any standard procedures like weighing her as before. He simply re-prescribed her medicine for stomach pain. That's it. I'm sorry, but when did some doctors stop caring and genuinely spending time with their patients? Never sending my mother to him again. Best doctor I recommend in the area is Dr. Masada in San Jose. He's worth every bit of the drive. read more

Dr. Joyce has a very good bedside manner.. He cares and takes time to listen. I like the office because it doesn't feel like a "doc I the box" The office staff is awesome and he has nurse practitioners for female concerns. So happy to have found his office. read more

Dr. Joyce has been my grandmothers dr for years and doesn't know her on first name bases or even try's to look on a chart for a name before entering a room . My aunt took my grandmother to him yesterday for stomach pains and a bad rash on her back and Dr. Joyce not only didn't know what she had but sent her to a dermatologist that couldn't see my grandmother until December . My aunt and my grandmother then headed to the ER where all the doctors and even the nurses knew she had a bad case of the SHINGLES . The exam was a joke and he spent all of about 5 minutes with me. Instead of introducing himself, shaking my hand, looking me in the eye when he spoke, he set up his laptop and had his face in his computer for 95% of the time during the pathetic 5 minutes he spent "examining" me. He ignored my comments and in a sense spoke down to me. Did not take my complaints of pain seriously. Never returned several phone calls to him and his office regarding an allergic reaction to a medication he prescribed. After a week of trying to reach him I instead I had to quit taking the medication and find a new doctor. Thank god I did because I am now getting the proper care and attention I should have been getting from this doctor. Sadly, I would not recommend this MD to anyone. read more

I switched my doctors due to a change in my insurance. I needed a refill on my medication and decided to choose the doctor closest to me not really caring what type of quality of doctor he was, because I knew that I would eventually switch to a doctor that I did trust and feel comfortable with ( takes some researching to do) I called my pharmacy two weeks after seeing Dr. Joyce and they never received anything. I called the doctor's office and Dr. Joyce failed to write down I needed a refill!! The only reason I went to see him!!! Dr. Joyce didn't ask me any questions regarding my condition. He spend a total of 45 seconds with me. Took a half of day off work for that. Clinic also looks old and staff is very dry. It feels very uncomfortable being in the waiting room or anywhere in that office. Hopefully I wont need to go back to this doctor anytime soon. read more

Love Noni, she's the best! Very friendly and helpful with her advice. Saw the doc once in her absence, and he was okay. He misdiagnosed my minor allergic reaction as an infection, but was quick to get me in again to fix the issue once he was aware of it continuing. They were able to give me a quick shot of cortisone during my lunch break, and I didn't even have to miss work!! read more

Just my kind of doctor. Dr Joyce has been my doc for a few years. He's the right kind of doctor for me, not too quick to prescribe things but always willing to listen. Some doctors want to send you out for tests etc. etc. by Dr Joyce listens to your thoughts and generally takes it easy. Not necessarily the friendliest man and perhaps his style is not for everyone but I like it. read more

Excellent! Went here for the first time today and must say that the staff are friendly, funny, relaxed and great. Veronica and Olivia brightened my day! The Doctor is also very patient and I really felt he listened to my situation and made every effort to come up with the best plan of action. I have been a patient with Dr. Brian Joyce since i was about 18 years old. He is a Doctor that listens to you and understands the problem, and is quick to think of a great solution. He doesn't treat patients like a lab rat, this doctor is quick to find the problem to what ever it is. Noni Weidemann is another Doctor that practices medicine with Dr. Joyce, they practice together and both can be seen for appointments. Noni is another wonderful doctor that listens to you like a mom would in any situation. The staff is the most friendly and wonderful nurses that definitely will make you comfortable, especially Olivia . I am 26 years old and i will be going here until they retire or I'm 6 ft under....lol read more

I am a male in my 40's. I work in healthcare; therefore, I work with and around many physicians and have done so for several years; but none quite like this. I recently chose Dr Joyce as my PCP from a list of 'preferred providers' from my insurance company. I scheduled an appointment with Dr Joyce through his receptionist. This initial step was easy enough, but that's when things took a turn-for-the-worse. Upon my arrival to the office, I paid my co-pay. When I requested a receipt, I was told I would need to call the corporate office because the receptionist had 'closed out her drawer for the day'. No problem, Right? OK, so I continued with my appointment. I saw the Doctor, briefly, (since I had received a phone call from his staff asking if I could come in earlier for my appoinment because the Dr had some other obligations to attend that afternoon). I asked to have some blood work done since this was my annual check-up. I was told to go to LabCorp for my blood to be collected and the office would call me to schedule a follow-up appointment with the doctor to discuss the results. (This NEVER happened BTW, more on that later). I was given a list of LabCorp locations in the area, some of which had relocated their offices causing me to spend wasted time trying to find these places; despite using GPS since I am new to the area. I ultimately found a LabCorp office to have my blood drawn the following day. I waited, and waited, and waited, for Dr Joyce's staff to call me and reschule a follow-up appointment to discuss my annual check-up lab results; this never happened. I finally called the office to check if they had received my results and got this response from the voice on the phone, "Yes, they are in. Would you like a copy?" A copy! What happened to reciving a phone calll and a follow-up appointment?!? I guess they expected me to interpret my results and then go to Mexico or Canada to purchase my meds if I deemed it necessary to continue taking them since I've neither discussed them with 'my' physician nor been offered a prescrition to refill my cholesterol meds that I've been taking for the last few years. I then again dismissed my mental questioning of the office staff's competence and against my better judgement, requested another appiontment with 'The Doctor'. The apointment day came and I went to see the doctor. I arrived approx 20 minutes early and was ultimately 'called back' to start the check-in process approx 15 minutes late. This would be acceptable under normal circumstances, but I was the first patient of the day with no one else in the waiting room when I arrived. After being weighed and having my vital signs taken, I waited some more! Finally the doctor came in to discuss my lab reults. I tried discussing my ordeal thus far with him and he replied, "Yes, we get very busy here." Really?!? That's why I waited 2 weeks to receive a phone call for simple blood work results and then 25 minutes after a scheduled appointment (in an empty waiting room no-less) to be seen by 'The Doctor'! He then told me, "If you are unhappy with your service, you can go see someone else. I am very busy and don't have time for this." With that, he dismissed himself from the exam room and sent his medical tech in to assist me and function as a messenger. WOW!!! Please believe, this will be the last time I make an appointment at this office!!! The worst medical staff and care that I have ever received. Doctor takes 2 or 3 days to return calls although I placed many calls to him. When I had a problem that needed quick but not emergency reply, I was told to go to the hospital because the doctor was not available. Then, doctor goes on vacation without notifying his patients and without leaving any other physician on call to handle his existing patients. Prescriptions are not filled on time and there are several days where no medication is available. I asked the office person if the doctor was deliberately ignoring me or if she was failing to give him my messages. She became rather irate. Informing me that no one was available. Any calls made to the office leave you on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes - after which time I usually hang up and call back again. Not just on occasion - - - but every single time. I have been to the office and asked to see the doctor only to be told he is not there. And then I watched him walk from one waiting room to another. So it was all a lie. The only caring, competent person in this office was Noni and she is no longer there. If you want a doctor that is truly concerned about your health and well being definitely do not go to this one. read more
