I was originally told and believed that I had hernias which is what led me to Eugene Kahn. He did a thorough check up for me, listening the whole time while I told him how anxious all these medical issues had made me. He was one of the most empathetic, compassionate doctors I have ever come across. He took the time to hear me out even though he knew I had just pulled my muscles. While he never did a surgery for me, I get the vibe that he is a hard working and honest man who looks out for others. Do not hesitate to choose this man as your surgeon.

The office staff was always friendly and sent me timely reminders for all my appointments! I never had to wait more than a couple minutes before I was taken to a room to be seen by Dr Kahn. The hospital experience was more of the same! It was done at Los Alamitos Hospital and was done as an outpatient procedure! He met with me before and after the procedure and did the same for my family that was in the waiting room! Dr Kahn has been everything I would expect a doctor to be to a patient. I have already recommended him to a couple of my friends! I highly recommend him and if needed use him in the future! Thank you Dr Kahn!

I was going to give the whole troubled history of how I came to be Dr. Rayhanabad's patient, but…read moreit's a long story, so instead I'll just relay the recent, happy part of my story. I want to start off by saying that finding Dr. Rayhanabad (here on Yelp) was the BEST FIND I've ever had! Well, actually, I believe I was being Divinely *led* here (to this Yelp review); in fact, Divinity has stayed with me, and Dr. Rayhanabad, during this whole trial! Thankfully, my breast cancer was discovered early, and Dr. Ray..., unbeknownst to her at the time, scooped it all out! "Unbeknownst to her at the time..." because all the tests showed that my cancer was only 3cm and so that is the number that Dr. Ray... was working with during my surgery. But, because it's her practice to scoop out more tissue (more than many, if not most, of her peers), she ended up getting out all 4cm of the cancer with 1cm of clear margins! When I saw her at my post-op follow-up appt., she said she was very surprised at the actual size of my cancer, which, she said, made her even happier when she saw that the tissue had clear margins. She said she did the Dance of Joy! She also said that I was very lucky, because if she had known it was actually 4cm in size, she would've had to do a mastectomy. (I have since told her that maybe I should be a case study to show that you don't necessarily have to do a mastectomy based solely on the size of the cancer.) Anyway, due to the fact that Dr. Rayhanabad is a superbly skilled surgeon who has a high success rate in following the "One and Done" motto, all the (known) cancer is out of me! ("One and Done" meaning, only going into surgery once, get out all the cancer, and be done with it.) I am so happy that Dr. Rayhanabad will be with me on this journey for the foreseeable future; and now, when I see her walk into the room, I get such a sense of joy & comfort. THANK YOU Dr. Rayhanabad for your surgical skills, for the joy your work brings you, and for the great love you have for your patients! And, the gals in the office are pretty nifty too - smiling, friendly, helpful ladies!

I know several, yes, several women who see her and every lady has given me positive feedback on the care they receive from her. I must note that she is so sought out that you may have to wait a while in the waiting room. I had to wait 90 minutes before I was seen. Perhaps because she takes TIME with each patient and you do not feel rushed. She was mindful of the wait and apologized.

I had such a positive experience and couldn't be happier with my results so far (surgery 4-7-26)…read more The doctor was incredibly attentive, took the time to listen to my concerns, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. What really stood out was how genuinely concerned he was about the condition of my implant and his commitment to doing what was best for my health--not just cosmetically, but overall. The office staff were equally impressive (Manoosh, Cynthia, Shannon)--professional, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. The entire office has such great energy, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. I'm very happy with my breast implant exchange...so far and truly grateful for the care and attention I received. Highly recommend

Since my initial review, I have been in ongoing communication with the office regarding anesthesia…read morebilling and documentation. I did receive formal legal correspondence requesting that I remove my review. However, my primary request throughout this process has remained the same -- to obtain accurate billing records and to address concerns regarding how anesthesia pricing was presented on the day of surgery. After multiple requests, I was eventually provided documentation. During that process, I discovered that the original anesthesia invoice had been sent to an incorrect email address, which does not match either of the email addresses I have on file. This explains why the invoice was not received earlier and contributed to delays in resolving this issue. My current concern relates to the anesthesia cost increasing from an initial estimate of approximately $500, to approximately $1,500, and ultimately to approximately $1,800. The final amount was presented on the day of surgery while I was already being prepared for the procedure. At that time, I was already in a surgical setting, extremely nervous, and had already committed significant time, preparation, and financial resources based on the previously discussed amount. While I understand that estimates can change, I did not expect a final increase to be presented at that stage. I did not feel I had a meaningful opportunity to evaluate the change or reconsider the financial terms before moving forward. I was also advised that the procedure would still be billed if I did not proceed, which made it difficult to pause or reassess the situation after I had already signed prior documentation and prepared for surgery. Additionally, I had been told the procedure was urgent, which added to the pressure of making a decision in that moment. During this process, I also learned that the anesthesia provider did not present or discuss the final pricing with me directly. Instead, the updated pricing and consent were handled through staff within the surgery center. Manoosh, who works with the surgical office, presented the revised pricing, obtained my signature on the updated document, and collected payment for the increased amount. Because the payment was collected through the surgery center and the updated agreement was facilitated by their staff, I have directed my concerns to Ocean Plastic Surgery regarding how this process was handled. As of now, I have not received a response from the office addressing these concerns. I am continuing to seek resolution directly, but I would encourage others to ask detailed questions about anesthesia pricing, timing of final cost disclosures, and available payment options well in advance of any procedure. I will continue to update this review as the situation progresses.

He bent me over the exam table and did something back there, which was quite painfull but passed immediately. I believe he's a great doctor. He may not explain all he does, but he does it correctly. The only reason I gave him 4-Stars is because I have yet to have him work on me surgically. I find him to be a very pleasant doctor!

I have never written a Yelp review before, but felt compelled to do so after how bad my experience…read morewas. I went to doctor Shbeeb for chronic anal fissures. I have had these issue for years, and they will periodically flare up and cause intense pain and discomfort. I had to book my appointment 4.5 weeks ahead of time (not the doctor's fault, but meant that I was in pain for a month before I got there). At the office I waited for 30 minutes without any explanation or comment from the staff. Once I saw the doctor, he gave me an incredibly uncomfortable exam. I have had multiple exams before and they always involve the patient lying on their side so the doctor can exam their rectum. Dr Shbeeb instead used a table that you had to get onto on your hands and knees, that was then inverted keeping you at a 45° downward angle. This was disorienting to say the least. Then he proceeded to give me the most painful exam I've ever had, going much deeper than any doctor I've had before, and using a very large probe device. If you have had hemorrhoids or anal fissures you can imagine how painful this was. After that we went into his office where he told me, without making much eye contact, that I had an anal fissure. Which I already knew, not to mention that I actually have multiple. He only mentioned the hemorrhoids I have after I said I already knew I had several. I tried to explain my history of this condition, what I've tried, what previous doctors told me, and the results of a previous colonoscopy. He was not interested in any of this and interrupted me several times. The only question he asked was the name of my previous doctor. He told me to drink water, eat fruit, do a sitz bath, and use preparation H. All of which I've previously tried and have not worked well, which is why I was in his office in the first place. I prompted him about a procedure I had heard of from a previous doctor, and he said that was a possibility, and was a minimal, outpatient procedure. When I shared my concerns about side effects, mentioned by a previous doctor, he dismissed them said they weren't common. I asked if it could be pin worms and he said "who told you you have that" when I responded "nobody, I read about it online", he said "online? You don't have that". He was glib and dismissive the whole time and eventually said "do what you're doing or get surgery, it up to you, good bye" and looked down at his desk. My experience start to finish was uncomfortable, disrespectful, and frustrating, I would recommend others avoid Dr. Shbeeb.

As an active 37‑year‑old mom of two, even the simplest daily tasks became painful, and during flare‑ups the pain was unbearable. I was often told that surgery wasn't an option for someone my age. I repeatedly heard that bulging or deteriorating discs were "common" and should simply be managed with medication or injections. But after learning about a friend's wife who had a successful procedure at Advanced Spine Care, I realized I didn't have to keep living this way. I reached out to Dr. Verma, and after several consultations, I finally felt confident moving forward. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The surgery center, nursing staff, and fellow surgeons made me feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. I was up and walking the same night as my surgery, and each day brought noticeable improvement. My incision was small and healed beautifully thanks to Dr. Rao. Before long, I was back at the gym, walking on the treadmill, using the stair master, and taking Pilates classes. Now, four months post‑surgery, I continue to increase my activity level and feel stronger every day. Had I known how life‑changing this procedure would be, I would have done it years ago. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Verma and his incredible team for giving me back pain‑free days and the ability to fully enjoy my life again.
