There is a separate waiting area with plenty of chairs, and walk-ins are welcome (of course customers who made reservations get first service). They have five barber's chairs and they were all full, but the three of us who didn't have appointments got in, I would estimate, in around 20 minutes. From my observation the barbers all have mad skills. The gentleman who cut my hair, well, he was like Edward Scissorhands. I've never seen anyone with the skills and speed he displayed cutting my hair, with little snippets of hair flying all around us. It was truly amazing. None of that matters if I didn't like my cut, but it's in the top 2 or 3 I've ever had. It'd probably be #1, but I'm giving points for degree of difficulty to earlier cuts when I had a lot more hair, and it was often pretty long. So bottom line is Rocky's will be my new barber shop, hopefully for a long time.

They give a killer male haircut that I've sported at special events or during your average week. The majority of their business appears to be adult males but I've seen plenty of young children enjoying a haircut at Rocky's. I would recommend!

I'm from Central CT and have been looking for a good shop since I work in the Bridgeport area now…read more I've been with my barber since I was a kid so finding someone trustworthy was important to my decision. I was so reluctant to choose this shop and will continue to give them my business. The shop was both clean and welcoming; I was thoroughly impressed with the service and quality of the haircut! Both Richard and Victor went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, continuously asked for my feedback, all while working efficiently. If you're looking for a new barber in this area or are from out of town, these guys will not disappoint.

Aaaaaaaah. A fine barbershop in the Bridgeport area…read more This was a true experience from booking to chair. Most men are committed to their barbers; as am I. However we're from NYC and the 2 hr. drive is daunting. So on my quest for a new barber, I found VIP and I will tell you, it is a true VIP experience. * Booking: I booked on the acuity scheduling site, it was quick and straightforward. After my appointment I learned there is an app where you can book and earn rewards. I received my first stamp at my first visit *Location: The shop is in a tiny strip mall with ample parking and other neighboring small business **The Feel*: Upscale and Welcoming...The shop is well put together, the owner thought through every stage of the customer experience and if you are someone who values quality and experience you will appreciate this shop. I cannot say enough for the feel in this one post. There were positive vibes all around, engaging conversation...one of the barbers even recommended a local pizza shop that just opened in downtown bpt. *The Cut: Of course, every barber is different however, I have confidence that whoever's chair you're in you will leave satisfied. I asked for a tape up and small design with Victor and I am satisfied. To note, all the barbers seem to be skilled; they will ask what you're looking for and even details. I heard one barber ask a guy if he wanted a round or square back, Vic asked me if I wanted pointed side burns. He even helped me choose design ideas. Good to Note: *Cash Only (nearby laundry has an ATM) *DL the app in the app store (VIP Barbershop LLC) *Choose any Barber (they all seem skilled) *Walk-Ins Welcome I appreciate small businesses that foster quality in the communities they serve and love to see them grow. Thanks VIP for the awesome experience!

That being said, I searched through Google and Yelp and the ratings at Barber on Main was great and it is very close to me. I did see it was by appointments only and was hoping he was taking new customers. I was very upfront and transparent that I was hoping to get an appointment. To my delight, Ron was accommodating and gave me some dates that he had open. I booked it quickly. The day of my appointment, he opened the door and apologized that he only does by appointments only and as I was about to introduce myself, he recognized my voice and was SUPER friendly and asked me to come in while he was finishing up with a customer. Mind you I was early. The place is VERY clean; awesome decor if you like that vintage "rat pack" vibe; and the energy that Ron exuded was just great. I felt I found a new Barber and I was not disappointed. He is a great conversationalist and has interesting life experiences which kept me entertained. He is also very professional as he was feeling my hair and asking me what I was looking for style wise. He gave me suggestions of not going to short with my type of hair but will take it short as much he feels is the right length for me. My cut was great! My experience was great!
