We were towing our travel trailer from Phoenix to Flagstaff when our Ranger started acting up. We were just a few miles from the exit to Camp Verde so we called and were told that maybe the techs could take a look. We arrived, unhooked the trailer and were happy to sit inside with our pups as it was 115+ outside. After about 30-45 minutes we were told that there had been a bulletin and they were able to clear the codes and update the system to get us back on the road. I had to click a star in order to post but my rating is ZERO: Avoid Jones Ford in Camp Verde, AZ. Bought a certified pre-owned Ford Escape and it has been a constant problem. The vehicle sat for 7 months waiting on a transmission, and the replacement was defective. It has been back in the shop almost every month since, and Ford still cannot fix the issue. I've contacted the dealership management, including the GM, reached out to Ford Corporate multiple times. No one has taken the responsibility or provided a real solution. Instead of standing behind their certified vehicle, they told me to trade it in and take a loss. A "Certified" vehicle should not have ongoing, unresolved issues like this, and customers should not be ignored after repeated repair attempts. Bought a 2022 Tremor and took it in a few months ago for warranty checkup.. they replaced the battery which I was happy with. Tried to start my truck a few days ago and its dead, charging it didn't work and I had it tested, bad cells in the battery. I called them to see if I could bring the battery in and get it swapped.. they said I have to bring my truck in (45 min drive) and leave it with them for half the day... I think they were trying to deter me from coming in and it worked. I have no way to get my truck there without towing it, jumping the batter didn't even work. My wife's 2013 Escape was due for service at 94K miles. They did an EXCELLENT job. I asked for a little above and beyond what one would expect at that mileage & they delivered !!! They brought attention to the brakes - they needed it. Drain, flush and fill all fluids. Addressed all of the outstanding recall issues. I bought my Mustang at Jones Ford in 2016. I have since brought my " Sunny" in ( she's yellow, hence the name) for Ford recalls, brake issues, and oil changes. The service department was always accommodating, offering rides to get me to and from my home, washing my car after service and making me feel like I was a valued customer. Unfortunately, that has all changed. My recent trip to Jones for an oil change this summer, I found a sour and abrasive service department. They did not care that I was a customer of the dealership. I felt I was annoying them and they were too busy to give me any of their " valuable" time. Today, I went to start my car to find it did not start. I called Jones to let them know I would be having a tow truck bringing my car into them. I explained I was a customer. The response was " we are two weeks out with our service" I said I was a customer, bought my car at Jones and the service rep continued to say they were two weeks out to provide service. I then asked if I was going to have to leave my car there for two weeks for service and they said probably. Ok, I bought a 35k car from them, I have given them my service needs and I felt like I was a " wanna be" person looking into their window and saying " please sir, help me". Not what I would expect from a dealership where I bought my car from!!! On a good note, Tyler in the rental department was very helpful, customer oriented and he was ready to help with a loaner car being I thought my car was going to sit there for two weeks before being serviced. Come on Jones- you can do better than this. Take care of your customers if you want return business! read more

On 4/17/24 my brakes were grinding. I went to Big O' Tire in Sedona. Brian told me that I needed 4 new rotars and 4 new brakes totaling $1,400.00 & he could get me 0% financing for one year. I told him I would think about it. They made me wait 45 minutes while they (put the car together) hoping I would change my mind. When Brian gave me the keys he said "I would have your car towed if it was me". One last shot at getting my business. I then called my cousin in KC that owns a Ford dealership & he said it would be very strange for any car to need all 8 things at once and if it did it should be around $800 dollars. I drove to Jones Ford & did not tell them about what Big O' had quoted. Jim was so nice. He sat down next to me & was sorry to tell me that I did need new rotars & pads in the front, but the back brakes looked great. And that it would cost me $440.00. He then introduced me to a nice man and told me that I could be driven anywhere I wished to go while they were working on my car. Wow! What a different scenario. I basically saved $1,000.00 and had such a pleasant experience. Something else cool happened. I was scheduled to have my windshield replaced a couple days later with safelite (costing $472.00). Jones Ford gave me Kenny the glass guys number & his bid was $300. Kenny came out the next day and installed my glass. Thanks Jones and Kenny. You were both professional, friendly & fair and I saved $1,172.00 by finding you both. read more

Service- I travel often and have my car mainly oil change in a different dealership. I reason recently I had my car serviced in the west valley of Phoenix and was told I need a battery and get a wheel alignment since I had new tires brought elsewhere on the vehicle and tires look like alignment was needed. I said to hold off I was going home and would have the dealership where the vehicle was purchase look at the look and get a second opinion on it. I found a hard to come by 2023 Ford Bronco advertised on cars.com at Jones Ford. I called and spoke to Paul Homer the salesman. Paul was very forthright and personable. We came to an agreement and Paul emailed me a buyers order. As I live in Denver I flew to Phoenix and was picked up at the airport by Frank Snelling from the dealership provided by Jones Ford as a courtesy. Frank drove me to Camp Verde to pick up the Bronco. Frank and I had a great conversations on the trip and he told me about the area and what a great place Jones was to work. Paul even ordered Starbucks for me that we picked up on the way. When I arrived at the dealership I met Paul and the Bronco was ready to roll. The paperwork was as agreed and the staff were very professional. I've bought a lot of new cars in my life and this was by far the best experience I've had. Paul took the time to show me all the features of the vehicle and it wasn't rushed. 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan Purchased 12/27/21 $19,000+ CASH Friday 12/31/21: Rattling noise in the back of the van, on the left side. Drove to Camp Verde - the service dept tried to figure out the issue but didn't resolve it. It STILL rattles. They ASSURED me it wasn't a safety issue---hmmm, if you don't know the source of the issue, how can you say it is NOT a safety issue??? Windshield has 9 noticeable chips in it. I went back and forth with Mark on this. I wanted it replaced, he said Kenny from Red Rock Auto Glass has to look at it and make a decision as he is the expert. In my opinion, it NEVER should have been put out on the lot with the damaged windshield. Jones Ford should have replaced it before putting it up for sale. It doesn't take an 'expert' to figure this out. Kenny looked at it and finally, the windshield was replaced on 1/24. There are also numerous mini-chips in the windshield, not too noticeable from the outside but can be seen from the inside. If you run your hand across the glass on the outside, you can feel the indentations. Oil leak: I stayed with a friend down in Surprise from 1/3-1/5. She texted me the evening of 1/5 and mentioned that there was an oil spot where I had parked. I kept an eye on this when at home - sometimes I'd find a spot and sometimes not. I called Mark about this on Mon 1/17 and indicated my displeasure and total frustration as this needs to get resolved and I don't think I should pay for this repair. He said he'd have to make that determination later after all the info had been gathered. Not very reassuring if you ask me....... Mark connected me to the Service Dept. I made an appt with Jones Ford for Friday 1/21 at 10:30am. Friday 1/21 10:30a - Drove to Camp Verde. They couldn't figure out the issue so they kept the vehicle and gave me a loaner. Again I asked about Jones Ford taking care of things and no out of pocket $$ from me. Mark continued to be non-committal on this, making it sound like it would be ok and yet not specifically saying they would cover the costs. Friday 1/21 4:52p - I called to get a status update on the van, since no one had contacted me. Mark told me a part had to be ordered: he called it an Oil Filler Adapter??? Again, I expressed my concern and that I will not be paying for this repair. Mark seemed to talk out of both sides of his mouth: one time he said don't worry about it and 2 min later he said he'll have to look at things, whatever that means. 01/24/22 - Got a call from Bobbi(Service Dept) saying the van was fixed and I could pick it up. There was no charge to me for them to install the new part. 02/02/22 - 8am Noticed oil spot on the ground. Drove the van and got back around 11:30a and parked it. 02/02/22 - 2:30p Took the van out again and noticed MORE oil spots when I pulled away. 02/03/22 - 8am Noticed more oil spots on the ground. At this point I am ready to get a refund for the van. I called and asked to speak with the owner but he was out of the office for several weeks. I ended up talking with Mark again and got ANOTHER appt set up with the service department. This was the 3rd time I had to make the 40 min drive over to Camp Verde since the 12/27 purchase. 02/09/22 - They looked it over and said there doesn't appear to be any leaking. They think the leaks from last week were just residual leftover oil from the previous situation. 02/15/22 - I am very frustrated with the entire situation so I am looking to sell the vehicle and get another. Hoping it sells soon....of course I will never re-coup the money I initially spent on it. ***Plain and simple - I will never go to Jones Ford again. read more

The service and parts department of Jones ford Verde Valley needs to be overhauled in business process, and it's human resources (fire and rehire new employees). Unprofessional and uneducated in the art of curating above average customer experiences. The process of getting your vehicle serviced here (based on two separate experiences) is very inefficient, unprofessional and calling ahead to make an appointment won't mean you'll be in and out in an amount of time your busy schedule requires. I made an appointment, planned my week around dropping off my truck (left phoenix early to be punctually on time). Upon arriving it took 15 min to be "checked in" then they told us the driver that would drive us home (to sedona) was on an oxygen respirator and just left for a lunch break and that it'd be "around another 20 min" for him to return to then drive us back to sedona. When I said we'd have to reschedule, they looked at my girlfriend and I like we were crazy that we didn't have a spare hour to burn on a slow Wednesday. Dion from the parts department was defensive, angry and rude and spoke over me when I asked someone else if I could take a photo of my invoice to see if Babbitt Ford could service my truck. It was embarrassing and everyone in the waiting room turned to watch Dion's antics. I called Dion on the phone after I drove away from the dealership to let him know how my experience was so that they would learn from this and treat people more professionally in the future but his tone on the phone was yet again rushed, unprofessional, and defensive. He did "apologize" tho, but I'm afraid to say it was not genuine. I welcome the opportunity to be won back as a customer but I wouldn't be surprised if business at Jones Ford Very Valley continues on as "usual"... read more

I was emailing a salesman BC, 1) he told me that the truck I wanted would be delivered to me in Phoenix to look at, after a week, they called and told me that I had to drive up to see them. 2) we agreed on a price, $17,900 otd, to everyone that means out the door. Lie #2. I drove up there, test drive the truck. Liked it, then they told me that I had to put $2500 on top of $17,900 out the door. Total B.S... Stay in Phoenix. I'm not a great story teller but my sisters and I were on our way to a much anticipated retreat in Sedona AZ in 109 degrees temperature with car that had been overheating and providing no air conditioning ...we got off the highway, we were in a foreign area no idea what to do ... we came across Jones Ford ....they welcomed us, took care of our car , offered us ice cream and we had the privilege to bring there when a couple had come by to thank them for saving the husbands life weeks before ... he died at their dealership and the service manager along with another employee kept him alive with CPR until the paramedics arrived almost 25 minutes later.... and we thought they saved us! I received a sales flyer for this dealership. It offered a reveal your prize game. match the symbol win the prize. That was it. Well lo and behold my prize was $ 1000.00. Down to the dealer I go. I sat down with a rep from the dealer and he has me push a slot machine type button. I push the button and he says oh! Great news you have won $2.00 I say ok what about the 1000.00? He says he is so sorry the flyer was so misconstrued. And no one caught it till it went out. All the prize match game was supposed to do was let you know that you had won a chance to spin for some sort of prize. I promptly told the rep. that he could keep his $2.00 for my time and trouble. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JONES FORD!! After purchasing a truck with 97,000 miles on it for $10,000 which I was not offered any warranty on other than the state required 500 mile/30 day warranty and even told there was no options for warranty (later to find out there was an option for warranty) I was very happy. The sales experience seemed smooth and reasonable. BUT DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU LIKE THEY FOOLED ME. 1 day after purchasing my truck, I went over a bump on the freeway and got flung into the lane next to me. Luckily no one was hurt and no damage was done, but wow! 2 days after purchasing my truck and one day after the incident, I called Jones Ford to address the issue. They set up an appointment for me to come in and get it taken care of, however, I live 76 miles away from the dealership and I am a full time student as well as employed full time, so obviously it's hard to get a free moment. They understood and set up an appointment for the following week. Upon arrival, all seemed well. My vehicle was immediately taken into the shop and inspected. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the sales manager came and took me into the shop. Let me take a moment to share some information. I am a previous technician for Ford, certified in suspension. My father is a Senior Master Technician certified in everything for Ford. We put the truck on a lift a few days prior and inspected it. What we found was that both outer tie rod boots were torn apart, both upper control arm bushings were blown, the left front wheel bearing was loose, and a dust boot connected to the steering knuckle was torn in half. My main concerns were the control arms and the wheel bearing and I informed the service advisor of all my findings. Back to what happened -- MARK, the Sales manager pulled me back and basically calls me a liar and argues that nothing is wrong with my truck and that they "don't make hundred thousand mile trucks new." I understand this as I previously did reconditioning for Ford used cars, however I explained to Mark that failing suspension components are a safety concern and the dealership is responsible for taking care of any safety concerns prior to vehicle sale. He again assured me nothing was wrong and even had their senior master tech explain why. He skipped the wheel bearing completely and they put the vehicle down. At this point I have been called a liar and told that my vehicle is fine. They then tell me to take a ride with the tech so he can show me nothing is wrong. The tech did not take the vehicle on the freeway, nor did he get the vehicle to freeway speeds (75-80mph) but he did take it on a bumpy washboarded dirt road. That wasn't my concern, though. I was done arguing at this point because I could tell they weren't going to take care of any of the problems. Mark then told me they couldn't duplicate the problem and that's the reason why, but proceeded to tell me to bring the vehicle back if it happened again. Surprise surprise. It happens every time I go over a bump on the freeway. And NOW my left front wheel bearing is KNOCKING. So now I can verify my concern audibly. I finally get an opportunity to call the dealer and set up an appointment (4000 miles/2 months after the first visit) and they try to charge me for diagnosis. No... this is a repeat issue. They waive the charge for diagnosis after arguing that they told me 2 months ago it needed a wheel bearing and upper control arms. But wait I thought they told me my truck was fine? Now they have notes that it needs work in my history? Shady. They refuse to repair any issues once again. I give Mark a call and leave a voicemail with my concern. He calls me back today and says he's gonna look into the issue. He calls back "even though it's out of warranty we are gonna do the repair for the internal charge of the part. $536." No. I let him know that is unacceptable and after arguing with him for 10 minutes, I ask for the owners phone number. Long story short, they are still refusing to repair my vehicle. read more

The only issue I had with the purchase of my new truck was getting a secondary set of keys in a timely manner, but eventually this was resolved to my satisfaction.
