So, on our trip to Versailles, we came here to buy our foie gras bagel to bring on our train ride. The people here were quite nice and quick to take our order. Even better, Yelp check in gave us a free Berry Company drink! The store/ eatery is rather spacious given the area, feels very open and is quite clean. They have plenty of food options, but of course as I was on a foie gras binge, I needed to have a foie gras bagel. The bagel itself was pretty good! Great fresh bagel with fresh spinach / veggies in our bagel with a pretty hefty spread of foie gras and jam. The only problem was that our foie gras and jam wasn't evenly spread out on the bagel, so we had to work on spreading the goods on our bagel before we could eat it. Otherwise, great bagel! I was excited to come back on our last day here to come get a bagel, but they were sadly closed!

Additional 40 cent charge for a roll of bread. Easy! If you are feeling like a healthy lunch, go for the salad with a light dressing topped with veggies, and maybe some salmon. On the other end of the spectrum, where I frequently end up, I get the bowtie pasta, together with sausage, chicken, blocks of emmental cheese (a french favorite it seems) and the avocado, topped with the thai sauce. It keeps me full for the rest of the day and late into the evening. This might come in handy for an ex-pat trying to get used to the late dinners that are commonplace in Paris. Here is a tip to avoid repeated disappointment: you want to come before 1:00 to avoid long lineups and the very real possibility that the avocados have run out. With the roll of bread, it all comes to 9.60 euro. Sadly this is 60 cents more than my lunch credit cheques so I always have to be bring some extra change, but it is worthwhile.

The service is fast thanks to a young, dynamic and friendly team. I love being able to have a different salad every day. And portions are generous (even for my male colleagues), you are definitely not hungry during the afternoon. Desserts are lovely and home made ! Price is not hight (9.20€ for a salad with 4 ingredients and 1 sauce) and it is known from the beginning (all ingredients are at the same price !). A good point is that you can pre-order your salad in advance and pick it up directly at the cash desk, it avoids queuing :)
