10/13/2016 * First to Review I can tell you that Jonathan Smith, who was our Real Estate agent on the purchase of our first home, is one of the best agents in the industry. Although, this statement is all that you could base this on. Instead, I'd rather share the most stressful experience in my life with you so you can understand why I feel this to be true. Last Nov. 2015, I returned home from NY on business to find that the home we had rented for the last 16 years was being put on the market and we had 60 days to get out. The seller (our landlord) had spoiled us in that he never raised the rent. We had only paid $1300 a month for 16 years. If anything went wrong at the house we fixed it and didn't bother him with it. What a deal! Very nice man and we were blessed to have such an opportunity. We would have tried to purchase the house but being in the neighborhood that it was in (perfect, to us), we qualified but would have no $ to do any upgrades. I was heartbroken....and scared. What were we going to do???? You can't get a 3 bdrm/ 2 bthrm home with a big yard for our big dog for $1300. OMG!!!!! 60 Days!!!! This is where Jonathan comes in to save the day. He was referred to us by my Dads new wife and highly recommended at that. Jonathan was so professional and knowledgeable as I had so many questions and concerns. Through the holidays when everyone else was away, Jonathan was either showing us property or gathering up more listing for us to review. He must have worked through the night on several occasions to find more options for us as there were criteria that needed to be met. Such as our budget (minimal, since we didn't expect this to happen when it did), needed RV space or at least enough driveway for our boat, yard for our animals (dog, cat & turtle), close to my husband's shop & it needed to be turnkey. Oh yes, we needed it to be in escrow before our 60 days were up. This was a challenge that only a skilled agent could undertake. He exhibited exemplary professionalism as our agent. He guided us through every step that needed to be done on our part and made the transaction as streamline as they come. Believe me, there were some hurdles that the seller threw at us but Jonathan's prompt attention to details resolved the issue at hand in no time. We are now the proud owners of our own home in Fullerton, CA. We moved in on Feb. 23, 2016. Only two and a half months from my return from NY. I never would have believed that this was possible. Jonathan truly made a dream come true for us. Thank you for taking my late night calls and the drama. I know I wasn't the easiest person to deal with. You are amazing.
