When it was time to replace our laminate floors and the carpeting on our stairs, hallway, and…read morebedrooms, we compared options at Home Depot and several local carpet stores. A measuring technician came out, took all the dimensions, and directed us to the 1020 W. San Carlos location to review their full carpet selection. At the store, we explained what we were looking for, compared carpet features and pricing, and worked with Dominic--who was very accommodating. His total project cost was competitive with the other quotes we received. We also wanted new baseboards that would match our freshly painted walls and trim. Dominic arranged to have the primed (but unpainted) 16' wood baseboards delivered ahead of installation, giving us time to paint everything before the carpet went in. Tip Our new carpet and pad are very soft and plush--great underfoot, especially on the stairs. Because the new flooring sits higher than the original laminate, our bedroom doors needed to be trimmed by about half an inch. We cut the doors ourselves, but it's worth asking whether your installer can include that as part of the project. Pros * Dominic is a true carpeting professional--he anticipated our needs and offered thoughtful guidance throughout the process. * Both the wood and carpet installation teams did solid, quality work. Cons * Some door trim was scuffed as the installers maneuvered large carpet rolls through our narrow hallway and doorways, so a bit of repainting was needed afterward.

I got my living room and dining room carpet removed and replaced with vinyl laminate, the installer Ricardo was on time and really great. I had moved a lot of furniture outside, uncovered, and it started to rain, so Ricardo ran outside with a roll of plastic tarp and saved my furniture from water damage. This was above the call of duty! The floor looks great, it was a very good price, and the carpet we had installed to replace our old carpet on the stairs and upstairs landing is high quality, and again was installed by Jack with great care. Ricardo also put in new base boards, and everything looks great. The staff were excellent to deal with. Highest recommendation! Thanks again!

This is long overdue. We had our flooring and stairs project completed with Abbey Carpet in early…read moreAugust. Prior to that, there was a lot of back and forth on what we we wanted to install. David Rodriguez was patient with our choices and knowledgeable about their products. Moreover, and I hope I'm not setting the bar too high for your future clients, David, but he seemed always available and quickly responded to our texts during the entire project. This was also true when the job was done. I judge a business or service not on how easy the project was completed but, when challenges emerge or the outcome is less than perfect. Maybe we're just picky... David was quick to respond and address our concerns. This is true of the installation crew that David used. Julio Alvarado and his sons, Franklin and Kevin, worked together like a well-oiled machine and finished before expected. Franklin returned to our home in a timely manner to correct the imperfections that we pointed out. Would definitely do business with them again and recommend them to others.

I don't know of any other company in this field that has better service and communication than Abby Carpet. Robert is attentive and is very personable.
