We have ate here since we where in High school. The fried peaches and chicken strips are my favorite .But you will never go wrong with a burger or a salad. Service is friendly. If you decide to eat there their is always someone you will know .Pull up a seat and have a bite. read more

We had the cheese steak and onion rings. Both items could use some seasoning but over all pretty good. The prices are a little high but not too bad. I will try something different next time. read more

johnys tonight was very busy--friday night. wife had chicken salad sanwich and onion rings. both very good. i had the chicken fried steak dinner which includes salad, potato. the salad was fine, loaded potatoe excellent. but i will never again order their chicken fried sreak, gravy was fine, but meat was way way overcooked. in future we will stick to cold sanwiches and my old standby favorite, chili cheese burger with diced onions and a side of o rings, i dont know if all of the johhnt dinners are overcooked but mine certainly was read more

johnnys over the past years always has hot and fresh food. we especially like chili cheese burger and chicken pita sandwich. their home style onion rings are the best, not just bewtween here and lawton, but the whole state.imo people are super energetic and helpful. i prefer them to large restaurants such as Chiles both for price and quality and service. restaurant always spotless. . p.s. above is based on dine experiences. altho i live just 3 miles from johnnys the take home food tonight is well inferior of the dine in food. . so it is well worth getting the o rings and chili burger for dine in only. imo read more

Excellent Old Timer burger with hand battered Onion Rings!!! The BLT is good and comes with chips and a pickle spear! Johnny's should add fried pickles to the menu!!! read more

Rude and overpriced Went for lunch today. $28 for burger and salad. Ok. No biggie. Drinks one soda and one water for my fiancé. My fiancé wanted water and inadvertently put a shot of lemonade in her cup afterwhich she filled the cup with water. The clerk called her over and said I didn't charge you for that soda. My fiancé thought she meant to one I got. She paid $2 plus and explained to me what the charge was for. I checked and I was charged, this taken to the cashier and explained and she said, no, that was for the soda my fiancé had taken. It was explained and we not issued an refund. Last time going there. It wasn't the money, it was the point. read more

For the price I had to pay for a small chicken breast and a spoon full of rice you wouldn't think 45 minutes later I would have to go get my own food and they ask for their tip before you get your food. Straight trash food and service! read more

Food was very pricey for this area! My husband and I ordered the Indian tacos, and he had an iced tea, while I had water. $28.00! The fry bread for the tacos was tasteless, and the toppings tasted like they were straight from a can. The portion was very small, and no sides were included. We left still hungry! read more

We come here about once every week or two just to buy my mom fried green tomatoes. She loves her own the best of course, but these do in a pinch. Green tomatoes are not always readily available to us, but they always have them here. I love that she's happy with them and gets her fix at a very good price. And that we are not trying to track down tomatoes and them heating the kitchen and getting grease everywhere to fry them for her. The staff is very friendly when we've eaten here as well. The other food we've purchased has been equally as good as the tomatoes in quality and price. Highly recommend! read more

Jonny's At Oak Tree - You get a lot for the price! - Burgers Near Me - Duncan, Oklahoma

Food is great. Something about the fries that always bring me back. Let me rephrase, the food IS great if you're wanting to have something good cheap and simple. The service itself is also decent, small town place so it's not crazy or anything so even stopping to eat inside is tolerable. The whole atmosphere is that "small town place" to go to after church on Sundays or when you just want a nice BLT during the week for a lunch break. read more

Such a cute place. Has a great selection of food, tons of seating, room to the side for it you have a bigger party. This is the only place I would actively choose to get a salad at, because they are just so good here. Staff is also always so polite. I don't think I've ever came in to a frown or someone with a bad attitude, and that really makes the experience all the better. Definitely recommend. read more

The food here is a tad pricey but most of it very tasty and the service is ok, on the fact they just take your order in a small area and you have to do go for your own refills and go to the counter if you want a to go box and other things as well. Now I will say there chicken fried steak they offer is a decent portion but it is definitely delicious in my opinion. A friend of mine made me a homemade chicken fried steak so afterwards I have been pretty picky on most restaurant's chicken fried steaks . Most are frozen or not that tasty but here I do recommend you give it a try . read more

Was I impressed in the grand scheme of everything I've eaten? No. Was I impressed considering this was the middle of nowhere? Yes. Solid 3.5. Some locals at a museum pointed us to Jonny's as "the" place in Duncan. We stopped in for lunch. It's counter service style, and a little confusing. You walk in, read the menu, then walk to the back to the counter to order. I went with the thunder burger, with jalapeños and bacon, and my dining partner had a double cheeseburger. We split some fries, onion rings, and fried peaches. The burgers were alright, and definitely on the dry side and rather thin. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't the worst burger I've ever had. My dining partner enjoyed her burger. The fries were pretty standard, and the onion rings were monstrous. It took 4-5 bites to finish one of them. The fried peaches were okay, and the sauce that was included was probably the best thing on the table. If I were in Duncan again, I might go back and try something different (the grilled chicken salad was incredibly popular), but that is TBD. read more

Well... Never again will my husband and I go to Jonny's. We ordered to-go today and got cold food. My husband waited for the order inside the restaurant and got it when it just came out. The burgers were dry and luke warm/cold, and the onions were still ice cold under the breading from my order of onion rings, the breading was soggy. That wasn't the worst of it. First, my husband called to let them know, knowing mistakes happen and sometimes orders don't come out right during a rush. We just wanted to take the food back and get correct, fresh food. The manager immediately argued with him and told him that it wasn't their fault that we ordered to-go and they don't know how far we live from there. Um... What? We order food from places all the time and come home with fresh orders. The manager continued to argue and proceeded to hang up on him. I called back and asked to speak with the owner, and she gave the same exact spill, told me she had other customers to serve and if I wanted to "chat" later, then I could call back, but they would NOT be fixing our order. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a calm and quiet person. I never raised my voice once at this woman, and she was just nasty to me. We paid almost $40 for 2 cold burgers, cold sides, 2 drinks, and to be mistreated. I ended up just throwing my meal away, so disappointing. Definitely a place run by an owner who refuses to take criticism of any kind, and evidently believes she is perfect. read more

Came here for lunch while on business. Probably the best meal I had while in Duncan. I had a burger and fries and thought it was pretty good. Others in my group had the salad with chicken and they also enjoyed the meals. It appeared that the Chicken Tenders were the food of choice for most of the people in the place and afterwards I found out that they are known for their chicken tenders. I would certainly come back here if I find myself back in town. It was pretty crowded when we went and all the tables were full but luckily as we were ordering a couple of big groups were leaving. read more

I love coming here as it is one of the cleanest restaurants in Duncan. The staff is friendly and makes it welcoming. The decor and layout makes it nice and cozy. I enjoy just about everything on the menu. I have to flip a coin most days to decide what to eat cause it's all so good. The ranch fries, chicken breast, loaded baked potatoes, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and salads. All just great quality and tasty. This is a top restaurant in our book. read more

We have eaten here many times and have enjoyed the food every time. It is delicious down home cooking, generous portions, wonderful, friendly and courteous staff with a really nice family atmosphere. It is our go to place when we are in Duncan. read more

Best grilled chicken salad in town. Love the honey mustard dressing. A good variety of food to pick from.

We just had lunch it was ok. We ordered the four piece chicken strip dinner. When we received our order we only had three strips. We asked about it and they said we got three because they were big. Really disappointed when you order four we feel we should receive four. read more

It's mainly the food that's good, the setting is average. It's just in a strip mall so it's not very much. The service is ok, but the food is pretty good. The fried peaches are kind of disappointing in taste but the sauce is good and other than that the food is very tasty, and I encourage you to eat here. They have some of the best chicken fingers, burgers, ranch, honey mustard, salads, and onion rings in town, but out of the whole menu I either recommend the blt or the chicken salad sandwich. It's a good place for take out and is a regular for my family. read more

First off grossly overpriced for what it is! The food was good but not fantastic, BUT THEY CHARGED US EXTRA FOR RANCH WITH MY ONION RINGS!! IT COST US OVER THIRTY BUCKS FOR CHICKEN TENDERS AND A SANDWICH!!! we were being stared at by everyone In the place the entire time we were eating, possibly because I'm a guy and have long hair and my girlfriend was wearing a tie dye shirt. You can feel the negative energy radiating from this place. Lady was rude and acted like we should know how the place works, but we have never been there. Having menus in a separate place from the order counter was just weird! You get your own drink and when you ask for hot sauce or ketchup they throw a fit and tell you you get your own! Horrible, horrible, service! Just decent food, but way too expensive for their menu items! Then the nerve to charge extra for ranch , What a joke , we will not be back! I could Even understand the higher prices if they had a waitstaff, but they do not. You order at the counter then they call your name, you get your own drink and condiments, they won't give you a menu. They have them under glass at a separate location than where you order??? Why???? Just judgemental greed mongers. read more

Food was good. Well prepared. Ranch dressing is great. Customer Service on the other hand... Counter was rude, felt like we were being rushed by bussers. Asked the woman at the counter why we only had four tenders in the six tender dinner, and she said, "Sometimes the tenders are as big as a breast and we can't put six in a dinner". Point was valid, but, she came off rude and acted like we inconvenienced her. read more

Very busy place so must be good. I had the Chicken quesadillas which were excellent. I am not too crazy about the way they have their menu posted and everyone gathers around it to see what they want to order. If you are new to Jonny's, it could take a while to look over it then if you want to go back to review a section, someone else may have already gotten that spot. read more

I love this restaurant, but every time I come in and get the cashier Debbie it makes me want to come in less and less.

The food there wasn't bad a pretty solid burger, but the service and vibes in the restaurant were horrible. We walked into the restaurant and every person stared at us, and as we ordered the whole family felt judged if we asked for one thing changed off the menu. Not a comforting place to eat! read more

It looks like after possibly another management change they are finally back to normal. We had a couple chicken tender salads Saturday and all they missed was an extra dressing. The quality of the food was great, more like I remember it being when the originator was still around. read more

Great food even better prices for the food you get. Fried jalapeños are great. I have not had anything that wasn't great. There is a wide variety as well. read more

Great food! Their chicken tenders are the best. Also try their cheese burger salad. Plenty of food and choices.

Salads are wonderful!! Service is good. Place is clean. Comfortable to visit and share a meal.

Boring, drab food on boring, drab plates. Just your regular run of the mill burgers, sandwiches and salads for the most part. Not very tasty,. They used to serve a nice breakfast but it never really caught on. The place is kept clean and the staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. It's just too bad it the same stuff I can easily make at home. read more

Yet , another infamous Duncan restaurant that makes me second guess about going there. Occasionally, you get the correct order. But, as I told my boyfriend, "This is the restaurant I refer to as "sometimey." Sometimes you get everything on your chef salad or baked potato (or a very small portion of it-one time I got exactly three little slices of green onion-yeah, I counted them!), sometimes not (like cheese would be one ideal ingredient in a chef salad or fully loaded potato-GOD forbid since you're paying for it!), sometimes you get good service, sometimes not, sometimes you digest it, sometimes you get sick (and you don't want to know what happened next), and etc. I suppose it depends at what level of laziness they have that day. The fact that they may not even consider people to order certain meals a specific way is definitely apparent, whether charged or not, there or missing (like a fork would be nice with the less-than par poor excuse of a baked potato!), not allergic or wanting to through an anaphylactic shock to throw some excitement into the mix of your day. Regardless, I would definitely order in or out at the counter and watch every meal prepared, check every to go box, and demand a return if not up to par! I have ate Jonny's seven different times and four out of seven meals have not been executed properly and "Nobody ain't got time for that!" Hate to look a gift horse in the mouth you say,( yeah I keep giving them chance like all the other bad restaurants around Duncan), but we do not need to spend our hard earned money on sloppy meals. This restaurant deserves a two out five from me to match the average of fails I have experienced out of seven dining expenditures...and I had the chicken strips, the most bland disgusting thing I have ever had (I mean, if I wanted to eat a bag of white flour, I would have stayed home!), along with the nasty cold brown soggy fries that came with it. I really do not know how good the chicken strips are because mine were disgusting and frankly, I was traumatized after that! Haven't ordered them since and that was in 2012 because I assumed it was one of those "sometimey" meals that I cannot afford to starve for. Always on the go and busy and I do not have time to make a second stop. I hope they consider children too when they mess up...may be our only meal for a while (usually dinner) and last dollar when there is no time to cook... read more
