Came to see Dr. Joseph from the city for rhinoplasty. After doing extensive research it was either dr. Joseph or dr. Reich in Manhattan. After seeing both doctors and receiving so much more care from dr. Joseph I decided to get my procedure done with him. I'm super glad I did because the results are phenomenal. I went to Dr. Joseph for my nose & frown lines. At the consult, he gave me a price of $1300 for a silikon injection (probably just saline solution), but said it may take 1-3 visits. He made it clear that was the TOTAL price. So after paying the $1300 with absolutely NO results, I went back for the next injection. Only then did he tell me the 2nd time would cost an additional $375! I was shocked that I would have to pay again. He became obnoxious and condescending immediately after I politely challenged him about having to pay again. If only "cost" $375, why should I have to pay $1300 for the first injection that did absolutely NOTHING. I reluctantly paid the $375 and went back for the second injection and again saw NO results. What a complete waste of money and time! He knows that people already have alot of money invested and are forced to spend the additional money to see results. Dr Joseph clearly explains why you may not see significant results from one treatment. His micro droplet technique requires slow careful injecting of Silikon 1000 in what may take 3 steps. If it was done any other way you would have over-correction and may have problems as it's a permanent filler. The results are beautiful as shown to me by someone who had it done and it looks totally natural. He took me through the process from start to finish, and explained the payment that was reiterated by his staff. I didn't have the filler the day I was there because I'd taken aspirin but I am going to schedule my visit back very soon. He's a very kind, honest and sincere person in what he says and does. I was researching a lot before I finally made my decision with Dr Eric M. Joseph. After having a bad experience with a previous doctor, it was really hard for me to trust any other doctor, so that's the reason why I had to make sure that Dr Eric M. Joseph is a GOOD surgeon. I had someone recommended him and that girl sworn that she could trust on her life to him. My rating is not relative to Dr J's talent or expertise. Based on his expertise, reviews, and exam, I found him to be excellent. Based on his ability to listen, lack of sensitivity and professionalism, I found him to be arrogant and erratic. I'm glad I got to see this side of him before I chose him as my doctor. I expressed I'd like to explore a more conservative approach, not breaking my nose, understanding the results may not be as HE saw they should be. I was seeking an improvement to the cartilage in my nose. He said my bridge is too wide and if I didn't do it his way, my nose "will be facing Brooklyn when I'm looking at NJ". Not very sensitive. I laughed nervously. I felt bullied. It's not often I feel vulnerable but considering surgery is scary. He has been de-sensitized to this fact. I was tiptoeing so I wasn't able to explain myself as well as I wanted to, tripping over my words. I could sense his frustration building. I tried to make an analogy when he said that's the worst analogy I ever heard. He illustrated the potential results by imaging on the computer; I POLITELY (and meekly) asked if we could see the potential results without breaking my nose, he threw a fit. He became more agitated and confrontational and began to YELL for his assistant saying he was uncomfortable with the conversation. Seriously yelling like a child calling for Mommy it's his way or the highway. He was clearly uncomfortable having a hard time managing his anger and frustration of a patient trying to express herself. I stood up extended my hand to shake his and thanked him for his time and said this isn't going to work out. He laid back in his chair, wouldn't shake my hand and continued to berate me. I excused myself and suggested he take a course on listening. I thanked his staff, who were very cordial and easy going - unlike him - almost like they tiptoe around him - just an observation. I'm a strong woman and do not need to be babied. But I also don't want to be bullied. I was so upset my weekend was ruined. He completely stomped on my spirit and self esteem. If you're looking for a calm, professional, non-egotistical doctor who isn't easily offended by an opinion about how she wants her own face to look, look elsewhere and save your $150. read more

i was all set to have a rhinoplasty done with Dr. Joseph (gave a down payment and set up a date) until he showed his other side. before we went through with it i set up a second consultation to express a concern i had. i wanted to know why he didn't use cartilage to lower the sides of the nostrils, he only uses silicon. once i brought that up his whole demeanor changed. he started asking lots of questions, one of them was "how often do i think about my nose, does it affect my personality?" i said i think about it all the time and yes it affects me. i mean why else would i be here to get a nose job? he proceeded to tell me i need to see a psychologist and that i have major issues. he also told me to see another surgeon and see what they think. he then said he will not due the surgery until i do both of those things. he gave me my deposit back and i had my surgery done by someone else. the first consultation went well with DR. Joseph but if i cant ask questions or express concerns then something is wrong. he use's lots of silicon 1000 which is not really even meant to be used for procedures like this. a foreign substance in my body worries me as it should you. can you really tell if he did a good job in his photos or are his mistakes covered up by using that silicon 1000? read more

He listened to me and had me back in for additional visits before the surgery in order to make sure that he knew exactly what I wanted. My surgery was not an easy one. Amazing revision rhinoplasty results!!! I had a disastrous rhinoplasty with another doctor (in Minneapolis), which left me with severely crooked nose, noticeable bump, wide nose base and breathing problems due to deviated septum. More than that, my right nostril was twitching every time I blinked. I was depressed and disappointed in plastic surgeons, I did not trust them, but thank God I came across Dr. Eric Joseph reviews on independent websites. The feedback was impressive, so I decided to fly to New York to initial consultation. I was so impressed by the way how confident and supportive he was, that I did not even think to go to someone else for another consult. He devoted to me about an hour and did very thorough nose examination. The surgery went smoothly. Dr Joseph called me the evening before the surgery and reassured me once again that everything would be fine. Immediately after surgery, when I was recovering after anesthesia, he told me what he did and said that I was going to like my new nose. Next day after surgery he called me again to ask how I felt and if there was anything bothering me. He was so much caring and supportive, I really felt that genuine care. He gave me hope and he kept his promise to give me a Cute Feminine Nose. Though I am just 2 weeks post op and there is a lot of swelling, my nose looks amazing. Just had my second Silikon injection with Dr Joseph to reduce a pinched supra-alar crease after a rhinoplasty (done elsewhere 7 years ago). I flew all the way to NJ from MN to have this done due to Dr Joseph's extensive experience with this procedure since 1999 and outstanding results. The result is excellent. A revision rhinoplasty would have been difficult, a lot of downtime and recovery, dubious results, and very expensive.
