I went with my dad to look for a suit for a funeral, the staff was very friendly and helpful! Scott helped us and recommended Men's Wearhouse for what he needed and was very accommodating. Even though we didn't buy anything the value of what you're getting looked great. He plans to go back and find suit custom made, and they mentioned it'll only take 2-6 weeks. I wanted to give a huge thank you to Chris, we started off at men's warehouse and couldn't get a hello let alone any service. We had passed this shop assuming it was going to be more expensive and less of a selection but we were wrong. After being in the shop we were instantly greeted and acknowledged and Chris let us know he would be right with us. Literally from start to finish he listened, was tentative and got to know me and my needs for this event. We didn't care about the price we were more interested in how the store made us feel and the overall experience. Grouchy service staff , if you ask questions you may get to hear " you are starting to piss me off " from the store staff . That was me asking specifically asking for quicker turnaround on alterations. The simple answer could have been "we can't do better 3 weeks". Also Enjoyable were the backhand comments. If you want to enjoy pissy customer service that is judging you vs listening to what you are looking for ask for "James". Worst customer service ever by store #0414 with Debbie(manager) and Brian (manager). Our wedding venue cancelled /delayed opening. It took me contacting corporate to get our suit rental deposits back. Debbie ranted she is too busy with in store clients to help me on the phone and if I drive in and in front of her. Then she would help me. Other wise I'll have to wait until she feels like helping a client spending over $1200. I call back in to get the most rude person of all Brian. He let me know he can do refunds but refused to do ours. Why? "His manager Debbie told him she will take care of it so he will let her do that". I asked over and over, you can do a refund? "Yes" then could you please give us the refund we are due and let us move our business else where. Brian went into how he used to be a security guard at my employer and everyone is incompetent there, so that means I am as well. I literally can't believe this is customer service? Consistently been shopping here for last 3 years but went to this branch for the first time. Is a standalone store with its own parking. Typical men's clothing store - it is on the pricier side, with different sales and promotions running occasionally they try to push their clothing. I would say they have a lot to choose from in different price ranges. They had some newer colors this time. There is a tailor there available for providing any alterations which you'll have to pick up later. However, looking through and the trials and fittings out takes too much time here, service is average. Checking out even takes longer. read more

I don't often leave negative reviews of any place but here I'm willing to make an exception. I walked in and a guy did greet me. I told him I saw some clearance priced sport jackets on the web site and wondered if they also had them in the store. He was not happy though he measured me and gave me a jacket to try. He got his phone out to look at the web page and pretty much ignored me. When I said the jacket was a bit tight he gave me a size larger and said the mirror is over there. He than proceed to help another customer who came in leaving me alone despite there being two other staff members in the store. After being ignored for a while I hung the jacket up and left without a word from any three of them. It was a nice jacket but I would not buy anything there read more

There is nobody there with style that can help young men figure out what they want with their suit. I got a suit for my wedding and they just stand there and say I don't know when you are trying to decide how you want it. And they refuse to let you have it a tighter fit and make it fit very baggy. I had my suit altered 4 times and had to be very rude to get them to make it how I wanted. And all my groomsmen had a terrible experience as well. read more

I am not a person to do reviews on places but my experience here was absolutely awful so I felt the need to do one. My boyfriend and I came in looking for a black jacket that he can wear can wear to work. Nothing too fancy. A gentleman approached us and asked if he could help us. The entire time he tried helping us, we felt very insulted. He never asked what kind of jacket specifically we were looking for but started showing us things. This man made us feel stupid and like we knew nothing about men's clothing. We ended up leaving with nothing because of the way he made us feel. He took an attitude the entire time. My beloved Mother recently passed away. I rushed to Lancaster as quickly as possibly to be with my grieving family. I had only the cloths on my back and nothing for my Mother's funeral. The clerks and service at Jos A Bank, Chelsea Square was absolutely outstanding. My brother and I were fitted with beautiful suits, tailored on the premises and immediately. Worst customer service. Went in with my husband to buy a suit for our wedding, and we should have left after the first comment being "thank goodness I'm not getting married". I had an appointment I scheduled online (with email confirmation on my phone) and they couldn't find it, started to panic and tell me "we do not have this appointment", all the while the store had 4 employees sitting around and not one single customer. It went downhill from there, we had to go in 4 more times to pick it up, have alterations done, redo alterations, etc. We encountered multiple employees, each one worse than the one before. We had to argue with them about how we wanted the pants altered. It was absurd. This was the most stressful and miserable part of wedding planning. Go anywhere else!!! It's not worth it. read more

This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been going to Jos A Banks for the last 15 years and recently moved to PA for a new job. The Lancaster, PA store needs some much needed training in customer services. I know you have filed for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy but dear god the folks at this store could give a shit. I waited 30 minutes or I should say standing around to have a suite tailored that I bought through Jos A Banks and was acknowledged once by an employee. Note, they had one other customer in the store. I was told I needed to wait for a dressing room to open and then other customers came in after me and where shown to a dressing room? I guess I was the dumbass that stood there but finally asked if I can get my suit tailored again and was told, oh yeah well once there is a open dressing room. I walked out and honestly will not do business with them or Jos A Banks again, wonder why they filed for bankruptcy? read more

It's hard to rate a suit that I don't have yet- actually two suits. The waiting time for tailoring is over 5 weeks. Now, when I bought my suits, I was told 3 1/2 weeks. I went in today, 4 weeks later, and was told it will be another week to week and a half. I can't stand over promising and under delivering- especially when the over promising, three and a half weeks, was too long to start with. The deals seem pretty good, and again, I can't comment on the quality and value until I get the suits, however, I would recommend getting them tailored elsewhere. The absolute worst customer service ever. I'm getting married and finding suits for the wedding was the worst part of planning. Our first visit started with a younger employee (who is apparently the manager's son) telling my fiancé how he hates weddings but loves to hook up with the bridesmaids. We had an idea of what we wanted but it was still early to order. When we went back a few months later, the manager helped us. He found our paper and informed us that the other employee had put us down for a slim fit suit. That was not going to work and I had talked to them about the various sizes we would need (big and tall, etc). The manager was very stand offish and not super helpful or approachable. We left feeling a little better but planned to come back when there was a sale a few weeks later to lock in the price. We went back and met with Michael the assistant manager. He was much more helpful and got us a great price. My fiancé ordered his suit and a few weeks later we went back to pick it up. My dad came along to get sized and order his. First, they had my fiancé put his suit on and he came out with his tshirt on underneath. I asked if he could put the shirt we ordered on so we could see the whole look together since we had yet to see it. The manager literally "huffed" at me and said "I guess." He had someone else size my dad for his suit. The manager then acted like we were a total inconvenience making comments about the suits while on the computer. Fast forward to today, my brother and my dad went in. My brother needed to order his and my dad needed to pick his up. They informed my dad that they didn't have a vest big enough for him when the one they ordered didn't fit. (Once again, they ensured that they had big and tall sizes that would fit the entire party.) They continued to give him a hard time and make comments when he tried to return his shirt because it was too small. The assistant said "well, I guess I'm taking the hit on this one." So unnecessary. They continued with my brother, trying to order him sizes that were completely wrong. When they weren't sure what size vest to order, they said they would order 2 sizes and then tried to charge him for both vests. This is only part of the story and the amount of rudeness we dealt with! I am soooo upset about this entire process. If I could have returned all of these suits and gone to another store, I would have in a heartbeat!!!! read more
