We took her card and ended up calling her about a month later when we were more interested in selling our home and finding our forever home. She met with us, asked lots of questions about our goals and realistic expectations. We decided again, we weren't quite ready and let her know we would reach out when we were. Again, not pushy with us and respected our decision. Fast forward another 6 months and we decided we were really ready. We met several other realtors within that 6 months but decided we liked Angelina and her team and called her back. We sold and bought our dream home within a month. Angelina was amazing every step of the way. She responded quickly to all of our calls/texts. Communicated all updates in a timely manner. She ended up getting us over $100k more than our asking price, which was amazing! We went back and forth with her about our budget for our dream home and never showed any frustration with our constant changes. When we were in escrow on the new home, we had an issue with our inspector not wanting to go in the crawl space because he "thought" we had critters and refused to come back until we were able to show that we didn't. Angelina, just as frustrated as we were, brought her own traps and went into the crawl space on her own and set the traps the inspector requested. She knew what needed to happen and got the job done, which I truly respected. She doesn't talk your ear off, she is an active listener and great communicator. What I think I liked the most was she never came across as someone she isn't. I've met a lot of realtors and a lot seem to try to show off their accomplishments and act flashy and brag. That doesn't impress me and really, it makes me uncomfortable. I want someone who is going to understand my wants and needs and help me achieve that without having to brag about what she's done.     Let me start off by saying, me and my wife hand picked Joel based off of his amazing Yelp reviews,…read moremaybe that was our mistake. We reached out to him with a few places that we wanted to see. He got back to us in a timely manner and told us there were no showings yet for some of the homes. We sent him some more that we wanted to see, and Sunday was our first time meeting him in person. We met him at a new construction build, and me and my wife were pretty excited. Yes, we were three minutes late, we can take responsibility for that. We got out the car and approached Joel, who was waiting by the front. Mind you this is our first time meeting, and he never formally introduced himself. He said our names to make sure it was us, but that was it. There was no "Hi, nice to meet you," or "Hi, how are you, I'm Joel." It seemed as if he didn't care who we were and that we were going to be his clients. We never had a formal sit down to discuss the process, what we were looking for, or asked if we had any questions. We never even got a business card from him, but he was sure quick to leave them at every place we saw. Once we started viewing the homes, me and my spouse were talking amongst ourselves about the things we liked and didn't like. We aren't picky but we would like a few things. He never asked what we wanted or did we like any of the properties. Once we found one that property that he suggested, he didn't even ask how we liked it. He just told us the next step is to put our names on the list and fill out the required paperwork. He definitely wasn't big on small talk at all. It seemed as if he just wanted to get rid of us, and he had other places to be. He didn't even TRY to get to know us personally. If you can't build rapport with your clients, why should the clients trust you enough to buy a home with you? First impressions are everything and this first impression sucked. While we were looking at one property that we really liked, the sales rep was in the office with another client after we came back. Joel told us we could go see the other model while we waited. We came back and he was having a long conversation with another realtor there. He saw us and continued on with his conversation. He never asked us how we liked that one or what we thought. Just kept talking away and never said a word to us. He talked to this guy more than he talked to us! At the end of this visit, Joel said the next step is to fill out the paperwork to get on the list with the builder and then he said goodbye. Excuse me but how did YOU know we really even liked the place? Don't think you're about to get a pay out for 5 minutes of work. If we are going to have to know you for the next 6 months while waiting for the home to be built, you better treat us like you give a crap about us. Let me tell you, Joel suggested ONE property to us. He never sent a list of other available listings or did any of the leg work. We found the places and all he did was meet us there. We didn't have any appointments or anything. The people in the sales offices spoke to us more than he did. We don't need a "communicator," we can talk to people ourselves. I even waited to tour places, so that Joel could receive the commission, because a realtor needed to be present on the first visit. He didn't talk about any of the properties or what was included. I'll say this, there's many real estate agents in the area, we definitely don't need you if you don't care. This was going to be a for sure sale using the VA loan, but someone else will meet our needs. We are also NOT first time home owners, so we do know what to expect when it comes to a realtor and what good customer service is. Would not recommend him, unless you're searching for your second million dollar home in the Inland Empire. He just wants the easy money and does not care about the client. My plan was to drive to LA each time a promising listing appeared on Zillow. I needed an agent who was patient, flexible, understood that I wasn't going to settle for just any house that didn't match my needs, and let me primarily drive the search, while also sending me listings that fit. I had to reject one agent who wasn't interested in my approach. Enter Javier and Ana! I was so lucky to find them here on Yelp. They let me drive the search and only contacted me when a listing came up that matched my criteria. Often, they contacted me about one I was already interested in, having seen it appear that day on Zillow. This shows that they really listened to me. They never tried to show me houses that didn't fit, just to rush the process. I went to LA a couple of times and visited houses that looked good online but, for one reason or another, I didn't like the houses when seeing them in person. It only took about three months for us to find a very, very good match which checked all my boxes. I drove to LA, visited it, and made an offer that day. Javier got my offer accepted against two competing offers. While in escrow, he kept a sharp eye on the details, informing me along the way. He was consistently accessible whenever I had questions. Any R.E. transaction has some surprises and some stress, and so did this one. Javier and Ana took it all in stride, explained my options, and always put my interests first. They have an extensive understanding of the market. Despite the house being a rare find, they were able to negotiate a significant price reduction to cover a portion of the repairs that my buyer's inspector had identified. We closed escrow, and happily, the house is now mine. They truly put my interests first from the beginning of the search process to close of escrow. They are both wise, patient, kind, decent, soft-spoken, trustworthy, customer-centric people. I recommend the wonderful team of Javier and Ana highly.

It was so competitive, that multiple loan officers and Contractors could not believe the purchase price Javier negotiated for us. Highly, highly, recommend. Yelp Unabridged Version: Oof, did I eat my words. 2020 was a difficult year for buyers, but 2023 has been even more complicated. With our reckoning with high mortgage rates, historically low inventory, and inflation, we were nervous about purchasing a property in 2023. Javier and Ana were phenomenal in exercising patience, round the clock support, sharing real estate insight, assertive negotiating, and significant intervention in ensuring all of the pieces: loan, insurance, escrow, etc were aligned so we would lock in the property. If they'll have us, we will continue to partner with them for all our real estate endeavors for the rest of our lives. This great property didn't come easy, as Javier, not the Seller's Agent, caught an error in their documents that caused a 3 month delay of court approvals that the Seller needed to resolve. Javier gave us timely feedback and insight, which ultimately led us to getting a phenomenal property for an even better price. Truly, if you want the best agents, work with Javier and Ana.

Maureen Haney handed me a quarter-inch thick property dossier with a comprehensive analysis of my property--including the sale history of my place, and nearby sales of similar properties. This file also contained an overview of Ms. Haney's expertise and experience. It was obvious she had already spent hours doing her homework. As we walked through my condo, cluttered high with boxes and chaos, her expertise became even more apparent. She told us what we needed to do to get the best price, and what we didn't really need to worry about. Even though we weren't going to list for a few more months, it was apparent that Maureen Haney was going to be hard to beat. (She'd been referred to me by a reputable local mortgage broker.) From the moment we signed the contract, she and her team took control of the process and we always felt that we were in good hands. Maureen suggested a painter, a carpet guy, a gardener, and a handyman. All of them were excellent and provided their work at fair prices. This saved me dozens of hours of research shopping for these services. The fact that I was working with Maureen made orchestrating all these people easy. She told them when we needed them, and on that day, in they came. We also enjoyed our interactions with the escrow company Maureen uses. They made a real effort to be super friendly and to keep us updated on the paperwork requirements. I was out of state at this time, but I never was left in the dark as to any detail. I really appreciated Maureen's communication efforts. We exchanged hundreds of texts during the entire process. She would typically reply within minutes to any of my numerous inquiries. The process didn't last that long since our place sold in five days at $7,000 above asking price with a cash offer and a 15-day escrow. Escrow delivered a few surprises during the inspection, but Maureen fielded these issues with aplomb and efficiency. We closed without a hitch.
