From the time I reached out to the time he arrived was about 20 minutes! Super fast service. He loaded up my car and took it to the service center. Highly recommended Daniel Towing!

5/5Tony from Roadside Assistance towed my Chevy Equinox and did not steal it, which I realize is a…read morelow bar until you are standing in a driveway in San Antonio with a GPS tracker on your leg like a cursed Fitbit and a stranger has your keys. I called for a jump. The Equinox said no. I had to switch the ticket to a tow. Tony waited the five minutes it took for the app to emotionally process that. He did not sigh. He did not ask why I went back inside. I went back inside because if this monitor thinks I am fleeing in a dead Chevy Equinox I am going back to the place with the applesauce and I am not doing that over a battery. We got the house-arrest thing out of the way immediately. I told him. He nodded like I had said "the AC's been acting up." Zero fear. Zero lecture. Just vibes and a winch. He loaded the Equinox. He did not take it to a field. He did not part it out behind a Whataburger. He drove it to the dealer because that is what he said he would do and then he did it, which in 2026 is basically a miracle and also the legal minimum and I am still grateful. Tony: if you are reading this, thank you for treating a man on a leash like a customer and not a cautionary tale. The Equinox is at the shop. I am still on the porch. The tracker did not snitch. 10/10 would disclose my pretrial conditions again.

He ended up helping us twice and did so with a good sense of humor. He was also super quick and nimble operating his tow truck and moving everything. We will definitely ask for Jesse next time (which hopefully isn't for a long time).

An Unexpected Joyride in the World of Towing…read more Let's be honest: no one "plans" to need an emergency tow truck. But if you're going to be stranded, stressed, or stuck in the unforgiving heat of San Antonio, you'd be lucky to end up in the hands of Alamo City Towing. My experience with this company was nothing short of exceptional--and not just "for a tow company," but by any standard of customer service. Take your pick... really any company should operate this way. After submitting a Yelp request, I received a response in what felt like mere seconds. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd summoned a towing sorcerer, Yelp was on point or just encountered a business that actually cares about being efficient in 2025 (I know rare like a blue steak - if ya know ya know). Within 30 minutes, they had picked up the vehicle in San Antonio and were already on their way to Boerne. The drop-off you ask? Smooth, fast, and dare I say--record-breaking. Throughout the whole process, communication was constant and not in an overbearing way, but in a "hey, we've got you covered" kind of way. I always knew where the vehicle was, what was happening, and when to expect each update. They gave me an instant quote over the phone before we agreed to anything, which matched the final charge exactly -- save for a modest $6 service fee because I used a credit card (which they explained clearly upfront). There were no hidden fees, no last-minute surprises, and no cryptic breakdown of charges. Professional? Absolutely. Efficient? Without question. Pleasant? Somehow.... yes. Here's the quirky part: if life ever throws you the kind of curveball where your car ends up immobile and your day feels like it's going off the rails, Alamo City Towing is the rare kind of company that can turn one of the more stressful chapters into something... almost enjoyable. Because when you're down on your luck, it helps to have a someone, anyone that can make a necessary evil like towing your broken vehicle to be more like the roadside rescue squad you didn't know you needed. Other companies take note. There is a competitor in town and they have set the bar really really high.
