    If I could give zero stars I would. I have been a patient at Dr Odea's office for at least 15-20…read moreyears and my husband was a patient there for over 20 years. As of now, we are both looking for a new practice. I am on medicine that I need to take daily for life threatening conditions. I called for a refill and I was told it was called into the pharmacy; however, the pharmacy said they could not call in the prescription because North Internal Medicine stated I needed bloodwork- they told my pharmacy and not me!!! So I am without my thyroid medicine that I need daily in order to LIVE!!! plus my blood pressure medicine as well. I called and was on hold for 27 mins before someone answered me. The girl sounded like she was in bed when she answered the phone and I asked if North Internal medicine was in the business of allowing their patients to DIE from denying medication refills to their pharmacy when nothing was communicated to the patient. I WILL NOT EVER recommend this practice to any one EVER AGAIN!!!! And if you owe a balance- dont worry about getting an appointment or a refill you are better off finding another dr to care for you- SO I have to find another dr in order to get my medicine that allows me to LIVE before the Thanksgiving holiday. And yes the review from 2018 is definitely OLD and OUTDATED.. What once was will never be again - North Internal Medicine I am so DONE with you and I really hate this because Myles and Debra were good at one time.

    I've been coming to see Myles Benjamin since 2019 & this was by far the worst experience I've EVER…read morehad. I was turned away from seeing Dr. Benjamin due to a balance I had from last summer when I was uninsured. Before that, I had insurance & if there was a balance due, I could pay off some of it so I could proceed with my scheduled appointment. I was told there has ALWAYS been a zero-balance policy & I was not able to schedule another appointment until the full balance was paid off. There was no, well we can work with you today & take a payment but moving forward we cannot schedule you anymore until you're caught up. Mind you, I made this appointment 3 weeks ago, I had been to the ER twice during that time & I was never told ONCE that I had a balance due when I scheduled or afterward. Outside of the rude customer service by the front desk woman (lstafford@northinternalmedicine.com) The office manager Lauren was entirely unprofessional. As soon as she picked up to speak with me, there was no asking what she could help with or what I needed, she said I understand you have an issue with your balance. No Lauren, my issue is not with my balance. It's the fact you shut me down before I even started talking. I needed bloodwork for medication I have been on for a couple years now, I have chronic conditions Myles has treated etc but because I can't pay my full balance, you'd rather shut me down & get NO money out of me. This all comes down to poor communication, which this office has unfortunately become notorious for. They don't contact people or notify of appointments, balances, prescriptions, then when you show up for an appointment, you're made to be the idiot. Had I been told WEEKS ago when I made the appointment that I would need to pay in full to be seen, I would've made other arrangements. This place does not care about you, they care about your money & getting there's first before helping you. I was literally asking for help & would've happily given them some amount of payment as good will so I could be seen & taken care of. I'm not a stranger or a new patient. I've been coming here for years, anywhere from a routine work up to injuries. I hate to think that anyone else has gone through what I have......
