The final straw was when I had a UTI and went there for a test. I told the medical assistant (or nurse, not sure) that I had a UTI for sure and I was in pain. They told me to let them decide that. They did a quick urine test and told me I did not have an infection. The Dr. referred me to a urinary specialist to see if there was another problem. I ended up waiting almost 2 months to get into the urinary specialist only to be told that I was very sick with a bad UTI. They seemed very concerned and treated me at that time. I was on HCTZ for over 10 years for high…read morebp, and in 2017, I was taken off the HCTZ and was prescribed a couple more meds by a cardiologist. More than once it went as high as 200/100, and Dec 2017, my chiro caught it at 200/115, straight to urgent care I went. That Dr did some tests, asked me a lot of questions and saw no signs of a potential stroke, at the end of that session, my bp came down to 150/90-100 (I forget exactly). So he didn't change any meds but told me to see my cardiologist. I did that, and she told me to just keep doing what I'm doing and changed nothing. Those meds she gave me made me feel sick, light-headed, blurred vision, confused, very sleepy and brought my heart rate down to the low 50's. They take the time to get to know you and make you comfortable. I'm a patient of Dr. Scott Bralow's - he is incredibly intelligent, remembers the smallest details and I always leave with a smile. He has returned my calls and helped me on weekends WHILE he is away on vacation. My brother was also his patient prior to a relocation. One Friday night three years ago, he had an emergency situation and we sped to the hospital (were in the burbs). Dr. Bralow was ON IT. Not only for my brother, but for me as well. He still asks about my brother's health and cares for his patients immensely. Dr. Bralow also deals with my particular history with delicacy. He is really quite patient with me.
