It has also saved me money compared to ordering from Postmates and DoorDash. And it makes planning for the week for my family so much easier, without sacrificing healthy choices and great tasting food.

Special shoutout for how diverse the menu is, too. This Asian girl was honestly a little skeptical about a white guy making tsukune and cumin lamb, but Chef Chris is legit. :) This is the next best thing after having your own personal chef. It's leagues better than the near daily DoorDash ordering we did before -- better flavor, healthier, and actually more economical, too. Bonus: everything is packaged beautifully, pricing is transparent (by protein weight), Chef Chris is super responsive and clearly cares about his customers...I could go on and on. The Mediterranea Salad was simple yet satisfying, with fresh romaine lettuce tossed with black olives, red onion, cucumber and grape tomatoes. It was topped with feta cheese and finished with drizzles of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The Rigatoni Piccanti came in a creamy sauce, slightly spicy sauce. We added meatballs, which gave the pasta an extra savory, meaty flavor. The Pasta el Pesto con Pollo was my favorite. I love their housemade pesto sauce which paired well with the semi-dried tomato and grilled chicken. This was a hearty and flavorful pasta dish. Overall, I really enjoyed lunch here. Everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying, and it was great spot to get lunch.

She is originally from Thailand but has found her way into the Japanese flavors. She does a Japanese-Thai fusion. However, I think what we got we purely Japanese inspired. He ordered it all online, but somehow the date for pick-up wound up being three weeks out and he didn't notice until later. I was going out of town and would be back by the ready date, so we left it at that. You pay for your order at the time of placing the order, not when you pick it up. For $45, the Bara Chirashi Box includes: Dry-Aged Boston Bluefin Tuna (Maguro) Dry-Aged Tasmanian Sea Trout (Umi Masu) Japanese Yellowtail (Hamachi) Japanese Black Snapper (Tai) Japanese Sweet Shredded Omelet (Kinshi Tamago) Aged Vinegar Sushi Rice Persian Cucumber Assorted Japanese Pickles -- Takuan, Gari & Hasu Japanese Rice Seasoning (Furikake) Fresh Wasabi Kizami Wasabi (Pickled Wasabi) House-Blended Soy Sauce Hubby added Hokkaido Uni ($25), Hokkaido Snow Crab ($20), & Hokkaido Scallop ($12). They were as delicious as can be! Definitely a feast for the eyes and tongue! I wonder if the Hokkaido Snow Crab add-on includes just one or two per order? I received just one, but saw a picture of 2 in someone else's picture and the website doesn't specify the quantity. I didn't get the Soy Sauce nor fresh wasabi, I guess they were overlooked due to the extras hubby added to the box. As for the box, it was so very chock full of goodies! It was too much for me in one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed it when I first ate it, but when I finished the rest off at night, it wasn't quite as good. It is best eaten straight away when it is fresh and incredibly delicious! The Japanese Egg Sando for $12 was a little pricy. It was good & hubby would eat it again. The order was wrapped in a decorative furoshiki cloth. So beautiful! Kinkan Market is a small space mainly for picking up orders. They do sell some interesting Japanese Pantry items to enhance your cooking at home. There is no seating inside. The parking lot serves all the other businesses in the plaza and the spaces are tight. I would order from Kinkan again, but less of it so I'd enjoy it all fresh! No saving some for later!

Every once in a while I purchase one of their ready made dinners like their wonderful stuffed chicken breasts or their crabcakes or Edamame potstickers, just in case I run out of ideas for my own cooking. Well tonight that really paid off. My son told me with one hour to spare that he was going to bring his new girlfriend home for dinner. He's 18 and a senior in high school and this was going to be a big deal. Thank goodness I had some of the Specific Pacific Shrimp Scampi in the freezer ready to gor. I quickly boiled a box of angel hair pasta, sautéed that incredible scampi and threw a simple salad together and within 30 minutes had an exquisite meal waiting for them when they arrived. The girlfriend raved about the scampi and said she couldn't wait to come back to try more of my cooking. Thank you Specific Pacific, you saved the day. Winner winner scampi dinner! Can't recommend this wonderful company highly enough. Highest quality meats, excellent premade fappetizers, dinners and desserts and super friendly service. You can't go wrong by ordering from Specific Pacific. Update: just had another dinner party, this time planned. Decided to serve Surf and Turf with my favorite Wagyu Steak and the new-to-the-collection, Ginger Salmon. Wow. I mean WOW! My friends were blown away at the Salmon glaze and tenderness. The Wagyu Steak (grass fed from Australia) is always a guaranteed win. Together, they are unbeatable. You must try! PS I baked the salmon for 20 min at 400 and turned the broiler on for the last 5 min (this is different than the box directions) - and t'was perfect.

My top 3 are the ahi tuna, king salmon and coconut-crusted tilapia. I buy these over and over and have always loved the quality and the convenience of having a full freezer. Mark always delivers quickly and reliably, shortly after I place my orders. The prices aren't cheap, but they're worth it!
