I recently purchased 5 acres in Plant City and the property had been neglected for a number of years. It was maintained minimally but the much needed tree trimming had NOT been done in years. In fact, the over hang over my two warehouses was so extreme that there was wood rot from the leaves sitting for so long to one of my pole barn's beams. Trimming all of the trees in the front of the property and close to the pole barns was a must and multiple tree limbs were resting on both roofs, one warehouse is 3400 sq ft and the other is 6400 sq ft, so to put it lightly this was a really big job. Doug came to quote me within a few days of me contacting him and was very flexible with my schedule (I live far from my property and planned multiple quotes on the same day), the best part was how reliable he is. He showed up on time and communicated with me before and after we met. He was available when I was able to meet, so basically at my earliest convenience and I didn't have to wait. He was able to start as soon as I was available which was vital because I needed the trees trimmed prior to painting. Doug is extremely knowledgeable and a very friendly guy. He's honest and humble which is great when dealing with someone on your property. He did an excellent job trimming and removing my trees and completed the job to my exact specifications. I was 100% pleased with not only his work but his clean up was impeccable, and that's vital at the end of a job for me. He's a neat and tidy worker and held his employees to high standards. I didn't have to request he clean up anything when he was complete because he did such an excellent job in the first place. He also treats his guys very well and in return, they do great work. Doug was always extremely professional and nothing was damaged throughout the entire process. He was very careful and remained on site for the entire job. They worked efficiently and did not rush to complete any tasks. Up until recently never had a bad experience and always left thinking about what would be next on the list! However, just had my first bad experience after 20+ years very recently. Involved a written quote obtained while in their office regarding the specifics of the job, and after the service was completed - I was yelled at and cursed on a phone call afterwards - a proposed 50% a increase in price was demanded for the job completed. Legal action was threatened if I did not comply. Ironically - less items on the list were completed and manpower present had decreased from 3 to 2 workers. Reason - that their written quote had been wrong - only discovered after the job was finished and the crew had left. Long story short, won't go back ever. Payment based on original written quote - sent.
