Dr Levine prescribed RX meds, but eventually they don't work as well as they did. While in the exam room, I noticed a posted flyer about a new procedure for my condition called "REZUM." Dr. Levine showed me a video and it looked quite sound. I am a retired surgeon, and immediately knew that this was for me. It uses hot water vapor introduced to the prostate through the urethra to destroy the prostate tissue making it hard to urinate and frequently go. Best part: Done right in the office with an anesthesiologist there to induce a light sleep. It takes about 25 minutes. For three days after, you have to have a small catheter which needs emptying about every two hours. (NO BIGGIE!) The surgery is on Friday, you go back Monday and the cath is removed. For a few weeks after, you'll see traces of blood in the urine, but it resolves. I had my surgery on October 8th - one month ago, and my symptoms are getting better - takes a couple of months. Doc says it will last for three or four years - IT IS WELL WORTH IT! The staff is friendly and attentive (especially during COVID), and the waits are not long. Dr. Levine is very understanding, compassionate, and proud of his specialty. THAT is the kind of doctor you want. He returns your calls promptly, and treats you like family. I really can't say enough. I have a son in medical school and another one who is a surgical resident. If they practice like Dr. Levine, they will be very successful! Men: "WHAT are you waiting for!??" Call the office for a consultation today!

After a biopsy, I developed what I later learned is a known and possible complication--an infection. However, over the weekend my condition escalated rapidly, with a fever over 104. I called repeatedly, reached only a recording, left multiple urgent messages, and received no return calls. My condition worsened to the point that I had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with sepsis. I want to be clear: the hospital care I received was excellent and likely prevented a far worse outcome. The issue is not that a complication occurred--it's that I could not reach anyone to address it before it became life-threatening. I could not get guidance, reassurance, or treatment when it mattered most. Follow-up was equally frustrating--long waits, scheduling errors, and even being brought in as the wrong patient. I later learned this is a large network with over 70 doctors sharing a centralized phone system that, in my experience, failed at a critical moment. Attempts to contact the parent organization led only to an online form with no response. This isn't about inconvenience--when patients can't reach their doctors after a procedure, it becomes a serious patient safety issue.

I requested a new container. The Hispanic nurse pointed to the cup and said the container was already labeled and I had to use the contaminated cup and refused to give me a new cup. I was forced to use that cup. When providing the urine sample, the contaminated cup made contact with my skin and private parts. I was panicking and then entered the exam room and the Hispanic nurse checked my vitals. My blood pressure was 160 over 95 and pulse was 110. this nurse did not seem concerned about the very high blood pressure and pulse rate. She did not wear gloves nor alert any of the staff regarding the vitals. I went to see dr Cole for evaluation for issues from uti and pain on the right side. This doctor did not lay a finger on me to physically examine me despite I tell him swelling and pain. He should have examined me to see if the issue is urgent or related to a different organ. I was then asked for a second urine sample since the initial urine was not enough. This same nurse sarcastically and condescendingly gave me the cup and told me don't worry there is no issue with this cup. After leaving the office I was freaking out because i think I may have contracted something from the contaminated cup. My son called two urgent care centers and they advise that we call the northwell office for advice. My son called the northwell center 3 separate times 20 minutes apart and they said an on call physician will reach out to us. As of this writing is over 24 hours and there is no call from them. Please be aware as This may be happening to other patients or the supplies dropping on floors and this nurse reusing them without their knowledge. I went there to get treated for an issue and left without being examined and with a panic attack from possibly getting exposed to an unknown thing due to this rude and unethical person refusing to provide a new cup

I can only describe this female as Hispanic and as a nurse or tech as the office staff refused to provide me her name or title. This was a female Hispanic employee who took my mother to the bathroom for a urine sample. This lady dropped the empty urine container on the bathroom floor contaminated the cup. My mother asked for a new clean cup, this lady refused and pointed to the cup and said it was already labeled and she had to use it. My mother used the cup and it touched her private parts, she was experiencing a panic attack. She entered the exam room shaking her hands uncontrollably and that female employee took her vitals which indicated she was stressed and had a panic attack. This employee did not seem concerned nor alert the office staff regarding the vitals. My mother then saw Adam Cole who did not seem interested in examining her or talking. He did not lay a finger on my mother to physically examine my mother even though she complained about pain right side. He should have examined her to assess if the pain is from kidney, pancreas, appendix pr something else. He also did not want to explain what the ct scan was for and what it shows. He requested more urine sample from my mom. This female Hispanic employee then sarcastically gave my mother a new cup and said don't worry there is nothing wrong with the cup with a weird look. I was standing in front of the exam room and noticed a different employee rushing to get some stuff from the supply closet and picked up an item from the floor. Instead of discarding the dropped item, she took it with her with the rest of the items. It appears that this office does not follow health protocols and endangering the health of patients as the people use dropped items instead of discarding them. My mother and I went home and she was panicking and crying throughout the day and night until this writing asking why this happened to her and why the female employee didn't give her a clean cup. I called the office after hours 3 times leaving messages with answering representative and did not hear back from the on call physician. Next day, an employee from Northwell called and refused to provide me the female Hispanic name and title and said in a rude way I am not giving you the name of my staff. I was then transferred to a nurse who basically said what is wrong with something dropping on the bathroom floor and I was frustrated and told whatever was on the floor got transferred to my mothers body and she cut me off several times and transferred me to another person. As of this writing, my mother did not get an accurate diagnoses from this office, did not get physically examined by physician, was exposed to health hazard due to the female Hispanic employee dropping the cup, and she has panic attacks and nightmares ever since. I am writing this here since I suspect there will be no action taken at all Given that I don't know any of the names of employees I talked to nor the female employee who caused this whole mess. As of this writing I did not receive any info if this employee will be disciplined or removed from the job. As for the doctor, who doesn't physically examined a patient who is complaining of pain? Beware if you value your life and safety.

He was attentive, had a sense of humor, exceedingly empathetic and sympathetic, self deprecating, caring etc. I have seen more than 100 doctors in my lifetime, and I would rank him top 5 on personality. Not to mention, he knows what he is doing. He never left the room, he took all the time that was needed to explain exactly what was going on, he didn't promise the moon and the stars, he was a realist. I went there scheduled for a couple of tests, they were all set up to do them, we talked first, he decided that I had improved so much that the tests weren't needed. We sat and talked for about 20 minutes of how to optimize my care from that point out. I would recommend him in a heartbeat with no reservations. I have not met Marina, so no comment there, but his nurses were also excellent with a sense of humor and no chip on the shoulder, as if he had taught them. I would also rate his nurses top 5.
