To make matters worse, I had a prior agreement on the procedure and pricing ($400 max) from the dentist himself, yet the service and attitude I received upon arrival were dismissive and disrespectful. When I refused he demanded to know why, and after explaining it's too expensive, he said " Well you have all those other expensive crowns and root canals, why can't you have this done?" I have never encountered such unethical, presumptuous, coercive behaviour in my life! When I made my appointment I first verified that they accept my version of Delta insurance, only to be presented after the exam with a deep cleaning (periodontal planing) plan of care demanding $300 out of pocket from me. My Delta plan clearly states that deep cleaning is fully covered, and it took 3 refusals to sign before the front office clerk finally generated a plan of care with no demand for more money from me. There are many complaints of high pressure sales tactics and outright brutality and damage while cleaning teeth from patients on Yelp, Google reviews, and elsewhere. He is NOT a periodontist and is clearly incompetent . I will never return, and will have to pay out of pocket for another new patient appointment elsewhere. Caveat emptor: buyer be ware.

I probably shouldn't have, but I was eating pretty solid foods and was out and about day 1 post-op haha. I didn't feel much pain, only slight discomfort. I was prescribed hydros in the case I needed them, but all I took were ibuprofen and amoxicillin. Essentially, it's been 2 weeks since then and I had the best experience I could ask for!!

I went to specialists after who have confirmed this as well. But he isn't responsible. I guess someone else put in the implant. He also says I was sedated which I was not. If you've seen Little Shop of Horrors and the Dentist in it who enjoys inflicting pain on his patients, this is him. Especially women. Worst experience of my life. WOMEN RUN!!! I called specifically wanting a routine cleaning, and it wasn't explained to me that I would actually be coming in for a first-time patient evaluation instead. I understand that may have been my misunderstanding, and by itself it wouldn't have been a huge issue, but I took two hours off work expecting a cleaning and ended up being there for 15 minutes at most. It just added to the overall disappointing experience and I wish this would have been better communicated to me. For context, I've gone to the same dentist twice a year for the past 20 years. Who I never once revived a surprise bill from in all those 20 years! This was actually the first year I had fallen behind because of insurance issues, so I was really looking forward to finally getting my teeth cleaned. Instead, I left with a quote for around $1,000 worth of dental work and later received a claim showing that I owe approximately $400 because additional photos were taken of my teeth that my insurance did not cover. When this was suppose to be a Preventative appointment with a $0 co-pay. When I left the office there was no copay so they clearly never even checked to see if their photos would be covered under my specific plan ! This was after they had already taken X-ray photos ( that were covered). Every insurance plan is different, so assuming something will be covered it's extremely unprofessional in my option. And before they blame this on my insurance, my insurance covered the preventative services I went in for. The issue was the additional digital photos that were taken after the X-rays, which were apparently not covered. If an office is going to perform additional services, especially during what the patient believes is a preventative exam, the office should be verifying what is actually covered by that patient's specific insurance and informing them beforehand if they may be charged hundreds of dollars. I was not told I would be charged for these photos, and now I'm facing a roughly $400 bill for an exam I was told had no copay. If you're a new patient, I would ask before they take any additional digital photos of your teeth whether your insurance actually covers them or else you'll end of paying hundreds of dollars. The actual appointment was also extremely brief probably less than 10 minutes. The dentist told me I had no cavities, but I did not feel like my mouth was even thoroughly examined. There was no light used for an actual examination, and I didn't feel like my teeth were properly looked at before being told that I needed around $1,000 worth of work. what's funny is that when I told them that $1000 was a lot of money they immediately just offered me a payment plan .... Adding to it just not even feeling like they care . What's crazier is I noticed what appeared to be three cavities myself at home !!!! I'm not a dentist, but it was concerning to me that I could notice cavities when I had just been told I had zero cavities. I would have been completely fine being told that I needed $1,000 worth of dental work. My issue is that the overall experience left me feeling like the focus was more on how much work could be done than on actually caring for my teeth. I want to feel like my dentist is genuinely concerned about my dental health, especially if I'm being asked to spend $1,000 on treatment. Also, I was told someone would call me back about scheduling a regular cleaning, but I never received that call. However, I did receive an email fairly quickly regarding scheduling the $1,000 worth of treatment which is funny. Again, this is based on one appointment and my personal experience. I can't speak for anyone else's experience with this office. Unfortunately, mine left me feeling like the focus was more on money than caring about my teeth.

I went to another dental office before visiting Dr. Kim, and to my surprise they proclaimed that I had 8 cavities! This was not what I expected, as I was experiencing virtually no pain in my mouth. I also have a few fillings already, and their treatment plan did not sit well with me. I wanted a second opinion. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kim, and their office requested a copy of the X-rays that were taken at the other dental office. The front desk was very helpful in this matter, I was able to e-mail the X-rays beforehand. Dr. Kim compared my teeth to the X-rays and made an observation. The teeth in the X-rays were not my teeth at all, but that of another patient! I was shocked; how could the previous dental office make such an error?! Luckily for me, Dr. Kim and staff were patient enough to wait for me to call the other guys to send over the correct X-rays. While we were waiting for the X-rays to come in, he took some pictures of my teeth to try and get a better look. He went over the pictures with me, and from what he could tell there was not a lot of significant damage to my teeth. In order to fully diagnose the issue and to truly see if I had all those cavities, he needed to see the X-rays. The X-rays were finally sent over, and to my dismay they weren't very clear. Dr. Kim offered to re do the X-rays at his office free of charge so he could better diagnose my case. For that I cannot thank Dr. Kim enough for his kindness. We take the X-rays and Dr. Kim examines them carefully. He went over different areas with me and highlighted the areas that had cavities. He found a total of two cavities, which came as a pleasant surprise to me considering what the original dentist told me! You can't go wrong with choosing this dental office.
