    Non Surgical Nose Job
    Jennifer G.

Where do I start? We have all been there wanting to change something about ourselves but never taking the leap. I am so happy I had Dr. Michaels do my nose filler. It was a very subtle change but made all the difference for me. I had always wanted a more defined nose and thats exactly what I got. I still looked like myself but better!

I cannot recommend Dr. Kochuba enough! He is a true artist and a double board certified plastic…read moresurgeon who went above and beyond in every way. After having six children, I had significant abdominal muscle separation (diastasis recti) that left me feeling defeated even after working out consistently at the gym. Dr. Kochuba repaired it beautifully, along with addressing the capsular contracture in one of my breasts. The results are truly amazing. I look like a new person. My abdomen is flat and strong again, something I thought I'd never have again! I feel confident in ways I haven't in years. From the very first consultation to the most recent post op appointment, Dr. Kochuba provided expert care. He took the time to listen to all my concerns, answered questions, and made me feel at ease. His attention to detail and surgical skill are outstanding. Recovery was great compared to most experiences I read about and I credit this to Dr. Kochuba's excellent surgical skill. He truly cares about delivering the best possible outcome, both visually and physically, and it shows in the results. The entire team at Austen-Weston was fantastic as well. Simone was wonderful (and patient, as I had many questions!) during my consultation, Katrina made sure I was comfortable and prepared the morning of surgery, and Anastasia provided caring support during my overnight stay, which I highly recommend adding on if you can. Even the Anesthesiologist did a perfect job and I wasn't even nauseas when waking up after surgery, which has happened every other time I've been put under. Every single staff member was professional, kind, and attentive. If you are considering restorative surgery, especially anything involving the abdomen or breast revision, Dr. Kochuba is the surgeon you want. He exceeded all my expectations and I am forever grateful for the transformation he gave me. Highly, highly recommend!

So, let's start with the positive: around 2001, I had a procedure here and was very happy with…read moreeverything. Recently, I went back for a second procedure, but this time after donating a kidney. The pre-op was a mess, including: - The practice contacting my transplant surgeon for clearance, even after I asked them not to. (At this point, she has no obligation to me except for routine monitoring. Plus, I haven't seen her as a patient since I donated four months ago.) - My "patient advisor" telling me, inaccurately, that they are concerned about my "liver" function. I pointed out that my liver function is just fine. - My "patient advisor" telling me that my (bad) kidney numbers "keep going up, up, up." That's simply not accurate. - The "patient advisor" telling me that they would give me Celebrex post-op. My response: "Um, no. As I told you earlier, as a kidney donor, I cannot take NSAIDs." - My "patient advisor" falsely telling me, apropos a possible discount, "As I told you earlier...." Again, that simply didn't happen. - The practice ignoring my PCP's clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months. - The practice ignoring my nephrologist's verbal clearance for the procedure and, instead, saying they would delay for two months due to a minor blip in my kidney numbers. To be clear, they should have asked my nephrologist about a pre-op evaluation, not my surgeon. I'm pretty disappointed, as this was going to be my present to myself after kidney donation. To be clear: I appreciate their being careful. But when we are talking about my health, accuracy is key. And I am just not seeing it. Plus, while these inaccuracies may not be a big deal when individually considered, taken as a whole, they are deeply concerning. And I don't know how a patient can give informed consent when they are getting bad information about being given NSAIDs, etc. In fact, I don't know why you would give an NSAID to a patient post-surgery, but perhaps I'm missing something. I should also state, in fairness, that my patient advisor is very new, so that may be part of the issue. She also is not an RN, which is okay, but then she should have a high level of basic medical knowledge-like knowing that you cannot give kidney donors NSAIDs. I've asked for my deposit to be refunded and plan to go elsewhere. I'd love to recommend this practice, but I can't.

I myself had been researching the best plastic surgeon who specializes in noses for some time. After much research, we were really excited to see Dr. Naderi. His Reston facility is absolutely beautiful. Staff was extremely welcoming. The whole process from consultation, surgery and cast removal just this past week was seamless, positive and 5 stars 10x over. My daughter's nose is still so new and still has healing and settling to do but wow! Already so cute and everything she wanted. Dr. Naderi listened to her concerns and wants and balanced that with reasonable expectations based upon her anatomy. We are excited to continue to watch the healing process and know it will just keep getting better and better. The battling of DC/northern Va traffic from Baltimore is totaling worth it! Can't wait for my turn!

I got my breast implants here back in November 2008. Here are a few tips when picking a surgeon and…read morewhy I went with here. 1) Price/payment plans. I was recommended to another doctor at GW however was informed he took no payment plans. Now some might cry "low budget" however keep in mind surgery is upwards to $10K and I don't know about you, but I don't have that chilling in my bank account. Here they do accept payment plans that are contracted through CapitalOne medical and they also accept care credit. Kudos to them for thinking outside of the box. 2) Staff: When you get implants, you have to back a bazzillion times for check ups and 99% of the time you're meeting with the surgeon's nurse staff. The nurse staff here is awesome, kind, compassionate, all of the adjectives that describe what a good nurse should be. 3) Quality: While I do like my implants, I wish they looked more fake. I know, I'm a weird-o. My implants look natural. NO ONE can tell they're fake. If you want the porn star crazy look don't come here because Dr. Freedman will make them look natural. Overall I am happy with my experience here and would recommend Plastic Surgery Associates of Northern Virginia to anyone looking to get a little more on top.

I was you a month ago... thinking, contemplating, mulling it over... Well, STOP thinking about it…read moreand do it!!! I am soooooo happy I finally did! Last year, challenged by a friend, I changed my eating habits and began to lose weight... -100 pounds later and I am looking awesome... but, I was left with bat wings/granny arms. I kept talking about "having my arms done"... Finally I decided it was time - it's almost summer and I longed to be able to wear sleeveless dresses and shirts. I researched top plastic surgeons in my area and made three separate consultation appointments. I was so nervous at my consultation (hind sight 20/20, I had nothing to be nervous about). Dr. Freedman and his nurse Elizabeth are really down-to-earth, professional, and caring people. We talked about what I wanted, Dr. Freedman explained and showed me what my arms would look like, Elizabeth answered all the what-ifs and questions I had. I didn't feel rushed during my consultation. I left that consultation with a spring in my step, feeling uplifted - it was apparent that they knew what they were doing and did it well. After the three consultations with different plastic surgeons, I chose Dr. Freedman - and I am sooooo happy I did! The reason I chose Dr. Freedman over the other plastic surgeons is because he was confident without being arrogant - because he took the time to answer my questions, didn't make me feel like I was stupid, and didn't make me feel rushed or that I was a burden - because he didn't try to up-sell me on things I didn't need - because he genuinely cared about me and my journey - because Elizabeth is knowledgeable, warm, and caring - and because his staff is professional and courteous. Fast forward - I had brachioplasty surgery. It took about four hours from the time I went to the office until the time I was discharged. I am soooo happy with my arms - they are absolutely beautiful! My incisions are healing well and my scars are thin lines. If I had it to do all over again, I would only do one thing different... I would have gone to Dr. Freedman six months ago when I started talking about "having my arms done."
