Also, all our guests LOVED that it was an actual robot. People are still talking about how much fun it was. Leading up to the wedding - the owner was really kind, responsive, & patient. We were really late with picking out our backdrop (there are so many to choose from!) and picking out our logo (you can submit a custom one or he will make a basic one for you) and he never got impatient with us. Everything from start to finish was so easy! During the wedding - the operator assigned to our event was really cool. There were so many drunk people who didn't know what they were doing, but he handled them with grace and courtesy. I was very impressed with his professionalism. After the wedding - the standard time on his contract is 2 weeks, but we got ours in less time than that. The photos - ours turned out great. The lighting was a tiny bit overblown, but for photo booth photos - they were the best I've ever seen! There were a few favorite props everyone gravitated towards, but they had a great variety of props there. Everyone looked like they had such a blast. What's nice is that they not only give you the composited picture, they give you all the full-size pictures of the 3 pictures that made the composited picture. I'm super happy with the people, product, and service I received. If I ever throw another massive party, I'll definitely be using them again!

Now that you've happened to come across my review of JKH photo, you can stop and relax. These folks are the BEST in the business. Yes, you'll pay for it, but you'll get so much in return. Please, just go to their website! John was, by far, one of my favorite vendors of all time. His pictures speak for themselves, dont you think? He has an eye for capturing moments and making each one seem like its a piece of art. I cannot imagine having gone with someone else. He was easy to work with (I didnt even know he was there, unlike my videographer, who I mention below). He has done tons of weddings and is published in lots of magazines and has won a lot of awards. He and his brother, Joey, work together and they will not disappoint you (I will try to post some engagement shots below b/c Joey did those. They have similar style and are equally good to work with). You will have a set of photographs to cherish forever. It you splurge on anything, make it the photographer. Details count but you need someone who will make you remember your day fondly. That is the best advice I can give you. Also, make sure you connect with your photographer and that you like their work. If you dont like their work and go with them b/c they are cheap, you will regret it. Believe me. I have friends who wish they went with someone else. Anyway, my package cost me $6400, which is probably the most expensive package. I had 10.5 hours of photography (I paid for an extra hour), got 600+ photos with editing (You cant even imagine how many good shots there were my bio is only a small glimpse), a coffee table album, and the best thing of all is that I got all my proofs and get an electronic copy of all my shots. He has packages starting at $3500 or so, so if you are having a shorter day (e.g., 5 hours or so), like most normal people, do not rule out John and Joey b/c of costs!!!!

They are really great at capturing all kinds of funny expressions, they have two cameras going and keep snapping shots. Also, they are great people! Easy to communicate with, very creative and nice so it's easy for everyone to get comfortable around them, including the subjects (or objects) being photographed. We also got a couple of shots of our dogs, which are awesome.... It is really hard to get professional shots of animals because where do you take them? Not to the mall photographer.... to the Petsmart photo day? I don't think so .... So Sara and Ryan are also great if you want professional shots of your pets.... since they are nice and trustworthy, the animal get comfortable around them really fast so the photos come out great! I'll be uploading a couple to show you what I mean :) Anyway! We won't hesitate to call them again if we need professional photographers in the future.... baby's birthday will probably be next :) If you're looking for nice, professional & personable photographers, look no further .... you've come to the right place ;-)

My now wife and I are originally from back east, and never really felt at home in the O.C. The vibe out there is, well...not for us. When we started searching for our photographer, we came across many high-end companies dropping names and peddling their celebrity wedding shots. This was the exact opposite of what we wanted for our small, intimate event. We finally stumbled across www.saraplusryan.com (our photos are posted on their blog) and knew instantly they would get it. And us. We video chatted one time, had dinner another, and it was settled. On the big day, they arrived early and made us feel at ease while we got ready. We had a "first look" session before the ceremony that, to my surprise, wasn't awkward AT ALL. I was worried we'd look stiff and posed, but these two make you feel so comfortable you forget all that and just enjoy the moment with your partner. They flew through the obligatory (read: boring) family portraits in no time, which we personally appreciated. Though I'm sure they'd tailor time spent on certain shots to whatever the couple wanted. During the ceremony, they captured so many emotions in such unique ways. And at the reception, you literally don't realize they're even there. This made for incredibly candid, genuine shots of many intimate moments with our families and friends. After the toast, it was time for them to go. I almost asked them to stay for dinner, at least the 1st course! We received our photos in no time (2 weeks, maybe) via an email system that was very convenient to download, order prints and share with others. Going through them the first time, we were floored. Their style is one of photojournalism- capturing moments as they arise with unique perspectives and small, creative touches that make it seem like you're there when it's happening. It told the story of our day without words. They are truly talented. We couldn't be happier with Sara and Ryan's services, and will cherish the memories they gave us forever. I fell in love their work through various wedding blogs, and hired them to shoot our wedding that took place in August 2009. Dorothee shot our wedding and I can't believe how amazing out pictures are. Somehow she was able to be everywhere at once! My husband and I agreed that on the day of she was the perfect amount of "present" (guiding people, getting people together for group shots without being pushy, somehow always there the exact second I needed to talk to her) and "invisible" (she got a ton of great candid shots.) While she is only in Seattle part time, she still makes herself really available to answer questions, and is proactive about showing samples and figuring things out. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she's really sweet also. Just the sort of person you would want at your wedding. She has an abundance of great ideas, but is totally happy to take direction as far as what you're looking for in your photography. Her suggestions tended to be spot on, and she showed a wonderful knack for appreciating the complex dynamics of blended families, physical disabilities and all the other stresses that can make a photo shoot tricky. She isn't the least expensive of wedding photographers, but you more than get what you pay for (and she isn't topping out the high end either).
