They have everything you need and are very kind along with making sure that you have the right equipment so you can catch fish.

They are so knowledgeable and truly so good at what they do, we couldn't have felt more safe and taken care of. The camping and rafting was exciting and fun, then we were wine and dined the entire 4 days. This team can truly do it all, I am still thinking " how do they do this?!?!" if you were ever thinking of going on a guided trip like this, I couldn't recommend the Minam team more. Grant, Jerry, Ian, and Robert, you all are incredible . Thank you!!! We are already trying to plan for next year!

A friend and I went by van ride up to the launch in Wallowa and went forward into the wilderness of the Blue mountains. This is geologically beautiful country with magical rock formations thronged by big horn sheep - we saw a group of 20 that entertained us across the river at camp. The fishing was fantastic. Half of the fish were around 14 inches up to right around 20 inches. These are highly capable broad-shouldered fish. Captain Grant, Captain Bobby, and First Mate Callen capably led our expedition. The well-trained and yet affectionate dogs put a cherry on top. Highly recommended. I effing love Oregon. They have a rail ride too.

While trailing on an ATV in Cascade, we lost my father in law's fishing bag filled with priceless items. We drove to Kuna and realized it was gone, and this was right before memorial weekend. I joined Cascade Idaho group and got accepted. I posted about his bag and someone named Sharon picked it up. Michael Powell, retired law enforcement, and family business owner of the Valley Bait and Tackle Shop reached out to me to make a plan to get it back to us. Sharon dropped it off Thursday and Michael drove it down to us Friday morning to Horshoe Bend. He wanted to make sure it was in the right hands. He even gave my father in law a shirt from the shop. This bag was very special to the family as he had items from his father and items from when his son was a child. Michael deserves business at his shop. He showed his kind heartedness and determination to give us the bag back. Thank you Michael, we will be in your shop soon.

We stopped in the shop and were met by the friendliest people you can imagine. They set us up, told us the latest fishing report and even sent us where to go. I've been staying here for years now. It's usually a great experience. Cute cafe and cute little…read morestore. Went up for a birthday weekend and scheduled a room for a Saturday. Decided last minute to see if they had an opening for Friday night as well. They did not which was understandable since it was a weekend and a last minute request. I was told we could check in Saturday at 1. Got there at one and the gal who was supposed to clean showed up to work late and didn't start cleaning our room until then. The guy who checked us in didn't really know what was going on or why we were waiting for ever Which again... was fine we just went fishing and waited. Got back, got the keys, was told there is a leather fly swatter in the room please don't take it. NEVER saw the fly swatter didn't think anything of it. Went to pee, there was poop stains and dirty toilet paper in the toilet. Didn't say anything cause we were only using the room to sleep in as our friends were up the road at woodhead. They have very nice and clean restrooms. Stayed the night and left early cause someone was sick. Weeks later we see there is an extra charge for $60 bucks. So we called to see why. One lady then told us the extra charge was for taking the fly swatter. Then they said a towel was missing. THEN they said for a cancelation fee because we were scheduled 2 nights. They keep their reservations in a calendar on the desk and we clearly saw our name down for one night and the man checking us in only discussed the one night so that is what we payed for when we were there. Why would we have not paid for the second night when we paid when we got there? They don't really seem to know why they charged us extra stayed completely silent for a minute then said... yeah there's nothing we can do. So called the bank to dispute it and they needed further clarification on what the charges were for. Called them back cause we were still confused on WHY we were being charged extra. The lady who answered was super irritated that I was asking and why I wanted to know why they charged me an extra 60 dollars 2 weeks after we were there. She said for damage and cancelation fee then hung up on us. I'm super disappointed and saddened that somewhere I love going and somewhere I've always made a point to buy from in support of a small town store, would react or treat us this way. Also spent over 100 bucks in hats and fishing gear this trip in this store. Never once was I rude on the phone, still don't know where their fly swatter or towel are. Still don't know what damage was done and the disrespectful attitude we got for simply wanting a clear answer is super frustrating and hurtful. Will never stay here again and will never refer my friends to stay.
