The seafood is indeed fresh and cooked well, but that's the only redeeming quality. Their set menus come with a small number of dishes and for the same price at comparable Chinese restaurants, you could get the same weight of king crab/lobster and several more dishes included in the set meal. As always, the steak comes out shortly after the order is made, way before our seafood is even taken out of the tank and showed to us. And the steak is always blue, hard seared on the outside and basically still moo-ing in the middle. Our king crab was not lively at all and they also added a supposed 1.5 lbs to our king crab and it certainly didn't look like it. The fries in the typhoon style lobster were cold, which is always a problem here. Service is absent and inattentive. Nobody changed our plates until we were nearly done eating. Overall, it's a popular place as the pioneer of the lobster and crab towers and perhaps worth trying one time for its popularity, but there are much better quality options in the GTA with better execution, value and service.

There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037

I can confidently say that Josos is an absolute gem! From start to finish, my experience at was nothing short of exceptional. I first have to mention that the staff did an incredible job with my very specific request which was to be seated at a certain table. Now onto the food - Josos serves up some of the most fantastic seafood dishes I have ever tasted. The fish, which was only seasoned with salt, pepper, lemon, and olive oil, was so fresh and flavorful that it melted in my mouth with every bite. The calamari was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Don't even get me started on the seafood pasta! The combination of fresh clams, shrimp, and mussels in a light sauce was simply divine. Beyond the food, the ambiance of was equally impressive. The cozy yet elegant decor sets the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The friendly and attentive staff made me feel right at home, and their recommendations for dishes and wine pairings were spot on. All in all, I can confidently say that Josos offers some of the best seafood available in Toronto. If you're a seafood lover, you simply cannot miss out on this dining experience. I can say this place is just for adults only. If you're planning to visit this place for dinner, don't dare or bring your kids here, leave them on your home. There are some displays which is not suitable for the kids to see. I really love going here together with friends or co-workmates to have a good dinner with this place. Food is always great, very tasty and lots of flavors. Servers were very polite and attentive to our every needs. My only concern is the place, there are some parts that are so messy to look because of some decors and some displays they put in it. It was horrible looking. Overall, a good experience though. 3 stars for the food and service. read more

Joso's Restaurant in Toronto exceeded expectations during my recent visit. The fresh fish, grilled octopus, and Alla Leonardo were all delightful showcasing the quality of the ingredients ( you get to pick from their daily selection of fresh seafood) and the kitchen's expertise. The first dish we tried was the Calamari ("LIGHTLY DUSTED AND FLASH FRIED SQUID. The buttery biscuits were epic and delicious, and the poutine was super rich and decadent.
