Constantly understaffed. NOT DUE TO COVID. Servers must quit here often? Today there were 2 people for the entire bar area of.....60+ patrons. I sat at a table for 15 minutes, no one ever came over, so I got up and told someone to help me please. It smells like bleach and Lysol. I like clean places but the smell sucks. The floors are tacky and sticky everywhere. So whatever they are cleaning with, sucks. This was THE PLACE to go to, and still gets tons of people visiting it. But when I visited, everyone is mad bc of cleanliness, smell, and staffing. read more

Waited to for a table on the patio (had a dog with us) for over an hour. There were empty tables. Finally, went to the back patio where it was self-seating. Advised host staff that tables needed to be cleared. They told me to tell the one person who was working the back patio. It was not their problem. Waitress came and cleared the table, left menus and took our drink order (water). We perused the menu for food for 45 minutes and she never returned to take our order. We finally left and grabbed fast-food elsewhere. When I posted the review on their site, I got the standard response - "We would like more details." I provided them. No response. Never again. Can't comment on the food because we never got any and, obviously, the service is subpar. Update: I amended my rating because someone in corporate or management reached out to me and assured me that the issues had been addressed with the entire team and training was going to improve. Ate there this weekend with my mom and entire family for Mother's Day. Not only did they get us in quicker than what we expected, the food was incredible. I was thinking that the entire time I was eating, then afterwards, my other family members said, wow - was your food as good as mine was?? We were so impressed! We used to eat at the different locations often, but have decided to not go back to any of them. Twice recently we ate at different locations and they gave us a nice discount for only getting the prime rib/steak without the salad or sides (Carnivore Diet ). The last time we ate there because it was good and they gave us a discount, the manager refused to honor it and said there was no way they ever did it. They also started charging an extra fee for credit card usage, which I can understand, but the prices are already high, and then no more carnivore discount, we just won't be going back. read more

This was a favorite local restaurant for my wife and I. Average food but a nice place to stop. My wife and I ate here nearly every week. Prices have kept increasing, so already more expensive than others like it. Now, they are adding 3% if you pay with a card!! No justification for that, other than pure greed. I been wanting to stop by this restaurant for awhile now. I pass by it every day when I'm at work. It's really nice inside. They have several TVs around the bar area. They are little on the expensive side in my opinion. I came here for lunch. I just got their French onion soup. It was ok but I have had better. The melted cheese was hard to eat. It was a little (stringy). I couldn't chew the melted cheese even with my teeth. The onion in the soup was pretty good. Customer Service: I walked in and asked if they had any lunch specials and they said no. I decided to sit in the bar area at a table. I placed and order the French onion soup and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I asked the waiter for the some crackers when he brought it out which he forgot about. They also let me run out of something to drink. I needed a refill and got impatient after about 10 minutes. So, I got up and walked up the bar to ask for a refill. A manager saw me and she came over to help me. I think the bartender trying to take care of everyone in the bar area and bar tables was a little bit too much for her. This place is always packed. I was so curious one day that I decided to find out why. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a hostess and seat to your table. The inside is quite larger. The front part of the restaurant is dining while the back is tailored for the bar/ after work crowd. We sat down to order a soda, whiskey and food. The Bam Bam Shrimp is a great chose for an appetizer. I suggest getting two because it was hard to share this appetizer. My fiancé didn't enjoy his Bison burger but we both enjoyed my Bistro Burger. The burger was a little undercooked for Medium but it was tasty. I wouldn't say it's the best burger in Nashville but it will pair well with a beer or two. This definitely is a family place and I see why they bring in a crowd. The live music, drinks and the many choices on the menu give you much to choose from. I do recommend you to come and to try something on the menu. It's a hit or miss with the food but the music and drinks will keep you in there for hours. read more

I've been to Jonathan's before and usually find it totall adequate. However, this latest time was abysmal. We arrived during a busy time and they said it would be about 45 minutes. No problem. They took our name and number and we waiting. After an hour and a half the front lobby was empty and they were seating people immediately. When we asked the host they claimed they texted us a while back but I never got anything. Upon checking their phone they realized they texted the wrong number (but wrote down the correct one). Once seated, the service was horrible. They took forever to take our orders and never remembered to bring us silverware or refills. The cocktail drinks were a mess, with them having gone to take out glass to clean it to prepare another drink for us. Even the water never was refilled after asking 20 mi idea earlier before we finally paid and left without any refill. Definitely a horrible horrible experience and not worth the cost. read more

My family and I are in town for a couple's trip. I was in charge of food choices. When we arrive, we were told we would have to wait 30 minutes to an hour. We only waited 30 minutes. Once seated, they had a booth for us, it was 8 so we requested a table. The waiter was very prompt and got a table for us. We ordered starters, buffalo chicken dip and the southwest egg rolls, they were both great. Our entrees were all great. I had the bam bam tacos and the sweet potato fries. A+. If you want to go somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere and feel normal, you will want to come here. Always good food, service, and atmosphere! I haven't had anything I didn't like! And I try to try something different every time I go. From appetizers like the Bam Bam Shrimp to the craveable Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich dessert! Great Happy Hour specials and extensive menu! This is our "go to" for Happy Hour and Late Night! Jonathans is a great local place (more than location but not a true chain) and is always so busy and lively. Customers seem to all really know each other and be friendly. They have two separate patios where dogs are welcomed with head scratches and water bowls! There are TVs on the patios but no heaters. The bar area is huge with TVs around the whole place. For big games they put the sound of the game on. The waitresses hustle and are efficient. The Food is good. They appear to have some fantastic happy hour specials! The bogo beer of the month was Black stone IPA and land shark. We will continue to come back here for the great bar in the winter and with our dog in them summer! read more

Hands down the best gluten free pizza crust I have had anywhere in my 10years of gluten free. The location had a strange layout, almost an identity crisis. Understand we are post Covid but here is the reason for 3. 1-Service was okay but the runners should know if you're having appetizers you need the plates for it too. Also look to see if there is silverware. If there is not get some. Simple things make for a better experience. 2-Food was okay. I've been going to Jonathan's since 1992 in Hillsboro Village in Nashville. The white pizza used to be good even great. It's okay now. Very little cheese. It was disappointing. The red pepper pasta was not good at all. It looked like they took pasta combined with the Buffalo chicken dip and shredded chicken. It wasn't good. 3-Men's bathroom was nasty. No towels not clean at all. It resembled a gas station bathroom. Jonathan's can do better. read more

totally turned off by the lack of concern for covid at this bar. Whether it was the beginning of the pandemic or now, there were no social distancing efforts. Additionally, only 1 person out of the entire staff at this bar had on a mask. When I asked why no one was wearing a mask, they said that the mask mandate had been lifted. Which I guess is their right but they are literally the only restaurant in town not requiring their staff to wear a masks. I was cringing as the waitress was so close to us taking our order and I wish I would've just walked out because my anxiety wouldn't let me enjoy my meal. Definitely won't be returning to this bar.
