johnnys over the past years always has hot and fresh food. we especially like chili cheese burger and chicken pita sandwich. their home style onion rings are the best, not just bewtween here and lawton, but the whole state.imo people are super energetic and helpful. i prefer them to large restaurants such as Chiles both for price and quality and service. restaurant always spotless. . p.s. above is based on dine experiences. altho i live just 3 miles from johnnys the take home food tonight is well inferior of the dine in food. . so it is well worth getting the o rings and chili burger for dine in only. imo read more

For the price I had to pay for a small chicken breast and a spoon full of rice you wouldn't think 45 minutes later I would have to go get my own food and they ask for their tip before you get your food. Straight trash food and service! read more

Food was very pricey for this area! My husband and I ordered the Indian tacos, and he had an iced tea, while I had water. $28.00! The fry bread for the tacos was tasteless, and the toppings tasted like they were straight from a can. The portion was very small, and no sides were included. We left still hungry! read more

Rude and overpriced Went for lunch today. $28 for burger and salad. Ok. No biggie. Drinks one soda and one water for my fiancé. My fiancé wanted water and inadvertently put a shot of lemonade in her cup afterwhich she filled the cup with water. The clerk called her over and said I didn't charge you for that soda. My fiancé thought she meant to one I got. She paid $2 plus and explained to me what the charge was for. I checked and I was charged, this taken to the cashier and explained and she said, no, that was for the soda my fiancé had taken. It was explained and we not issued an refund. Last time going there. We come here about once every week or two just to buy my mom fried green tomatoes. She loves her own the best of course, but these do in a pinch. Green tomatoes are not always readily available to us, but they always have them here. I love that she's happy with them and gets her fix at a very good price. And that we are not trying to track down tomatoes and them heating the kitchen and getting grease everywhere to fry them for her. The staff is very friendly when we've eaten here as well. This is the only place I would actively choose to get a salad at, because they are just so good here. Staff is also always so polite. The food here is a tad pricey but most of it very tasty and the service is ok, on the fact they just take your order in a small area and you have to do go for your own refills and go to the counter if you want a to go box and other things as well. Now I will say there chicken fried steak they offer is a decent portion but it is definitely delicious in my opinion. A friend of mine made me a homemade chicken fried steak so afterwards I have been pretty picky on most restaurant's chicken fried steaks . Well... Never again will my husband and I go to Jonny's. We ordered to-go today and got cold food. My husband waited for the order inside the restaurant and got it when it just came out. The burgers were dry and luke warm/cold, and the onions were still ice cold under the breading from my order of onion rings, the breading was soggy. That wasn't the worst of it. First, my husband called to let them know, knowing mistakes happen and sometimes orders don't come out right during a rush. We just wanted to take the food back and get correct, fresh food. The manager immediately argued with him and told him that it wasn't their fault that we ordered to-go and they don't know how far we live from there. Um... What? We order food from places all the time and come home with fresh orders. The manager continued to argue and proceeded to hang up on him. I called back and asked to speak with the owner, and she gave the same exact spill, told me she had other customers to serve and if I wanted to "chat" later, then I could call back, but they would NOT be fixing our order. Anyone that knows me, knows I am a calm and quiet person. I never raised my voice once at this woman, and she was just nasty to me. We paid almost $40 for 2 cold burgers, cold sides, 2 drinks, and to be mistreated. I ended up just throwing my meal away, so disappointing. Definitely a place run by an owner who refuses to take criticism of any kind, and evidently believes she is perfect. read more

Was I impressed in the grand scheme of everything I've eaten? No. Was I impressed considering this was the middle of nowhere? Yes. Solid 3.5. Some locals at a museum pointed us to Jonny's as "the" place in Duncan. We stopped in for lunch. It's counter service style, and a little confusing. You walk in, read the menu, then walk to the back to the counter to order. I went with the thunder burger, with jalapeños and bacon, and my dining partner had a double cheeseburger. We split some fries, onion rings, and fried peaches. The burgers were alright, and definitely on the dry side and rather thin. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't the worst burger I've ever had. My dining partner enjoyed her burger. The fries were pretty standard, and the onion rings were monstrous. It took 4-5 bites to finish one of them. The fried peaches were okay, and the sauce that was included was probably the best thing on the table. If I were in Duncan again, I might go back and try something different (the grilled chicken salad was incredibly popular), but that is TBD. read more

I love coming here as it is one of the cleanest restaurants in Duncan. The staff is friendly and makes it welcoming. The decor and layout makes it nice and cozy. I enjoy just about everything on the menu. I have to flip a coin most days to decide what to eat cause it's all so good. The ranch fries, chicken breast, loaded baked potatoes, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and salads. All just great quality and tasty. This is a top restaurant in our book. read more

Came here for lunch while on business. Probably the best meal I had while in Duncan. I had a burger and fries and thought it was pretty good. Others in my group had the salad with chicken and they also enjoyed the meals. It appeared that the Chicken Tenders were the food of choice for most of the people in the place and afterwards I found out that they are known for their chicken tenders. I would certainly come back here if I find myself back in town. First off grossly overpriced for what it is! The food was good but not fantastic, BUT THEY CHARGED US EXTRA FOR RANCH WITH MY ONION RINGS!! Having menus in a separate place from the order counter was just weird! You get your own drink and when you ask for hot sauce or ketchup they throw a fit and tell you you get your own! We just had lunch it was ok. We ordered the four piece chicken strip dinner. When we received our order we only had three strips. We asked about it and they said we got three because they were big. Really disappointed when you order four we feel we should receive four. read more

It's mainly the food that's good, the setting is average. It's just in a strip mall so it's not very much. The service is ok, but the food is pretty good. The fried peaches are kind of disappointing in taste but the sauce is good and other than that the food is very tasty, and I encourage you to eat here. They have some of the best chicken fingers, burgers, ranch, honey mustard, salads, and onion rings in town, but out of the whole menu I either recommend the blt or the chicken salad sandwich. Food was good. Well prepared. Ranch dressing is great. Customer Service on the other hand... Counter was rude, felt like we were being rushed by bussers. Asked the woman at the counter why we only had four tenders in the six tender dinner, and she said, "Sometimes the tenders are as big as a breast and we can't put six in a dinner". Point was valid, but, she came off rude and acted like we inconvenienced her. read more

I am not too crazy about the way they have their menu posted and everyone gathers around it to see what they want to order. Yet , another infamous Duncan restaurant that makes me second guess about going there. Occasionally, you get the correct order. But, as I told my boyfriend, "This is the restaurant I refer to as "sometimey." Sometimes you get everything on your chef salad or baked potato (or a very small portion of it-one time I got exactly three little slices of green onion-yeah, I counted them!), sometimes not (like cheese would be one ideal ingredient in a chef salad or fully loaded potato-GOD forbid since you're paying for it!), sometimes you get good service, sometimes not, sometimes you digest it, sometimes you get sick (and you don't want to know what happened next), and etc. I suppose it depends at what level of laziness they have that day. The fact that they may not even consider people to order certain meals a specific way is definitely apparent, whether charged or not, there or missing (like a fork would be nice with the less-than par poor excuse of a baked potato!), not allergic or wanting to through an anaphylactic shock to throw some excitement into the mix of your day. Regardless, I would definitely order in or out at the counter and watch every meal prepared, check every to go box, and demand a return if not up to par! I have ate Jonny's seven different times and four out of seven meals have not been executed properly and "Nobody ain't got time for that!" Hate to look a gift horse in the mouth you say,( yeah I keep giving them chance like all the other bad restaurants around Duncan), but we do not need to spend our hard earned money on sloppy meals. This restaurant deserves a two out five from me to match the average of fails I have experienced out of seven dining expenditures...and I had the chicken strips, the most bland disgusting thing I have ever had (I mean, if I wanted to eat a bag of white flour, I would have stayed home!), along with the nasty cold brown soggy fries that came with it. I really do not know how good the chicken strips are because mine were disgusting and frankly, I was traumatized after that! Haven't ordered them since and that was in 2012 because I assumed it was one of those "sometimey" meals that I cannot afford to starve for.
