Walked in door was unlocked. Apparently they're closed for lunch until two went back out to my car 2 PM. I walked in along with six other people . would've been so easy to just hand me the 10 page packet to fill out while they were closed for lunch since the young lady was sitting at the front counter not doing anything she wasn't eating. I didn't even know they were close for lunch. It would've been nice if somebody had told me before my appointment don't arrive before two because we're close for lunch.. absolutely the worst experience I've ever had going to a new dentist for the first time.!!!! Appointment was at 2 PM at 2:50 PM. I walked up to the front counter. The receptionist looked at me turned around, walked away, so I sat back down got back up again when she got back to her chair and she repeated it she just left me standing without even acknowledging me.!!!! it's a very racist dental Clinic,, and I hate to say that, but I felt very targeted due to the fact that I'm white they had no problems helping everyone else in there that was obviously Hispanic. How do you have a brand new patient walk into your office and not even acknowledge them? How hard is it to say I'll be with you in a minute.... or take a seat I'll be with you as soon as I can..... or I'm so glad your new patient that's coming to our office. How can I help you?...... but nothing just an evil stare and no communication.... It's so sad. We're a very, very small town with not a lot of options, but I will never go back again.

Here's the updated version:…read more --- I can't recommend Dr. Andre Herrera and his team enough. After years of trauma with another dentist in Salinas -- full extractions in 2017, implants not finished until 2022, and teeth placed so wrong my whole face changed shape -- I thought I was just aging badly. Dr. Herrera was the one who identified that it was actually the previous implant placement causing it. That alone was such a relief. When an implant with three teeth fell out this past August, I panicked. I'd planned to go to UCSF to save money, but they wanted to do zygomatic implants over a full year, with 2-3 months of no teeth and constant drives to San Francisco. After a consultation, Dr. Herrera's office called and offered to do the full surgery for $8,000 less than UCSF quoted. I couldn't believe it. I would add a picture but it's just not doing it justice! He did my surgery on September 9, and I walked out with temporary teeth instead of going months without any. I'm 67 and swell/bruise easily, so I waited a few extra days before getting them put in -- but that's just my body, not his work. I cried tears of joy. Huge thanks to his incredible staff -- Heidi, Rosa, Mayra, Melissa, Alejandro and a female anesthesiologist who was fabulous.Everyone was compassionate, empathetic, and gentle. If you're in Salinas facing any dental or implant work, see Dr. Andre Herrera first. I wish I had in 2017.
