They are also aware of other dogs needs if they are anxious by moving others to rooms to provide space and relief. Exams are much cheaper than most places, but make up with fecal testing which equates to most veterinary clinics total visit. The shot pricing is about what you'd expect overall. Easy to get to, small lot in the back with one way in--be aware. Cash, debit, credit, check, and careone accepted. I'd recommend this location since they are also open on Sunday with walk ins welcome.

Instead of saying you'll do something for a dog and can't, stop saying you will and end up not doing services for dogs. I called twice, was told they can help w my dog. came yesterday for appt and my dog was prescribed meds and had to come back today for the actual procedure. Well those medications wore off because there are too many people before our scheduled appointment. Don't waste your time here and they wanted me to wait probably another hour because the people me before me have been waiting an hour. My appointment was 2.5 hours after opening, why are there still 4 people waiting before me. Stop overbooking. Terrible service and rude receptionists

I'm willing to give Dr. Goldsmith some leeway for the fact that I showed up on a day when a staff member unexpectedly called out, and they were slammed and extremely behind as a result. Even with that, however, there were a number of inexcusable problems with my visit (and even he admitted that when I spoke to him on the phone later that evening). The biggest concern I had was the fact that they did an extreme nail-trimming on my dog's claws that went quite far back into the quick. They applied coagulating powder at the office, but her nails bled through the styptic and we were left with a gory nightmare in her car carrier, the lobby of our building, our apartment foyer, our bathroom floor... I was really surprised that they didn't bandage her foot at all given how much they removed. We also had issues with proper respect and communication at all levels of the clinic. The front desk phone operators are warm and pleasant, but the vet tech was aggressively rude with my husband and his coworkers and acted like I didn't exist. I had to leave for a doctor appointment before they were done with the dog, and Dr. Goldsmith claimed that the reason the clinic didn't inform me that my dog was ready for pickup was that he'd heard me say that I was going to call when I was done. That doesn't make any sense to me. Why wouldn't I just check my voicemails, even if I was going for a long appointment? He also made some very disrespectful assumptions about me over my hesitance to give oral antibiotics to my very old dog with a very sensitive tummy. In the end, when I asked Dr. Goldsmith how he was going to make this right, he allowed the question to hang in empty space with no reply. If he'd knocked literally anything off my bill for my trouble, I might have considered coming back, but he clearly is interested in the money he can get for the work he's already done, and not in building a relationship with a new customer. One extra star, because at least my dog's still alive.

My boy Zuko was only 11 months old when I brought him in for profuse vomiting. I called on a Tuesday and was told to give him half of a Peptid AC and bring him to emergency if his vomiting persisted, which it did not until the morning of our scheduled appointment. When I brought him at 11 am on Thursday, Dr. Jan noted his abdomen was inflamed and suggested an x-ray and sedation (to calm him) without providing any information on the possible risks of sedation. I must also add that she and her technician took zero measure of calming him down and handled him quite roughly. Zuko was an endlessly sweet boy and I just assumed he was afraid of the vet, which I also thought was normal for animals being a first time pet owner. I was then simply given a consent form, again, without communication of possible side effects of sedation. Trusting her, I signed it. I now understand that was a terrible mistake. She had me leave him at the facility for a few hours and I was to pick him up later. She then called me at 3:15 and informed me that "something went wrong" and that Zuko had died. She gave him the sedation and his heart stopped. She also failed to give him adrenaline of any kind until his blood was no longer circulating. My partner and I arrived to the facility immediately upon hearing the news and Dr. Jan was distraught, stating that death by sedation is very rare and never happens. Zuko never even received an x-ray for the original cause of the visit. I am left with no answers as to how he passed as she was completely in shock as well and could give us little professional insight. She told us she did not know. There was no suggestion or offer of an autopsy of any kind. When we were viewing his body, she came into the room with memorial papers and had to run back to "another sick cat." It's possible Zuko was given the wrong medication or too much of the sedative, but when we called to ask for a statement to provide our family with more closure and clarity, she provided us with an illegible photocopy of his medical records. When we went to pick up his ashes, she wasn't at the office as it was her day off. I'll note that she knew that we were coming to get his ashes that day and that day the office was only open for 3 hours. I had planned to ask more questions, but she was treating it like it was any other day for her. Meanwhile, our lives were ruined. At that point I decided to report her to the NJ veterinary board because I was tired of chasing her around for answers. That process takes from 6 months to a year or longer. I am left with no choice but to write this review. We are devastated by the loss of Zuko, our 11 month old kitten, whose life was cut short. Dr Jan failed to act in a timely manner to treat him. Maybe I should have brought him to emergency, but his vomiting had stopped for a period. Regardless, I will never know because we were given no explanation. And the fact that she couldn't be bothered to be present for our arrival to pick up his ashes to answer any more questions we had (under the circumstances) was even more heartbreaking. I'm writing this review to reach anyone that it may concern and let them know Dr. Jan Rottenberg cannot be trusted to provide adequate care and failed to perform her due diligence after the fact.

The vet assistance is nice but definitely provided me information that contradicts with the doctor's statement so make sure you at the doctor the questions instead. They have great business hours which works well for busy parents and there is a parking lot on the premise. The mobile app is great and set reminders for the next appointment and what vaccinations are due. The pricing is definitely high which is why I'm knocking off one star. There's always an exam fee $77 no matter what for each visit plus any vaccinations and procedures fee. They do have wellness plan so do inquire. They also work with several pet insurance.

She was kept overnight on oxygen only. No surgery, no needles, no x-rays, barely even a look. Next day they would call and say she's doing better, then not, then doing better, then not. Ultimately the kitten dies. We paid them upwards of $600+ in cash. Now 6 years later I get a notice that they levied my bank for over $3000!!! Which is so beyond excessive!! I didn't even know there was a balance! They're trying to STEAL everything from me. They recently stole $787 more from my bank account putting me I to the negative. So with that they've now received $1387 from me for basically doing NOTHING including all this false hope for this kitten that wasn't even ours. Tried to do a good thing and these 'caring' vets basically ruined my life over it. Thanks guys, much appreciated!
