I have been going to this office since the early 2000s, and with the addition of Dr. Patterson, commitment to excellence and patient care has remained exemplary. What I so appreciate is not receiving a sales pitch for services I do not need. They are honest and explain the situation and perform exceptional work only that is required. I've never been to a dentist that I trust more. In fact, I relocated a state away, yet still travel in because of my trust and faith in this office. I won't go anywhere else! read more

It was a little hard to find this place, it looks like just another house on the side of the road. Parking is a little tricky, but not a problem. The waiting room is nice, they have a great, modern selection of magazines. However it really didn't matter as there was almost no wait at all (this was 8am after all). One thing I that did make me feel uncomfortable is while walking down the hall to my room I passed a whole lot of other patients getting work done, so it made the office feel a bit like an assembly line. The assistant was polite and to the point. One thing that surprised me was Dr. Williams personally cleaned my teeth. I'm used to a hygienist doing that, but he greeted me, warmly shook my hand, and started cleaning. Perhaps this was because it was my first time, I don't know but I was impressed. The cleaning was quick and painless, and he did a good job of small talk in those little gaps of time when he's changing tools or whatever. Unlike other reviewers, I did not have a hard time finding this place - perhaps because I know the neighborhood better? There is plenty of parking and a good sized waiting room. The building does have several exam rooms, but I haven't been to a dentist in the DC area that doesn't. The earliest appointment is 8:00 and they were able to fit my fiance and I in within 10 days. They were running on time and finished both of our appointments on time, as well. The dentist we saw - a younger woman - was very thorough and professional, as was her dental hygienist. Neither asked a ton of questions - although my fiance was given a hard time about his occasional tobacco chewing - but answered any questions I had. Cleaning and exam were thorough and painless. I used insurance, so I can't speak to the cost. I'm not sure I loved them enough to keep going if they were inconvenient for me, but while they're so close to home, I'll certainly be back in six months. read more

I agree with Adam's review. Office is pretty open and small in the back, so seeing and hearing other patients getting work done was a little bit unpleasant. But, that wasn't a big deal. My dentist was friendly, attentive and more importanly GENTLE!! I've been to dentists and orthadontists that were rough and to be honest, rude. My dentist at this office was a pleasure to talk to, she was honest and forward with me about concerns and very professional. Me, my dad, g-father and mother go here. Real top notch! read more

I have been seeing Dr Williams since I was three years old. I REFUSE to see any other dentist. There were times growing up my parents would attempt to take me to other dental offices and I always asked to go back. Once you get comfortable with someone working on your mouth it's tough going anywhere else. Especially when you could go to 10 different dental offices and get 10 different treatment plans. Dr Williams has a wonderful bedside manner. He's caring, kind, and willing to work on any patient who steps foot in his practice. The best part is that he is extremely conservative. You can tell he's genuinely interested in his patients and their needs. I could never thank Dr Williams enough for everything he has done for me (and my family). read more

How can you not like this dental practice. It was great to have a very friendly staff, convenient hours and first class service. Dr. Williams has the best chair side manner and did not over recommend or up sell as my previous dentist had. I liked the sound advice and guidance. I recently had a chipped front tooth fixed up by Dr. Dayne Patterson. Dr. Patterson isn't my primary dentist however he was able to fit me into his schedule without a lot of notice which was nice. He was very professional and diligent in his work and I've had no problems with the tooth since. read more

Having retired from the Army, I needed a dentist. I couldn't have done a better job in my search. The facility is extremely inviting...not 'clinical' at all and very clean. The reception staff is very engaging and efficient. My hygienist and her technician were very friendly, efficient and explained everything thing to me, and I loved it when they offered, "Do you need to take a break?" while doing my cleaning. Dr. Peterson was very upbeat and approachable, someone you could talk sports with as well as your teeth. He didn't just look at my teeth and move on...he focused on me and asked several times if I had any questions for him and waited for my responses. I felt comfortable throughout the entire appointment and trust their expertise and care for my teeth. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Williams for many years and I love this office. The office manager is amazing and will explain any and all questions you have. I recently saw they hygienest Devon for my cleaning and she did a phenomenal job. I have TMJ issues and she knew the balance of being very efficient but also gentle. She didn't hurt me or my gums, and explained everything she was doing and walked me through each step. She knew exactly what size x-ray piece to put in my mouth. I've had other experiences where they were too big and it ended up hurting my mouth so that was a very pleasant surprise. Dr. Williams was not working that day so Dr. Patterson was the doctor who gave me my exam and I really liked him too. He was also gentle and thorough and explained everything to me in detail. I felt extremely well taken care of and will absolutely request to see Devon again and while I'm still loyal to Dr. Williams, I will happily see Dr. Patterson if Dr. Williams isn't available and recommend them both. Most people don't enjoy going to the dentist, myself included, but if you are going to one, this is definitely the practice to be a part of! read more

I have been going to Dr. Williams since my father, a dentist passed away. my father enthusiastically recommended Jon believing him to be a dentist with competence, hospitality, and ethics. My experience over these past 20 years has been exactly that. The office is comfortable and inviting. The staff is friendly, professional, and efficient. The doctors and hygienists are always on time, very respectful of patients' schedules. The location is great and always has parking (free). Most important of all, I know I will get excellent care. I recently brought a matter to Dr. William's attention (a slightly cracked tooth) and he patiently talked me through the best option. I saw him today and am so happy with the outcome. He is a delight to be around and I always feel he is attentive to his technique, as well as my satisfaction. the doctors, hygienists, and staff are alway attentive to patient comfort, as well. I started going to Dr Williams in 1993 when I PCS's in this area. I saw an add and it said he was a pediatric dentist (kids 3 and 5) so we gave him a try and I am still going. My daughter now 23 is married and has moved to the West coast, she schedules her dental visit to be when she is visiting in this area. My son 21 also is still a patient. I have never had a bad experience there nor with his staff. I do recommend him. read more

No one likes going to the dentist. BUT, since we should, I've been going here every six months since I was a teenager (I'm now in my 40s). I'm shocked to see a low average rating. Dr. Williams has been my dentist for over 25 years?! How did that happen? How is he still so good looking?! He's a really nice person. Anyway, I spend most of the time with the hygienist, and since there is little turnaround with the staff, I usually keep a hygienist for years. They're all nice. And it must be a nice place to work if I don't have someone new every time. Really, I think I've had four different hygienists in my 25+ years. I've had all kinds of stuff done - fillings, wisdom tooth removal (painless), even a crown (which went flawlessly). All fine. The fillings, not so pleasant but I think that's everywhere and it's mostly the sound that's awful. I would highly recommend this office full of nice people. Some of these reviews are too harsh, maybe some people are moody after the dentist. By all means, though, go to A dentist - we can all smell your breath if you don't. read more
