This summer I decided to forgo a holiday in foreign lands for a few nights in that classic Victorian summer sea-side resort, Brighton. However upon my first nights sleep I found myself transported to El Azizia, Libya, circa 1922- for this was where the hottest temperature on Earth ever was recorded, a balmy 58 Degrees Celcius, and that, friends, is an understatement of just how bleeding warm this hostel's rooms are. Perhaps the above is an elongated exaggeration, but for Britain in June (average temp 16 C) I don't expect to be so hot it is seriously difficult to sleep.
Further to this, staff are rude, inattentive and lazy. Breakfast is poor, and the showers dirty. The experience was highly un-enjoyable and made me almost (*almost*) wish I'd not come at all.
Be warned, children. STAY AWAY. read more
