These six got together and with other Cirque performers, practiced and eventually the Apéro Show came about. The show consists of a juggler, some strength numbers, contortionists, doing acrobatics on a pole, and a couple of comics known as Stinky and Bunny. The show takes place in an intimate venue--the Baobab Stage--a part of Wassa Coulibaly's--a former Cirque performer also-- boutique, cafe, and performing arts space in Town Square. The theatre is an intimate space with seating at high top tables, couches, low tables, and some large stuffed chairs. The theatre is decorated in an attractive and eclectic manner. The performers are constrained to some extent by the small nature of the stage and the low height of the ceiling. Yet these 6 people manage to put on a show that is very entertaining. Joined by the two comics, Stinky and Bunny, the eight put on about an hour of entertainment. There's a brief 10 minute intermission when you can refresh your drinks or go to the restroom. Tickets are generally sold with a minimum of two. This started because of the Covid restrictions on percentage capacity. I got the chance to go last night. I enjoyed every moment. These performers need to be on stage and they do a super job in this smaller space. Go see the show and support our local artists!

Seats are big enough for people bigger than average, and it was not full, so it was comfortable. The snack bar items are not too high of prices. You can get water and soda for $2 and bottle beer for $5. This is no Barnum and Bailey, but it's a perfect little laugh and entertainment for a family afternoon. I am giving it a 4 since it is really nice for families and kids.

For the Kindergarten age and under, there aren't a whole lot of activities on or near the Las Vegas Strip, obviously, but this children's show is a quick ride share drive from the major resorts. A husband and wife duo put on an Alice in Wonderland themed puppet show with the wife as Alice and the husband as the puppeteer for the rest of the cast. The puppets look great but set design is simply a video screen - which is fine for the crowd they're catering to. Photos and videos aren't allowed (I found this out while taking pics for my review.) Like all shows at Alexis Park Theater, there is table service (yes, you can watch this show from your own private couch.) There is a full bar and cocktail menu. Seating is comfortable but not graduated. I could still see everything well as the stage is higher than the seats. Overall, if you have very small children and for some reason you have them with you in Las Vegas, this is the show for them. If you're a solo adult, this may be too childish for you.

Wow? Yes. Vegas? Naturally. Spectacular? Often enough…read more WOW - The Vegas Spectacular is a variety show that has been anchoring the Rio Showroom theater for almost a decade. I've been a Rio Rewards member recently, and their 2nd tier and above grant you free annual show tickets. I decided this year to try WOW. You probably wanna save the incentive until the day-of, printing it out from the kiosk then directly taking it to the box office. Then you can pick your seats. The tier of seating available to me was the same as the Pepto-Bismol colored section on the chart visible online when you try to make a purchase. These appear to have a retail value of $86.32 each w/ fees. You can get in pretty easily with your tickets, but you can't bring all that much stuff in. They do have a table where you can leave stuff and pick it up afterward though. They also seem to compensate for disallowing water bottles by setting up free cups of ice water at the bar inside the venue for anyone to take. The show is not Cirque-level, but it's got quite a few exciting acts dispersed over the 1.5-ish hours. And when they set up shop on the protruding circle of the stage, it feels really, really close to the seats. For specific highlights, Silvia Silvia, the crossbow-wielding grandma, does feel world-class. So do most if not all of the acrobats. The main character / "clown" does a solid enough job with interstitials and comic relief overall. Some of the comic stuff and juggling is not all that exciting, and the dancing feels a little tame and sometimes totally unnecessary (not even as a delaying tactic). It'd be nice if they could add a little more intensity in the middle third (before Silvia Silvia), as well as more examples of showing off words and graphics in the falling water. Production-wise, they could certainly make improvements. I'll excuse the old screens/videos, but they don't seem to have heard of surround sound. Instead, the speakers blast at you from one direction, mainly into my right ear from where I was sitting. If they improve the sound, and maybe fade some of the music instead of abruptly halting them before moving to the next track, the show would feel more polished and maybe only half a tier behind the big shows rather than a whole level. Overall, WOW is a good but not great show, better at least than tired old Blue Man Group and maybe some really random stuff at the cheapest Strip properties. You could probably do quite better if spending actual cash, but Rio Rewards regulars should have this show on their checklist.

Iconic and nostalgic…read more Summers of my childhood were spent here playing the games, winning the tickets, getting the prizes, getting the face paint and watching the fun circus acts. It's a joy and there are so many different games to play. A few of my favorites are chicken in a pot, horse racing and balloon popping and ball tossing into floating flower pods. Very official names that I did not just make up. It's a good time and if you want a little extra physical adventure... you can go to the adventure dome as well. Free parking!

I went to V The Ultimate Variety Show at V Theater in Planet Hollywood, and it was a really fun…read morenight. The show has a bit of everything , acrobatics, comedy, magic, and stunts , and most of the acts were really entertaining. My daughter, my friend, and I were literally rolling with laughter at the host , he had us laughing so hard! I especially loved the magician and the performer who put masks on audience members , such a hilarious moment. The theater is small and cozy, so the seats are close to the stage. Sometimes the stage felt a bit tight for some of the taller stunts, but being so close also made it more exciting. The hosts were full of energy and really got the crowd involved. Just a heads up the show uses strobes and flashes, and there's a strict no camera policy, which actually helps you just enjoy the moment. Some seats are just okay in comfort, but overall it was a fun, relaxed experience. I'd go again for sure, it's a light, high energy show that's family , friendly and a different kind of Vegas night.

It's a full-on sensory experience that combines Michael Jackson's music, incredible choreography, acrobatics, special effects, lighting, video, and some seriously talented performers. And let me tell you... the energy in this theater is absolutely off the charts! The show takes you through some of Michael's biggest hits, and hearing those songs performed while watching the choreography and production happening all around you is something completely different from simply listening to the music. The performers were phenomenal. The dancing, acrobatics, costumes, and athleticism were incredible, and there were moments where I honestly found myself wondering, "How in the world did they just do that?" And the production itself? Las Vegas at its best. The lights, screens, sound, effects, and stage design all work together to create something that feels much bigger than a traditional theater show. There is always something happening, and the show moves at a pace that keeps you completely engaged. My wife and I were in Vegas celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and this was definitely one of those experiences that we'll be talking about for a long time. If the performers we saw are truly part of Cirque du Soleil, then the standards for acrobatic circus performance have fallen to an astonishing low. What we witnessed was not a show -- it was a loosely stitched sequence of dancers casually walking around the stage, moving with the level of effort you'd expect at a bar on a Friday night, not from a world‑renowned acrobatic troupe. A couple of performers attempted brief "string jumps," but nothing ever developed into an actual act. We kept waiting for a show to begin, but it never did. Instead, the entire audience sat there watching people stroll around the stage while Michael Jackson videos played on a giant screen -- videos we can watch at home for free. Shockingly, the one performer who showed genuine skill was a one‑legged artist on crutches, who outperformed every two‑legged dancer on stage. That alone speaks volumes. To make matters worse, when one bored audience member stood up to dance beside his seat -- something you'd think a Michael Jackson tribute would welcome -- ushers rushed in like vultures to shut him down. So we paid $235 per person to watch YouTube clips on a big screen, and we weren't even allowed to dance. Michael Jackson would be horrified by what has been done to his legacy here. The audience is expected to sit silently, make no sound, take no video, and simply watch them cash in on his name. The most appalling moment was a segment dedicated to Neverland Ranch -- a part of Jackson's biography that absolutely should not be presented as entertainment. It has been a full week, and we still feel scammed. This was not a tribute, not a circus, and not a show. It was a blatant tourist trap, and an insult to Michael Jackson's legacy.
