Jose has done two patios with exposed aggregate for me. He does excellent work and is a good communicator. His prices are very reasonable compared to others and he left the job site spotless. I also referred him to a relative and she was very happy with his work. If you want it done right, don't hesitate to call Jose. read more

My wife and I purchased a home in Hayward recently and one of the biggest selling features was the big backyard. Unfortunately for us, the house had a small concrete patio with most of the backyard covered in cheap mulch. We knew from the day we bought the house that we wanted to remove some of the mulch and add concrete in the backyard. We found Jose's Concrete through Yelp and were impressed with his high rating and pictures of past jobs. We reached out to Jose and he personally came out to hear what we had in mind. Jose was very professional and provided us with a very reasonable quote. He was able to start the work within a couple of weeks which was fantastic news since we were eager to get it done. Jose was personally onsite every day that work was being performed and was super punctual. He listened to all our concerns and ideas and made all the necessary adjustments as the work was completed. My only suggestion for anyone having concrete work performed (by any contractor) is to consider how it impacts your irrigation system. Our landscaper recommended a larger opening around the irrigation system and Jose was able to accommodate and also install a PVC runner under the concrete to ensure our irrigation needs were met. My wife and I are so happy we chose Jose to complete the concrete work in our backyard. This company is an no brainer 5 out of 5 stars! read more

You don't need to search any further for your concrete needs. Jose's Concrete is a very professional concrete installer. He takes pride in his work and his prices are comparable to others. What I appreciate the most about Jose is that he doesn't outsource the job to others after he gets the bid. You know you're getting all his own expertise and experience at your property. Jose is very punctual and very communicative through text. At our initial meeting, he came to asses the job and gave his honest opinion about what complications there may be with current leveling of our existing concrete and landscaping. He is honest and doesn't dismiss your concerns. He spent a good hour talking to us about what he thought, but never pushed his opinions on us. He waited for our response for a week and a half since we told him we were waiting for other quotes. The job started about 2 weeks after our first meeting and we ended up getting about 1,200+ square feet of concrete poured into our back yard. He worked diligently and finished the job on time. Everything is exactly how we wanted and he patiently worked with us when we wanted to discuss some concerns of our current irrigation. He is extremely knowledgeable and you won't regret having him do your concrete. Concrete is one of those things that if it isn't done correctly, there isn't much you can do to remedy it without starting from scratch again, so you want to make sure it's done correctly the first time. You'll get the job done right with Jose! read more

We called Jose and a few other contractors for our backyard project. Jose offered the best service, flexibility in scheduling, and even though wasn't the lowest price, I felt I can trust him more. Needless to say, he did beautiful work! We started our backyard project last September, and 8 months later, we are almost done. The stamped concrete work is amazing! Thank you Jose! read more

We are very happy with our recent experience with Jose's Concrete and have no problem strongly endorsing them. We rebuilt our front walk-way, added new side-walks around the house, and a few other smaller things. We think Jose excelled in multiple areas: 1. Cost and payments - Very reasonable and competitive. Not the absolute lowest bid, but considering below benefits, well worth it. Gives contract in writing. Accepts checks in multiple stages of the project. No upfront payment and accepts final payment only after work is fully completed satisfactorily. 2. Communication - Very prompt, courteous, and patient. Fluent english communicator. 3. Punctuality - His team showed up promptly each day at 7 am wrapping things up by 3-4 pm. Started and finished the work on the days promised. No need to call or follow-up etc. No procrastination or finger pointing. 4. Workmanship - They did a very professional job. We have got multiple complements from our neighbors already. Left our place in pristine state. Also, made sure debris/paint etc are properly disposed off (did not just dump them in my garbage bin). 5. Work ethics - Very respectful to the client's requirements and wishes. Ready to accommodate small changes to the design. Gives excellent suggestions for design and aesthetics. Pose no nuisance to the neighbors as well (they do their work quietly and during approved times, did not block people's driveways etc). In all our experience was stress free and we are very happy with the final outcome. read more

I can't say enough great things about Jose's Concrete! I reached out to Jose and he responded extremely quickly. We scheduled a time for him to see my project the next morning and he showed right on time. He was very friendly, professional and experienced. We reviewed what I was looking to have done and he was so helpful in the planning process and offered great suggestions. Jose promptly sent me a quote and it was such a great value. I decided to make multiple changes along the way and he was more then happy to help. He kept me updated before the start date and every step of the way. His entire team was polite, professional and wonderful to work with. Once the project was complete Jose showed me around and explained anything I needed know. The finished project looks great and exceeded all of my expectations. I will definitely be recommending Jose's concrete to any who needs concrete work done and I will be using him for all of my future concrete needs. Also, everyone was Covid safe by wearing masks and maintaining a safe distance. read more

Jose came out to give me an estimate for 60' retaining wall so that a wooden side fence can be installed on top. After examining the property line, Jose noticed that my neighbor already have an existing retaining wall with a Chain link fence built on top. Jose suggested i save the money for the retaining wall and just fasten a fence cover over the wall existing chain link fence for privacy. Doing so, not only will i save money on the retaining wall, but also money for the wooden fence. Ill eventually take out the chainlink fence and install a redwood board on board with lattice. I still have a list of concrete projects ready for Jose and his crew. Hard to find a guy that is honest and doesnt try to upsell anything these days. Dont hesitate to call them. read more

Finding a contractor is a pain in the ass.... I called several concrete companies to be told my project was too small or the companies did not serve my area to not providing me a quote. Jose on the other hand was none of these. I would highly recommend Jose as he was very communicative and answered all my stupid questions I had. Very understanding and did an awesome job on my concrete I wanted. Would recommend.! If only he did contracting work, he would be my guy for my kitchen remodel. Thanks again Jose. read more

I was considering having my driveway paved for a couple of years and finally started looking for some quotes. After meeting with a couple of guys and getting some outlandish bids, I had almost decided to just leave it as it was. I decided to give Jose a call recently and he came out that day to give me an estimate. We walked the area, talked about colors and option, and later that evening he texted me with a bid. I accepted and we set a date. Jose only works on one job at a time so you know he'll finish your job on time. He has a very methodical, day by day plan and sticks to it. From the excavation to the framing and rebar, to the pouring itself, Jose was clean and professional. As a businessman myself, it's hard to find upfront and trustworthy guys. Jose is a great example of a humble and hardworking tradesman. My family and I love our new driveway and pathway. It's beautiful and natural looking thanks to Jose's artistic eye and artful concrete applications. I need more work done in the future and I will definitely be hiring Jose again. read more

Texted Jose yesterday and he was eager to come see the job. After I texted him photos of the area and my address I never heard back from him. I called to see if he wss on the way and he said my job was too small for his company. He has a $3,000.00 minimum. He also doesn't do jobs where they mix concrete on site, also. I asked him, ok besides that job what about the posts for the sail shades? Oh, we don't do that either, he said. He had all of this information the day before and never said the job was too small. I wish he would have let me know the day before instead of not responding, as I was expecting him after 9am today. Wasted my morning. Highly unprofessional. read more

I was considering having part of my backyard paved to install an in-ground basketball system. After meeting with a couple of contractors and getting some bids, I decided to go with Jose. He gave a very fair quote (not the highest and not the lowest). We walked the area, talked about options, and later that evening he texted me with a bid. I accepted and we set a date, subject to change based on weather. This was fine with me b/c his communication was excellent. Whenever I texted or called him, he responded very quickly. Once he started, he explained the plan, timing, etc. And he basically stuck to it. One day of digging, one day of prep, one day to lay the concrete. It was done methodically and professionally. Jose is a great example of a true professional. He's very ethical, honest and communicative. The backyard area is beautiful. If I need more work done in the future, I will definitely call Jose. We discovered Jose's concrete when searching through Yelp in June 2018. (Since January, we had 8 different companies come out and give us a ridiculous estimate or no estimate at all!) We sent a message and Jose contacted us within 24 hours. He came out quickly and gave us a fair estimate. We set up a start date and the work was completed in a timely manner. The work completely exceeded our expectations! Jose was also able to recommend other professionals to complete other work needed. Jose is professional, trustworthy, and honest. I will always contact Jose for future work and recommendations for other jobs at our home. read more

It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Jose's Concrete! His customer service is excellent and his work is very professional. The job involved extending my driveway, installing a new mailbox post, replacing a water main valve, and repairing sections of cracked brick pavers located in front of my home walkway. He's estimate is fair and reasonable and I was extremely happy with the quality of work that he and his crew performed. Jose is a person you can trust, a person you can depend on, and a person you want to do business with. _I highly recommend Jose's Concrete. read more

I had Jose come out to give me a bid. Said he would get back to me in the evening, never called back or returned my text.

I wanted to Give Jose's Concrete and his Crew a Great Review! Being a novice to the world of cement, Jose walked me thru all the specific's about cement. He pointed out very many things in framing the cement so that I could get the best possible results. Jose organized all his people and the Cement trucks, and even the Cement pump. It was like a symphony, when everyone went to work. There was no arguing, just like 6 guys all working together and doing a great job. I was, and still am really impressed with how well everything went. Yes he is not the cheapest, but do you really want the cheapest guy working on your property?? He quotes a fair price for a very customer oriented job. Whenever I need any type of cement work, Jose will be the one I call. read more

Definitely would recommend Jose for his concrete services. I shopped around and got 3 other bids. His bid was in the mid high price range. Considering the prices were all about $300-800 dollars off. I ended up going with him because he was a referral and he also gave really good recommendations for further work that would makes sense to do once I have more money. Lastly, about a week later, Jose also followed up with me to see how things were. Great service and definitely would come back in the near future. read more

Jose and his crew are extremely professional and efficient. They completed a job on my driveway in a short amount of time & charged a very reasonable price. More than that, Jose is a good person with integrity, and went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the job in every way. He actually ended up having to use more material, and even though I insisted on paying him extra, he did not want to accept. Jose and his team are also very friendly and personable. Prior to cementing a good portion of our backyard we shopped around and got three quotes. Jose's was the highest, not by too much though. We chose Jose for the following reasons: 1. He was referred to us by a family member 2. He was extremely communicative and responsive 3. His initial free estimate visit was mighty thorough, he was great with our 3 kids all in the mix and he asked us to consider a few extra things prior to making a decision- so that we were spending our money wisely on nice work for the long run and that we were informed and aware of all of our options regardless of who we chose to do the work. 4. When we told him the other bid prices, he didn't flinch or try to haggle. He straight up told us that those other bids were extremely good prices IF they were going to do all the quality work that they said the would, without hitting "unforeseen" work that they may charge for and also remaining on schedule. We didn't tell Jose that the other bids were from drills without licenses but have been in the business many years. We have seen Jose's work around Hayward and being that he is licensed with an official website and all, his price then seemed much cheaper and a no-Braine if we wanted to be sure work would be done promptly and properly from start to finish. Jose and crew gave me a start date for the following week due to inclement weather but while we had breaks in the rain, he was able to come over and do whatever work he could during those rain breaks. All said and done, and with rain delays, he was still able to get everything done in 1 week (a large backyard that needed trees uprooted, much old cement busted up and removed, leveling, etc. As you can always expect, we did run into unforeseen issues but Jose took care of them without hesitation or charge!!! The storm also blew a good portion of our fence down, Jose took care of the issue with a great temporary fix, added sleek design lines in our cement and customized and blended and leveled our outdoor sewage overflow into the design so it was all seemless. All this work, extra work, along with constant communication and entertaining my kids... Jose and crew were a great experience to some massive work that I figured I'd run into a few headaches with during the process. And at the end of it all, his original bid was what he had is pay, nothing more. Talk about professional service with a smile. read more
