I will tell you this--aging is not for the faint of heart. Staying well takes intention, effort, and the right guidance. Dr. Guttas is a gift--his time, his insight, his perspective. Don't waste it. My life will never be the same after this visit, and that is a good thing. Together with my other physician, he's helping me work toward turning the clock back 15-20 years. What struck me most was how quickly he understood me. Within minutes of asking a few thoughtful questions, he had a clear read on my personality and what drives me. I kept thinking I needed to explain myself, but he was already several steps ahead. With more than 25 years of experience as a cardiologist, his ability to observe and understand a patient so quickly is remarkable. That kind of attentiveness--and a commitment to treating the whole person rather than just the chart--is rare these days. Modern medicine and pharmacology are helpful tools, but be prepared: you'll need to face some hard truths. Real change requires honesty, lifestyle adjustments, and the willingness to put in the work. Loved her so much that I got my 91 year old mother going to her and my husband. We all are very happy we found such a caring doctor. Never had a problem with the staff, everyone has always been so helpful. I love Mills-Peninsula. I have had 3 surgeries in 3 1/2 years. Everyone at this hospital and clinic are awesome. Dr. Amara convinced me to take care of myself. Her kindness and gentle manner gain my complete trust.

(After going to ER of course.) She listens and ordered X-rays and prescribed medication for the various pains. I'm unsure why others were complaining but she has lovely bedside manner, smiles, cares, and most importantly is a doctor of action, not just sitting around hoping you'll recover. I highly recommend her!

He didn't sit back and listen but instead kept trying to absorb all the old data on my EPIC account on the computer monitor, when a true professional would have studied that info prior to my meeting with him. He tended to interrupt me when I speaking to him which was was very annoying. At one point, he asked me to not talk while he was attempting to absorb some of my online history! He performed the usual cursory exam of listing to me breathing. At the visit end I was told I seemed healthy enough, he had no idea what might have caused my initial complaint, medical science couldn't always figure stuff out and effectively gave me the equivalent of a shoulder shrug. He offered no further testing or referrals to other MD's. IMO, Dr. Angeja displayed a lack of interest in myself as a patient, a lack of interest/curiosity and appeared to be just going through the motions to close out our visit and move on to whatever other patients or work he had to do that day. Especially publicly. So here it goes: Our son had a serious fainting episode and Dr. Griffin's office was able to get us in a timely matter without any administrative problems. His front desk staff were warm and accommodating. Dr. Griffin performed the echo himself. Unheard of! (I get regular echocardiograms done by technicians which then get *reviewed* by a physician *later*.) His bedside manner was calming, unassuming and put a worried and frazzled parent to ease. Dr. Griffin spent nearly 2 hours with us going through other tests, as well as family history. Again, unheard of! The time he spent with us was thorough and detailed, I felt like a load had been lifted as we walked out of his clinic. Note: I am an experienced lifelong neuro/cardio patient at Stanford who can attest to numerous bad experiences. Dr. Griffin is an excellent choice for any child needing care from a cardiologist.
