Had a recall notice arrive in the mail some time ago and thought I had missed the deadline, but called Jones Ford and they were able to schedule a mobile session to replace a defective windshield seal. At the same time they completed another recall on my other vehicle. All I did was provide the VIN #. They showed up on time and got it done quickly with no charge. TERRIBLE service department. Had car for 17 days. Damaged moulding and replaced moulding and seat incorrectly. A service rep lied to her manager regarding the conversations between her and I. Service manager was dismissive of the condition in which my car was returned. Reluctantly returned car for repair of the repairs that were unacceptable . Then I received car back with one of three issues 'fixed.' I guess I have to live with their sloppy handling and 'repair' of my car. I don't like to be a complainer, however, it is unacceptable to have your car returned with damage and for a rep to lie about conversation. I feel that the damaged moulding needs to be completely replaced because Jones caused the damage. read more

I actually bought my Ford Bronco Sport Outerbanks out of state only because Jones Ford didnt have the Bronco I wanted ( I'm a woman and we don't settle for color or particular model)... I do remember going with my dad to buy his Ford station wagons MANY MANY years ago.. ANYWAY my Bronco definitely needed attention.... several recalls... From the moment I first walked into their showroom and was immediately approached by a woman sales person asking if she could help.... I immediately said i DID need help ... but I'm not who you want to see.... I'm here to see your service dept about several recalls... She treated me NO DIFFERENTLY... was so pleasant and said she'd be glad to take me to the right dept. I was totally shocked....( she deserves a raise)... I was then directed to Bill Perkins who COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER... and VERY KNOWLEDGABLE... This man knew his business..even went to get my car for me... and recognized the problems immediately...(and no bull crap) HE looked up everything associated with my VIN# ... and pointed out that my extended warranty was gonna expire on Sept 17... I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT but my house had burned to the ground on 7/7/23.... so i had NO PAPERWORK... He told me that I MUST get my car into them by 9/9/25 in order to get everything fixed concerning warranty.... I DID !!! MY POINT IS.... and I have owned a business for almost 40yrs... Update: If anyone ever brings a vehicle to Jones Ford for service twice they deserve what they get. Fool me once.... So Jones kept my truck for 13 days! Far beyond the 3-5 they told me when I dropped it off. Appears they didn't even look at it for the first week. How do they expect people to function without their car for two weeks?? And that was just to address an electrical issue that went away on its own, which they determined was just a bad battery. As for the two recalls, they basically just checked those and didn't replace anything. So it took Jones Ford nearly two weeks to replace my battery and check two minor recall issues to determine they weren't really issues. OMG!! Got a really good offer for my 2019 Raptor and a fair deal on a new 2020 Mustang GT convertible. My salesperson Lori was very friendly and invited me in for a test drive. I made an appointment and came in. We spent ten minutes driving the golf cart around the lot unable to find the car. After asking several other people, we discovered that it was in front of collision boxed in. Lori went back for keys to the other vehicle and I stayed to check out the new car. Lori came back with the keys and I followed her back up to the sales area. The car had zero miles to empty on the lot and I felt it should've been fueled and ready to go. We stopped for fuel just in time but for a car with less than 10 miles on it I would've expected better. Nothing like added wear on the fuel pump before break in. I had to leave for an emergency so I couldn't complete the deal that day. I asked for a few weeks and gave them $1k deposit to hold the car. As soon as I closed on a new home I called Lori and set up a date to come back in and complete the sale. Purchase day went pretty smooth. I had the opportunity to speak with the sales manager, Mark, who made me very happy with the deal. Numbers all worked out and I breezed through finance. Soon enough, I was holding the keys and leaving with the wife so the dealer could apply a clear bra and ceramic coating. As soon as I got home I realized I had left a package in the bed of the truck. Quick message to Lori and I was back up to get it out. A few days later I realized I left a piece of hardware for my radar detector mount. Again, message to Lori and she got it and I picked it up. Finally I was in the mustang and on the next beautiful day I put the top down. I reach for my prescription Louis Vuitton sunglasses and instead found that put in my stomach. I quickly messaged Lori again and had my wife stop in. By this time the truck had been detailed and in the sunglass holder was my prized... nothing. Everyone was spoken to including one of the general managers, Marty, who conducted a thorough investigation. I accepted the loss and the fault. Still upset that someone didn't have the integrity to turn them in. Lesson learned. Jones is a good dealership but do not leave anything valuable in your vehicle or you may not see it again! read more

When my lease was about to expire, I stopped into Jones Ford to lease a new vehicle. After spending over an hour with the salesman, he pushed me off to the finance department. The quote I received from finance department at Jones Ford was double what I was currently paying. Yeah. Not going to happen. And I walked out. Walking out, I immediately called the salesman who initially put me into the lease. Within 10 minutes, we had built and ordered my new vehicle with a minimal increase in the monthly payment. Fast forward to needing my 1st oil change. Made an appointment at Jones Ford for the vehicle's 1st oil change & to have the squeaking brakes looked at on a vehicle that has less than 12,000 miles. One of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only did they overcharge me for the oil change via Ford Pass points (Jones Ford charged me nearly 15K pass points vs. 11K pass points outlined on ford . com), but they also didn't rectify the brake issue. I literally watched the technician look at the rotors & then spray some lubricant on the brakes. I could have done that myself. Guess who's brakes are still squeaking? In attempt to be reimbursed for the overcharge of Ford Pass points, I spoke with Marty Maghakian. Marty was quick to offer a resolution. Unfortunately, Mary Maghakian never followed through with what he offered and I was left still being overcharged Ford pass points. After zero success reaching Marty Maghakian again, I called and asked to speak with a manger. The next day, I received a telephone call from Tom Gray. Tom Gray informed me that Jones Ford charges more "ford pass points" for an oil change than what ford . com has outlined on their website. Tom offered a "goodwill" reimbursement of the 5K Ford's pass points I was overcharged. But when I questioned their business practices, Tom Gray hung up on me. If you enjoy being overcharged and horrible customer service, Jones Ford is the place to go. If you value fair market pricing and great customer service, look elsewhere. read more

Our primary residence is in Charlotte NC and our second home is in Hilton Head Island SC. It was time for me to get a new car, so we went to the closest Ford Dealership to HHI, where we have been spending most of our time. That place was awful. Actually, their sales person was ok and their Finance Manager handling our paperwork for an all cash deal was great... but unfortunately, the Sales Manager, who is the son of the owner of the dealership was very unprofessional and did not know how to run a business. That coupled with the fact that they broke our new vehicle while cleaning it up and wanted us to take delivery of it anyway led us to cancel the deal. Hubby found Jones online and started communicating with the Internet Sales Manager, I think his name is Pank. He got a good quote, and took my poor old 19 year old Mercedes to trade in for a new Ford Explorer Limited. The vehicle is exactly what I wanted and hubs was able to get it at a good price. Bonus: Jones did not break it while they were cleaning it up. We will return when my hubs is ready for a new F150. Way to go guys. We were impressed with the way you conducted the whole transaction! I dropped my car off with their service department. 10 days, 4 visits, and $650 later, one of three repairs was completed and I received a car damaged from their diagnostic for one of the other repairs. They then told me that because I don't have photo evidence of them damaging it, they would - quote, which I have on recording - "do absolutely nothing" to fix it. In detail, I recently purchased a 2013 Mustang from a private seller and had the local dealership perform a multi-point inspection. They gave me the report for a few minor repairs, totaling under $1,000, and I drove the car home. Jones Ford is my local dealership, so I took it in for the repairs as I wanted them done right by an official Ford Service Department. A few days later, I receive a call from Chris Carey, the Service Advisor, claiming that my car needed $5,200 in repairs. I visited and had him and the mechanic, Kenny, show me the items on the car and paper. I instructed them to only complete a single $300 item - a rear stabilizer bar replacement - as they wanted to charge me $500 to swap a horn, $620 to swap the drivers seat motor, and $3,450 (!!!) on other repairs that they found and claimed I should have done. Once the work was complete and I went to pick the car up (after another visit during which Kenny refused to show me the issues and sent me to QuickLane to have their employees show me), they proceeded to charge me $300 in diagnostic fees for the 3 items that I declined services, which I felt was excessive and redundant but agreed to pay because I understood that the multi-point inspection and a diagnostic are separate. However, I requested the diagnostic results for both the information and proof that Kenny completed them. I then watched Chris proceed to type the "results" up in the service description box, off the top of his head with no information from the Kenny, right in front of me. Immediately after that I received the car with the requested repair completed, but found damage to the drivers seat trim from the diagnostic work (the clip that holds it in place was snapped off so it's loose and has exposed wires). I went inside to ask Chris or Kenny to fix it as it was not damaged prior to me bringing it in. I was very rudely told by Chris that he would "do absolutely nothing for me" because I didn't have photo evidence from the day I dropped the car off (I had a photo from less than 2 months prior) and that I would need to call Ford Corporate to get a replacement part and I could pay them to install it. It was so bad that I ended up recording the conversation. I think he was frustrated because I (politely) asked a lot of questions, but frankly, when I drop the car off for $1,000 worth of repairs and he quotes $5,200, I get to ask whatever questions I want. I also did not expect to have to document my car prior to dropping it off in case I needed to prove that Jones Ford damaged my car. When I asked to speak to the manager, Chris told me that he was (conveniently) unavailable. I left a voicemail for the manager, Chris James, sent him an email, and followed up on both. I never heard back. Obviously Jones Ford does not agree, but I think it's pretty horrible that they will quote and charge obscene fees, and then when a customer elects to not use their services, they will make up diagnostic information, return a damaged product, refuse to fix it because the customer doesn't have perfect evidence to hold them liable, and then their management won't speak with the customer. read more

This was my second time going to Iones Ford. The Quick lane oil change was great and I decided to do some warranty works. 3 weeks was the first appointment they had since they are busy. Nothing was critical to the operation of the truck, so I not a big deal. As I was telling the service technician about an issue (which there are recalls for), he notified me that unless they actually see the problem they cannot fix it under warranty. So I have to hope that the intermittent issue lines up with my appointment in 3 weeks. When I questioned the lack of common sense with the policy, my service advisor got very irritated and started to raise his voice. Telling me that I wanted the service today, which was not the case. Had check engine light on 2020 Ford Edge. Waited a month for an appointment, and while waiting got the check engine light diagnosed for free at AutoZone. Jones policy is $165 for diagnosis and it takes 1-2 days!! Took AutoZone 5 minutes. Jones Ford is not helpful and their customer service is terrible. They tell you it's labor shortages but they control their own schedule. Recommend using a private mechanic. read more

Worst experience ever at this service station. They do not disclose fees charged until you go to pick up your vehicle and have to pay for them for them to allow you to take your car. They charged me MULTIPLE diagnostic fees on items I would have never paid for a fee to have them check out had it been disclosed it would be charged on every single item I mentioned in passing (not just one fee for all). They then responded with completely incoherent responses to the items checked--my toddler would have come up with a more intelligent answer than they did. They told me my seat heater would be almost $2k to repair, even after Ford Warranty sent me an email saying it is covered under my warranty. The service Manager then refused to return multiple messages to discuss it. They completely gaslight and bully their customers. Truly one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Took my 2016 F150 in for a Sync update. It was working perfectly fine when I dropped it off. After three days of trying, they told me that they had somehow fried it, and couldn't install anything. I was told this happens sometimes, and there's nothing they can do about it. They charged me money TO TELL ME THAT I HAD A BLACK POWERLESS SCREEN FOR MY TRUCK. They can (conveniently) install a new one for $1200 though. When I asked the customer relations director to pay for the item they broke, he told me that he would decide after the weekend. Monday, this was his response: " You mentioned during our previous conversation that you would wait to see what Jones Ford, Inc's response would be towards customer retention. As it turns out, quite frankly, this is your first visit to our facility and we really don't have a good motivation to retain you for further business." Don't believe me? What's the point of scheduling an appointment if the mechanics aren't available to work on your vehicle on that day? I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance for what should have been a half-day of maintenance. I called six days later and they hadn't even looked at it. It ended up taking well over a week to perform a basic maintenance task. Are the service managers really so incompetent that they can't manage a simple calendar? Brittany at the front desk did not communicate my request to also have the brakes checked. When I asked her if the brakes were checked, she lied to me and said yes. Both shuttle drivers are either chronic drunks or deeply mentally unwell. Never going back here again. read more

Mark smith verbally instructed me to continue driving our work truck with trans issues until they would be able to get it into shop and get looked at due to jones ford staffing issues. We had the truck towed to jones ford less than 10 days later due to complete failure. The truck sat in jones parking lot for 6 months while mark laughed at my concerns of when they'd be able to look at it. After reaching ford corporate they promptly were able to get truck into shop for mark smith to deny the transmission coverage due to being 1000k miles past warranty and told me the conversation we had prior to DID NOT HAPPEN. Very dissatisfied. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I purchased a CPO Taurus vehicle and within two weeks of purchase, the factory sunroof leaked. I was advised to pay the $100 to have the issue diagnosed which revealed clogged drains. After flushing I was told the issue was cleared. A few weeks lasted, there were no leaks; one for heavy rain and, another leak. Called the dealer and was told flushings were not warrantied. I was advised to do the same thing, pay a deductible for diagnosis. After three drain flushing and ceiling damage; I still have leaks. Per Mark, the Service Manager as well as the Customer Service Mgr, there is nothing else to be done. It may be something I am doing to cause leak. I must be parking somewhere near debris. Totally false statement! All they could advise is to continue paying deductible and monitor diagnosis because no other owners have reported such cases. Note,I account as no one, after the sales transaction was processed. This is totally unprofessional, and exemplifies lack of customer service. This review is for the service department at Jones Ford; I haven't bought a car from them. My car started making noise on December 5th or so. I made an appointment for an oil change and an engine diagnostic on December 7th. They said they "couldn't" look at the engine, even though I'd scheduled it? Sure, whatever. I made an appointment to drop it off December 12th and refrained from driving it because the noise was frightening. I took it in December 12th and they told me they'd "try" to look at it by the end of the day Friday. My husband and I both work in opposite parts of town, so being down to one car for so long was frustrating, but we dealt with it. On Friday evening, I'm able to pick it up - an entire month's paycheck later, of course. The water pump and tensioner were replaced, and the labor alone cost literally 3x the parts. I was broke but glad to have it back. Of course, as soon as I get home (around 5:30pm), I notice the same exact noise coming from the engine area. I called them back and they said I'd have to bring it in Monday morning. (They aren't open on weekends which is, frankly, ridiculous, but I doubt the employees themselves have anything to do with it.) That was another working weekend without a car. About five hours after I dropped it off Monday, they called to let me know they'd just made a mistake and not tightened one of the bolts on the new part well enough. I was relieved, but um, you test drove it Friday? Did you not hear the noise then? Do you not have multiple checks before you send a car back to its own? C'mon now. Luckily they didn't charge me for the repair of the mistake that they made, but they didn't even offer me a free oil change or cleaning - just a "whoops, our bad." The agent (I'm sure that's not the correct title) I worked with was Jake. Jake was friendly and accommodating; none of this nonsense was his fault, and I could tell that he was genuinely annoyed by some of what was going on. Called Jones Ford this morning and was told that I could bring it in for their Quick Lane. Arrived only to be told that the person I spoke with failed to mention that I needed to schedule with Quick Lane on line so there would be a 2.5 hour wait. No brake light for me. It's tough for me to make this update, but I'm really at my wits end with Jones' service department. Sales was great to deal with, but service is just awful. Perhaps I'm just more used to dealing with Baker Mercedes, who are fast, communicative, and always on top of their customer needs, but Jones has made me SEVERELY disappointed. As you can see in my previous review, I purchased a 2016 Mustang GT - ordered - from Jones, back in October, 2015. On Day 1, I had an issue with the navigation system. It's popped up dozens of times, since, and I've had the car to the dealer at least three times, yet they say they can't work on the issue because it's a "known" problem that Ford needs to fix with a software update. First, they said they needed to see the issue, so I should take a picture or video. I do, they say that's not good enough, they need to see the car running when it happens. Next, I bring it to them with the issue, while it's happening. Their fix? Perform a reset of the Sync system. That's it. Oh, and each time I had the car in for service for this issue, the service manager wouldn't call me, return phone calls, text messages, or update me on status. I actually had to go to the dealership near close of business, just to find out if it could pick up my car. This wasn't an isolated issue, it happened EACH time! Fast forward to today, I've brought the car in for little, nagging issues - all warranty work - and was told that they'd get right on it. I sent a message to the service manager, Pam, to inquire about the work being done. She got back to me about an hour later, that they were still diagnosing the issues, and would get back to me about them. When I asked about a pickup time, or if they'd need the car overnight, she said that yes, they'd probably need it overnight. She asked if I wanted to pick it up and bring it back. Not wanting to deal with the hassle of arranging a ride again tomorrow, I asked for a loaner. At that time, I was told that I hadn't bought the extended warranty, and thus, I'm not eligible for warranty coverage. Not eligible?!?! I spent $40,000 on a car, and you're telling me that I'm not eligible for a loaner for WARRANTY WORK?!?!?! I love my car, but the issues I've had with Jones' service department really make me wish I'd have bought that Jaguar XF from Baker. I'm so disappointed in them. read more
